I don't care time had passed! I love this band and everytime i hear the new cd, i feel like a real grunge rocker!! Let's continue smashing some guitars and some head. COOOLLL!
People are just mad because what has become the Pumpkins isn't what you initially liked about them back in the day. Time happens, people change, music changes. In my opinion any band whose sound doesn't evolve over time isn't truely playing for the music.
I went to their concert last night. They were really great!! It was good to see the band together, having fun, doing what they do best, even if 2 original members didn't come back.
extremely. i went to their concert when this album first came out and i was one of the only ones singing to it. most people were just there for the old stuff.
2:55 is the most beautiful sound that was ever produced by TSP. Everytime I hear it I get shivers and my eyes tear up. And I heard it like a hundred times. Haunting.
I love this song im a die hard sp fan! I'm 75 vintage I just love all your music sp. Right from the beginning to your cuurant love your lyrics ❤ your sound timeless!just such a fan!!!love from this greatful pisces ♓ 🙌 💓 🙏
I love this! I bought the cd when it came out and I haven't stopped playing it at least once a day! This album is amazing, like I knew it would be. I've been a fan from the beginining as well, and will always be!Glad to have the Pumpkins back!!! Zeitgeist Rocks!
sp has just gotten progressively darker and sadder as the years go on, the vibe i get from this song and video is one of desperation and not of happiness or sorrow.
ok god , one of those songs hard to describe .. it uses just about most of the r&r routines and still is a kick in the head . so many music/lyric hooks to keep you down and listening till the end it's incredible :S and the bluesish short solos are just the thing this tune needs ! good choice on both leashing and letting loose the guitars :D
D'arcy was great in the early days, but she sucks now. She's a resentful old druggie. Melissa was cool, but I don't think she has what it takes to be in SP. SP work hard to bring us the music. I think she prefers just hanging out with the cool kids instead.
I've loved this band for like most of my life. I remember liistening to them on a tape my dad made for my brother. man i wish i could find it lol oh well,my brother has their greatest hit cd
This video is so awesome.... I keep seeing the ghosts of James Iha and D'Arcy.... I think that is on purpose, and it adds an absolutely amazing piece to an addictive song.
Billy and the pumpkins are ****ing Awesome! I quite enjoyed his solo album "the future embrace", My "then" GF and I went to see his show @ the commodore it was pretty damn good!
yeah. One thing makes me admire Corgan is his tightness and honesty writing songs like talking for medias. Once Rolling Stone Mag asked him for his favorite band actually and he didn´t name a band from his lable neither his country. He adviced an independent band called SWAVE, giving very good comments about their song "In the future"
This sounds good to my ears...this is all i know....sallrgith lyrics...good melody and homophony...and the video is archetypal psychedelia...its great man...
The show you guys gave at Osheaga (Montreal sept. 8th) was excellent. First time I saw you live, and I'm looking forward for another. =) Last album is neat. Keep the oath.
melissa auf de mer(former pumpkins & zwan bassist),that guy singin on billys right is the guitarist from zwan i think, dont think i know any1 else thats not actuly part of the band.band is:billy corgan(lead vocals, guitar),jeff schroeder(guitar),ginger reyes(bass, backing vocals),lisa herrington(keyboard),jimmy chamberlin(drums).
They just removed another one of this vid on youtube because of copyright infringement... hopefully they wont take them all down, this is a pretty rockin vid!
OMG, I totally forgot about this, i heard this years ago! now i was like.. "ok, I'm gonna listen smashing pumpkins songs that I've never heard before", scrolling around this caught my attention because I thought "Tarantula? I wonder wth this is about" and then while I was listening.. sounded very new the first seconds, but then, totally familiar! I didn't remember how much I liked it the first time, definitely I'm not gonna forget about this again, such an interesting feeling
Billy is a control freak. He played every instrument in the recording studio or every album except the drums. D'Arcy and James pretty much only did live shows.
i agree with what you're saying, he is SP. But people are confused by saying SP is dead, they aren't. All the great bands lose one of the members, but we can all agree nothing is better than an the good original band.
When Billy explains why he doesn't need to play Guitar Hero, "because he IS a Guitar Hero" (solo at 1:40 owns)... I totally agree. I love the newest incarnation of the band, hope it lasts for a good long while, love SP
the album is actually called Siamese Dream. The Smashing Pumpkins are my favourite band and Billy is GOD. I love all of their stuff, Zeitgeist was awesome, this is my favourite song on the album and my all time favourite sp song is "Today".
@Nero24k Dont worry. Billy is still playing guitar. He recorded all guitars and keyboards for this song (who all these other people are I have no idea) and most of the new songs on Teargarden. He is still one of the best players around.
New or Old... real pumpkins or not... This is and always has been Billy's show, his music and his direction on how every instrument should be played... with the exception of Jimmy and the Drums.... . This album verifies that He is true genius and his music is still very relevant. Long Live Corgan and the Pumpkins.... I do wish that Chamberlin would come back though...
ive been askin the same question about darcy and james myself. just for the record the new bass player and yes very very stunning is called ginger reyes, she has her own band called ginger sling, check em out on this site you will get to know her better which lets face it, is what we all want. just type ginger sling and away ya go.
All the recorded musical parts of the song are billy (vocals, lead, bass, etc.- save the drums which are jc) Of course on tour and videos you cant play all parts at the same time on stage which is why there are 5 members.
@guitarinsanity10 that might not be what he's saying if you find some devoted pumpkins fans at a school they're young and eager they would do an honest job at recording some fine music, but i think this lineup works well this is a really good track
For someone like me who knows of all their previous stuff this is difficult to appreciate :/ there were so many sentimental songs to relate to in the other albums, and they really touched people in ways no other could. I heard this album is really just to shout "we're here" and that the next albums will move onto the experimental side of Billy's work. To push the boundaries of music a bit further and once again reassure the older fans that they're still the same people. I hope it's true.
Every song is something different to everyone regardless of the authors intent. Someone said that it had to do with Billys fascination with certain things. To be honest, it does strike me as a kind of love song, but not the love of another person, it reminds me of what it's like to be an addict. The feeling like you always have to have it, even when part of you realizes what it's doing to you "drinking mercury...", or "dressing coffins for the ones you left behind..." for example...
We should all be thankful that Billy Corgan still writes songs. Fantastic stuff.
2021!!!

this song is fuckin great
This Grunge Song is great
I don't care time had passed! I love this band and everytime i hear the new cd, i feel like a real grunge rocker!! Let's continue smashing some guitars and some head. COOOLLL!
Smashing Pumpkins Is A Grunge band
People are just mad because what has become the Pumpkins isn't what you initially liked about them back in the day. Time happens, people change, music changes. In my opinion any band whose sound doesn't evolve over time isn't truely playing for the music.
I went to their concert last night. They were really great!! It was good to see the band together, having fun, doing what they do best, even if 2 original members didn't come back.
James and d’arcy?
I think that's funny, because in an interview once, Billy joked that he was Gerard's father.
2:55 is enough to convince me that there is a god
1:18
He pops the mic off the stand and it falls lol.
my god the bend at 2:57 gave me goosebumps
amazing song.
holy poop....this is one of the best music videos ive ever seen
This album is underrated
No sh!t...........
Very ...
This is comment is an OVERSTATEMENT...
extremely. i went to their concert when this album first came out and i was one of the only ones singing to it. most people were just there for the old stuff.
Me encanta! estuvo genial el concierto en MExico! gracias pumpkins!
2:55 is the most beautiful sound that was ever produced by TSP. Everytime I hear it I get shivers and my eyes tear up. And I heard it like a hundred times. Haunting.
VisitorCz porcelain of the vast ocean...most beautiful track they made.
Zero guitar chorus
I love this song im a die hard sp fan! I'm 75 vintage I just love all your music sp. Right from the beginning to your cuurant love your lyrics ❤ your sound timeless!just such a fan!!!love from this greatful pisces ♓ 🙌 💓 🙏
Tbh, from someone who has all their stuff, this is probably their 4th best album as a whole
are you psychic. he looks like he's having a good time
1:19 billy drop the mic and smile xD
1:19
I love this! I bought the cd when it came out and I haven't stopped playing it at least once a day! This album is amazing, like I knew it would be. I've been a fan from the beginining as well, and will always be!Glad to have the Pumpkins back!!!
Zeitgeist Rocks!
Good fkn song right there, yeah.
yet another amazing song from the smashing pumpkins, this was one of the songs i had on repeat constantly!! :)
damn, this vid almost as old as youtube. Kind of a miracle considering how often copyright changes on youtube music tracks
sp has just gotten progressively darker and sadder as the years go on, the vibe i get from this song and video is one of desperation and not of happiness or sorrow.
@reversetriangle the drummer is the original drummer, and the gutairist isnt asian. jeff is just a white dude that can shred
ok god , one of those songs hard to describe .. it uses just about most of the r&r routines and still is a kick in the head . so many music/lyric hooks to keep you down and listening till the end it's incredible :S and the bluesish short solos are just the thing this tune needs ! good choice on both leashing and letting loose the guitars :D
Jimmy: Where did all these damn kids come from?
This song is up there with their old stuff. Bring back Smashing Pumpkins, Bring back the depressing sound, really spoke to me.
just imagine watching this when you're on acid
This is one of my favorite songs ever and a fairly creative music video. awesome.
They really need to remaster this lmao, 240p💀
My favorite song of them !!!
i love the bass girlll lol!
awesome song
great band!
I miss D'arcy...
You missed someone who didn’t want to be in the band? By the way, she hurt what they did
I wish my homegirl Melissa Auf der Maur stayed in the band after touring for Machina.
I remember liistening to them on a tape my dad made for my brother. man i wish i could find it lol oh well,my brother has their greatest hit cd
billy corrigan is starting to morph into skeletor from the he-man film.
This has been my favorite song for a while now. Love itt.
Anyone 2018
Yup. Still good. But I want a remaster.
Hi, im here
It's 2020 and I'll still take your place, even in the pouring rain...
Best of the Smashing Pumpkins right there on those two albums.
I agree with you, he's been my favorite artist since Gish, can't wait to hear new music.
Oh, God, it really does! That's creepy. This is a great song, Russell! Thanks for sending it to me. :)
..das!!! Na sinto as minhas bolas... are flying some where... i think!!!
Mesmo em playback, sinto sempre um formigueiro nas partes baixas... das!!!
i love this song,
the background design is amazing
yeah. One thing makes me admire Corgan is his tightness and honesty writing songs like talking for medias. Once Rolling Stone Mag asked him for his favorite band actually and he didn´t name a band from his lable neither his country. He adviced an independent band called SWAVE, giving very good comments about their song "In the future"
the guitar tone in the solos is really cool, its sorta visceral i guess is the best way i can describe it
love the solo breakdown. Simply smashing! Get your fists up! Yay!
Keep the oath.

i haven't heard this song in so long...feels good to hear it!
I totally agree with you there,
it's such a shame they didn't make anything beautiful out of this..
Absolutely AWESOME!!!!!
very catchy, love the background and good singing
I heard this song from the Bound for Glory pay-per-view and I totally loved it. It's so awesome.
If the smashing pumpkins didnt exist I would have never gotten into rock music.
this band saved my life.
This Grunge band Saved my life too.
I dont think he's in a cult...
"I want to be there when you're happy, I want to love you when your sad."
Truly amazing song and video
I love this music video and this song!

i agree with you, Gish and Siamese Dream are really awesome

Billy is a control freak. He played every instrument in the recording studio or every album except the drums. D'Arcy and James pretty much only did live shows.
Oh, God, I just LOVE this song! :D
i agree with what you're saying, he is SP. But people are confused by saying SP is dead, they aren't. All the great bands lose one of the members, but we can all agree nothing is better than an the good original band.
They all look soo cool in this video
The vide ROCKS! The uniforms are cool :D
Smashing Pumpkins FOREVER1!
Please come back to Portugal :)
@medellia85 WoW ..try putting on some of the OLD 3d glasses with the red and blue lenses...works for me..looks so cool lol
I really like this song...one of the few Smashing Pumpkins songs I heard.
When Billy explains why he doesn't need to play Guitar Hero, "because he IS a Guitar Hero" (solo at 1:40 owns)... I totally agree. I love the newest incarnation of the band, hope it lasts for a good long while, love SP
:D Amazing !!!
Ah..the numbers...never leaving me..do not leave me..i love you all. :D
the album is actually called Siamese Dream. The Smashing Pumpkins are my favourite band and Billy is GOD. I love all of their stuff, Zeitgeist was awesome, this is my favourite song on the album and my all time favourite sp song is "Today".
Nice song. And with the Smashing Pumpkins sound..
@Nero24k Dont worry. Billy is still playing guitar. He recorded all guitars and keyboards for this song (who all these other people are I have no idea) and most of the new songs on Teargarden. He is still one of the best players around.
i love this song and the video and i love smashing pumpkins there my fav:-D

This album verifies that He is true genius and his music is still very relevant. Long Live Corgan and the Pumpkins.... I do wish that Chamberlin would come back though...
Just when you thought they couldn't find a hotter bassist... Corgan surprises us again.
Watching this really makes you appreciate James Iha.
Love the song, love the vid.
ive been askin the same question about darcy and james myself. just for the record the new bass player and yes very very stunning is called ginger reyes, she has her own band called ginger sling, check em out on this site you will get to know her better which lets face it, is what we all want. just type ginger sling and away ya go.
Amazing song!
i was thinking that this world was not inspired till went again this billy corgan!!!!!!
i simply love this song!!!!
Love this band, always have. I'm curious, why the low quality? Would love to see some re-ups of HD stuff for the pumpkins
this video is amazing...
All the recorded musical parts of the song are billy (vocals, lead, bass, etc.- save the drums which are jc) Of course on tour and videos you cant play all parts at the same time on stage which is why there are 5 members.
love the song and the psychedelic video
Nice to hear Corgan is back in effect.
@bgamesed Zeitgeist is translated to mean "Spirit of the Age" or "Spirit of the times"
My dinner was good today.
@guitarinsanity10 that might not be what he's saying if you find some devoted pumpkins fans at a school they're young and eager they would do an honest job at recording some fine music, but i think this lineup works well this is a really good track
the original pumpkins line ups sound changed with every album,so it makes sense that the sound changed on zeitgeist.
WHOA! This ROCKS!
And I know ROCKS!
Out of the all the music this band released, this would be #1.
'Teargarden by Kaleidyscope'' New Pumpkins Album!!!! Epic 44 songs, i'm sure billy can pull it off, cant wait!!!
Every song is something different to everyone regardless of the authors intent. Someone said that it had to do with Billys fascination with certain things. To be honest, it does strike me as a kind of love song, but not the love of another person, it reminds me of what it's like to be an addict.
