I think both sides of this argument are somewhat flawed, which is why this argument is kind of painful to watch. In a very real sense, MGTOW is a move to change things. By taking men out of the "sexual marketplace" it is impacting women. You can see more and more news stories about the absence of men to date/marry, etc. Avoiding marriage and ignoring women makes a lot of sense for men in the 18-35 age range. For many men, removing themselves from the sexual marketplace is the most impactful action that they can take, even if to you it seems like a dereliction of fighting. The better analogy for MGTOW is not the soldier that won't fight, but rather the consumer who boycotts a product. My issues with MGTOW are about the duration of MGTOW and whether there are other ways to combat these problems that MGTOW should respect. If a MGTOW man wants to fight the war by disappearing, I can disagree but still respect that decision. If a MRA wants to fight the war by engaging in society, I can disagree but still respect the decision. Disagreements over tactics should not make people enemies.
Mimir's Head like many have said, most MGTOW want traditionalism - the "True", Patriarchal traditionalism, that we had before feminism: Men had more responsibilities than women, but they also had more rights, and women couldn't vote. I was married for 20 years go through the divorce court system that is so slanted against men. You do not get to decide how much influence you have in your children's lives. I wish I knew what I know now 30 years ago. Being a good provider does not entitle you to equal custody of your children. I think going MGTOW for a period of time makes sense. Most men between the ages of 18-25 would be far better off ignoring women and focusing on developing themselves. Deal with the sexual marketplace on your own terms. Be smart about relationships, particularly marriage. Nothing is risk free---particularly anything worth having. We should manage risks based on our own individual and informed cost benefit analysis.

It focuses merely on the premise that a man and a woman ought to have a "good family" and "good kids" and emphasizes that men screen/weed out Low self esteem, toxic females, Cluster B personality disorder women, and party girls/adventuresses. What it overlooks is the fact that women other than the aforementioned aren't 'nice,' or 'loyal' by their very nature, which is well-explained in Esther Villar's The Manipulated Man, and Rollo Tommassi's The Rational Male. It overlooks the very important fact of 'male disposability' in that not just women but society as a whole functions on the basis of men 'serving' and 'dying'. In other words, your argument when you talked about 'living solely for your hobbies' versus 'serving' is that being a slave to the system is somehow better than being a degenerate non-productive member of society(regardless of whether the man would be happier being that). That argument doesn't take into account the fact that life is short and a man, even a degenerate has his right to live and die as he chooses, to live for small joys, simple pleasures and happiness(even if he may find it in video games); because being a slave to the system means he'll give away his hobbies, happiness, enjoyment and sovereignty and die. Finally, it completely overlooks self-actualization and enlightenment(of which, celibacy and non-hateful detachment from women and society are a part) as a far better goal for any man to have. Clearly, self-actualization and spirituality>having a 'good woman/wife' and 'good kids' and 'being a productive member of society'. I'm a leading MGTOW content producer and I and others regularly say the same things you said. So how are we still MGTOW? It's because there is a large element of MGTOW that you are not understanding. Which is, before you can fix women, you have to fix yourself. That requires temporary exclusion. I think both sides of this argument are somewhat flawed, which is why this argument is kind of painful to watch.
In a very real sense, MGTOW is a move to change things. By taking men out of the "sexual marketplace" it is impacting women. You can see more and more news stories about the absence of men to date/marry, etc. Avoiding marriage and ignoring women makes a lot of sense for men in the 18-35 age range. For many men, removing themselves from the sexual marketplace is the most impactful action that they can take, even if to you it seems like a dereliction of fighting. The better analogy for MGTOW is not the soldier that won't fight, but rather the consumer who boycotts a product.
My issues with MGTOW are about the duration of MGTOW and whether there are other ways to combat these problems that MGTOW should respect. If a MGTOW man wants to fight the war by disappearing, I can disagree but still respect that decision. If a MRA wants to fight the war by engaging in society, I can disagree but still respect the decision.

I was married for 20 years go through the divorce court system that is so slanted against men. You do not get to decide how much influence you have in your children's lives. In order to have kids and to raise them properly in todays society, you would need to have your house and other bills already paid off and at bare minimum 1-2 million dollars in the bank. But so that you could be home with them to raise them properly in order to teach them your Morals and Standards well Homeschooling them to keep them out of the hands of the twisted socialist loving government, gangs, and other fuck ups who have the time to spend with your kids.

i don't think you read much on mgtow. it sounds like you think men gave up after one small inconvenient issue and thats it. it seems that any argument that could be made would be lost on your ideas. if you read more on the topic then maybe there would be something to work with but it seems that you have a shallow view of the movement altogether. as a side note i do wonder what constitutes as 'lost' especially when a young man wants to focus on himself and takes a lifestyle that isn't hurting anyone and is happy without dating or marrying a woman.

As far as I understand you it seems you made it half the way just one more step. There are two valid concepts in regards to the "fighting spirit" you admire so much. It is like a dichotomy between "honor" and "opportunism". If you choose the path of honor you might say, "I will fight no matter what and die if necessary. I am willing to bring the last sacrifice." On the other hand if you choose the path of opportunism you might say, "To engage in a fight I cannot win is pointless. I will rather avoid the confrontation and wait for a better opportunity to strike." You will always be wrong if you assert only one of the paths is valid. Acknowledge them both as valid, useful and good "fighting spirit". The decision between "confront" and "avoid" depends on the complex situation you are in.
And yes, MGTOW is indeed toxic. That's the point of it. We men are the power which runs and maintains this society and civilization. Now our once great civilization became an abomination on the social level. Time to burn it down. If enough men turn around, stop to contribute and begin to leech instead this whole thing will collapse pretty fast. MGTOW is simply the other side of the coin and equally valid as your mindset. I'm a leading MGTOW content producer and I and others regularly say the same things you said. So how are we still MGTOW? It's because there is a large element of MGTOW that you are not understanding. Which is, before you can fix women, you have to fix yourself. That requires temporary exclusion. Just look at Jesus, he excluded himself very often because of the general lack of purity of the people. In a generation where masculinity and femininity has been scewed greatly, it's important to exclude yourself for grounding. Lastly, no man is obligated to take responsibility for a society in which he has no authority to change. And in the current model of the U.S. men have had their authority stripped from them. So any call towards men to "take up responsibility" when they have no authority to stop divorces or manage their wealth outside govt intervention, is simply tyrannical.
Hm it sounds like you don't see much of the potential of this movement. And it sounds really limited you can see one solution only. And that life without a woman is so low quality.
