Turns out it was a bad fuse on the positive battery clamp 😅 simple fix. But I also tried getting my key reprogrammed but the lock smith couldn’t do it he ended up just erasing all the data on the key. So I brought the car to a different guy he reprogrammed it told me to replace that fuse and install the little sensor on the door. After that it started! Shoutout to him.
Not sure how it is with this specific car but you might have to put the key in and out of the ignition a couple times followed with holding the lock button to reprogram it to the car, doors might also have to be locked for it to work 🤷♂️ there's prob a vid you can find to help
A fuse went out on the positive battery clamp. Still had to have the key reprogrammed tho cuz the guy before erased all the data on the key. After that it started up no problem.
@@redrist3091 my issue ended up being a bad key, I bought my z from auction and the guy who made the key programmed a shitty non OEM spec key, got an OEM spec key programmed and it starts now, but additionally I have the steering wheel lock issue I still need to fix so the smart key doesn’t work. (For anyone looking for solutions)
I had the exact issue mine is a 2009 sport model. My mechanic had told me I had fried the cars system and that the car is in a security mode that the key isn’t readable. What he had did was reboot the cars electrical computer system and had it where it recognized the key. That was in December and luckily I haven’t had a issue before. I thought it was the steering wheel column but that wasn’t my solution even if I had banged on it from under
Bro it’s the steering wheel column lock under the steering wheel, it gets stuck closed or something and it shuts every thing down. You have to replace it or bypass it. I hope i’m not too late lol
Yo you fix it? I got a similar issue def not the steering lock like everyone says, I could cycle thru Lock Acc and On but i have the Two Symbols active "No Key" yellow light and the "Red Car with Key" Symbol.
ye i bought a new steering lock and no luck so i think its just the key not being properly paired with the car. Im going to give the car to some key guy that recodes car keys and see if I have any luck with him.
I have the same problem with my z doesn’t recognize my key I don’t now what to do I check the fuse and was already remove I think the previous owners remove and I check under the steering wheel and the module was already remove too
Ik im late but I’m having the same problem , I’ve been lightly hitting the steering lock column under the wheel for the past couple months just for the symbol to go away and it’ll turn on but now it’s not going away, the part is super expensive at the dealership too idk what to do , were you able to fix it ? Let me know please
@@FullMoon91 i found the solution it’s the wheel because the rear where smaller than the back ones it messed up the abs and all the lights came on so i went back to the same height wheels and it solved the problem as soon as i drove with the same height wheels

@@redrist3091 damn, might be one of those cases where you have to reprogram it digitally with one of those things that plug into the OBD slot
What did it end up being ?

its da fuse box w da + on it
Have you fix the issue yet
Yes it was fuse on the positive battery clamp
Leave the key in the key fob area leave door open hold brake pedal while banging that white metal thingy under steering console then turn on
After it turns on the is problem will happen again so theres a fuze next to the battery you need to remove
ok ill try
