The reprogramming thing worked for me in my 2018 Altima. Threw away a few new batteries wondering the thing wouldn't work. Finally saw this video and tried reprogramming the remote. 30-second fix did the trick.

Thx bro im actually locked out of my truck and was considering other alternatives like getting AAA or paying $150 for an extra door key, now im looking at airbags and realized i can help other ppl wihh this, thx
I have a 2015 altima and this happened. If you hold the lock and unlock while sitting in the driver seat for 15 seconds. Then hold lock for on second, release, hold unlock for 1 second release. Worked. You will know if it is working because when you push and hold lock and unlock the hazards will flash with in a few seconds of holding them down. I went through about 5 new batteries before this worked for me. No telling how long those batteries were on the self either. It is very possible those batteries you bought were bad too. Thanks for the info. It works. Just sucks going through all those batteries.

My car is starting , but it won’t lock and beep remotely . It happened last time and in a couple days later it started working again . This year has been rough and I just want one little thing to work as it’s supposed to , I might just jump off a cliff .

Ugh. So apparently the former owner out in some ridiculous alarm system and the car randomly locks itself. The only way to use it again is to unlock it from the fob, which isn’t working, can’t connect it for some reason Fml

@@generationblood2752 Are you sure the 2032 battery you put in is installed correctly or is good? I did the trick with the lock and unlock and it worked for me.
Everything, everywhere online told me that a 2017 Nissan Sentra took a 2032 battery, which worked to unlock my car, lock it, and open the trunk, but the car would not recognize the key for starting. The problem was that the battery is supposed to be a 2025.

My key fob don’t work! I can’t open or lock and I can’t set the alarm either, but I can turn on the car. Any suggestions, what could it be? It’s not the key because of my two keys fobs it doesn’t work but I can start the car!
my key works like there’s a light that stays red for about a second then goes away but it doesn’t work to start it or unlock it i have another key and i replaced both batteries in both keys and only one is like that
Both fobs sometimes don't work to start the car.(2014 Nissan Altima) There is no place to use the key to manually start the car. I'm only concerned in case I'm being pursued be Michael Myers or Jason...
Spent much of the video telling folks what a key fob is Mind you, folks who just replaced the battery and obviously already know what the heck it's for! Then kept telling folks to take it to the stealer, err dealer !?!?
That’s how batteries work. Electrochemical reaction happens inside, draining the chemicals, making it lighter, which means it doesn’t have as much power as it did
My Key Fob randomly stopped working. My other Key fob works. Although this doesn't seem to work. My battery was good. It worked Same day then remote stopped working. I can still Fob start the car... As in be in the car and it recognized the fob.

Answers the same questions various ways and sometimes with different info. AI is destroying content. Knew what to expect when I heard the pronunciation of Nissan.
If this doesn’t work, the other issues are likely the vehicle battery or the battery fuse that’s attached to the positive cable. I’d first start with the less expensive option which is removing and checking the battery fuse as a new one is about $30 at Auto Zone (you’ll likely visually see a break in the battery fuse if that’s the issue). It’s easy to remove and replace and if that’s the issue you’re on the road again in 20 minutes. Dealership will likely charge $75 for the part and $130 for an hour of labor. If that doesn’t work, it’s likely the battery.
2012 Nissan Altima. Anti theft light flashing. Replaced battery in key fob as they were dead and the manual key wasn’t recognized either when put into the slot. It thinks I’m stealing my own car. Anyone? Will crank when I’m jumped off an then shuts completely down with the push button light saying “lock.” Is my car possessed? 😂😂
I don't need a history on key fobs and when Julius Caesar decided Nissan should use them tell me about your favorite animal if you need to increase the length of your RUclips video for monetization. It would at least keep someone interested.

New cars, lame engineering, a bunch of electronic crap we dont need. What we do need is a car that starts.
