are you sure you put the battery in there the right way round? I am pretty sure in the early part of the video the blank side faces up. I picked up a second hand 64 plate qashqai today and the second key didnt work so i used this video to change the battery but it didnt work. It wasnt until later when i was wondering what the problem was that i watched some other videos that show the battery going in plus side down so you cant see the writing. 5 minutes later i swapped it round and the key works fine!
That first tip about putting the key to the start/stop button is a life saver mate. Ps your vids on the qashqai have really helped me out since i bought mine last year so thank you 👍
Shame they didn't make it so the top pops off with a USB connection so you can power the fob that way if the battery died - the work around for a low/dead battery doesn't seem entirely reliable in my experience. Give me a good old fashioned key'd ignition any day.
Excellent and thank you. Had my car serviced at Halfords and asked them to change the batteries. "We don't do that here, you'll have to go to Riverside" Went to Riverside "we don't do that here you'll have to go to....Wilko, bought batteries and did it myself, thanks. Also worth noting that if the batteries have stickers as my Duracells did, they need to be removed before fitting. Obvious, I know. 👍🏼
