I already owned 2 TrackMix PoE cameras and just picked up a WiFi version for my garage which doesn't have Ethernet yet. It is connected to the 5Ghz band which all WiFi cameras should provide. The clarity and quality is always perfect. It's recording to the internal micro SD card and NVR 24/7. I love Reolink cameras and the customer service has always been great imo. 👍
@@LifeHacksterDoes Reolink have any cameras that can be hard wired to 120 volt power like Ring makes. I currently have a Wi-Fi - Ring spotlight camera mounted to where my old porch light was. The power is provided by the 120 volt wire in the siding box that the old basic porch light was hanging. I am trying to find a better camera quality such as Reolinks cameras.
Thanks for ALL your superior video's. My husband and I are older and technically challenged. The Trackmix looks great, but I need to be notified immediately on my phone with preferably the live picture (my 92 year old husband lost his balance and fell backward on the driveway and was in a pool of blood). So now I want camera's all over. I had Arlo Q indoors, but the last year or more, could not get them to connect, then I read on their website the EOL policy (End Of Life). Arlo was super easy and I don't mind spending the $100./year fee. I would like access to the videos for 30 days. So now looking for new products. We purchased a Ring doorbell based on one of your video's, but thinking of putting it on the garage to see the driveway. We really don't think we can put it where the current doorbell is because it faces our neighbor's front and side of their house - and they are CONSTANTLY taking care of their lawn/flower beds. It's all overwhelming and confusing for us. Any other suggestions??? Oh, also, would be great to purchase the product through 'you' if you get the credit and have super deals!!!! Many thanks.
You can still place the Ring doorbell to where you doorbell is. Just lower down the sensitivity so that it will not get triggered by your neighbor. I'm sorry to hear about your husband falling and I'm hoping he is ok. I actually did a short video using a battery doorbell like a life alert -> ruclips.net/user/shortsN3a3gJ9dWsM Also Apple Watches now has fall detection which can trigger emergency services if it happens.
I wish your video would have came out before Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I would have purchased the Reolink. I did take your advice from a previous video and purchase the eufy S40 for 45% off on Black Friday $110 instead of $200.
I have the Ring Cam Pro. The Birds Eye view is a disappointment. Other than that it’s okay but the one issue that irks me is it loses WiFi connection every 7-10 days, why? I even purchased an XFI Pod to boost my WiFi connection closer to it. It usually reconnects but can stay unconnected for 1-24 hours, not good. Need to contact Ring about this.
Thanks for the comparison! Does the Reolink have a return to homs function after it has tracked motion? Meaning you can specify a specific camera position that you want to monitor until it detects a person, and then after it is done tracking the person it returns to that "home" position? Also, what happens if there are multiple people in the Reolink's view? How does it handle that scenario? TIA!
I like Reolink cameras, but I wish they would improve their app, and they would be the hands down winner for all cameras. Without a picture preview in the notification, I'm going to have to stay with Eufy cameras for all my cameras.
Their new doorbell has the rich notifications but they want you to subscribe to their cloud service. I have a feeling that they would be adding this to their other cameras soon.
so if the Reolink records to the internal SD card, in order to watch the recording you would have to take the SD card out and watch it on a camera or TV that has a slot for SD cards? So if Ring records on a cloud you can access the recording on your phone, tablet, laptop instead of having to pop out the SD card every time you want to watch a recording from the Reolink?
A friend of mine has Reolink cameras that are a few years old and says that it's too sensitive. Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down, the shade from the sun can trigger it off. He had to turn off his notifications because of it. Is this still an issue?
Are there any dual camera options like the Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell which have a downward facing camera? I'm looking for something I can install above my garage and have one camera facing out towards the driveway and street, but another camera facing almost straight down so I can monitor for packages.
So Reolink won’t give notification on your phone ( is that true ) ? Can you get the Reolink to announce on Alexa? ….Thanks! Just like always….great video.
It will send you notifications just no snapshot preview just text. I know you can stream the live view on Echo Show and Google Hub but I'm not sure about motion notifications announcements.
@@isidrohernandez5602 Now, the trackmix has 2 models... WIFI and PoE..with WIFI, you just need to power it up using 12 volts DC and for data, it will connect to your WIFI..but if you want a more dependable connection, you can plug in an ethernet cable also aside from power and set it up as network connection and not WIFI. As to the PoE, if you have a PoE injector or a PoE switch, then it will power up the camera and carry data feed just my 1 ethernet cable.
I would switch all my cameras over to reolink if they offered a true hard wired floodlight camera like the one ring offers. I've seen the one coming out but after emailing reolink it appears that will be a plug in model.... 🤦♂️
Outstanding video as always. I plan on purchasing additional Ring cameras in the next 30 days, so I'm glad I watched this video. I will definitely purchase the Reolink instead. Thank you, @Lifehackster.
hello i bought the ezviz c8w pro 2k+ but sometimes it is very slow to recognize a person and when you vote it does not see the person! which ones do you recommend as an outdoor camera?? thank you
Reolink has had issues with the PTZ camera features that still haven't been fixed, and their audio is total garbage. The app is definitely difficult to use for Reolink, but their video quality is great.
I want to go all in with Reolink and I would love to go with them, but the fact that they either don’t have rich notifications or lock them behind a $3/mo plan is a deal breaker for me. Such a bummer. I get that there are server costs but Eufy does it without any extra fee as do others.
I've got the PoE version of Trackmix and I can't for the life of me get the 2nd view to show up anywhere but when viewing from the NVR itself. Kinda bummed about that
Did you connect it to the back of the NVR? One thing you can do is re-setup the camera by itself and not on the back of the NVR( you just need a Poe injector or switch or power the camera via adapter) and then add the camera to the NVR..meaning you will have access to it twice in the app..the camera by itself and also it will show in the NVR.
@@LifeHackster I did. They did send a free PoE injector with it so I will definitely try that out. I assume if I use the injector I will have to have it plugged into a router and not the nvr? Thank you!

Reolink Track mix kills that Junk Ring " Pro" 1080p vs 4k with Track mix.. Plus Track mix has PTZ plus Auto tracking which right there blows away Ring.. Ring has easy to use software. Ring needs to step up their Game to 4k and make a auto tracking Ptz 24/7 recording camera.. then they can stay relevant
Ring is a stable system with a good app end even local recording it you use the Basestation Pro but their video quality is so bad, easily outmatched by a $40 eufy cam, what a shame. At night you can’t get enough details on the ring, sure spotlight helps but it’s disappointing for the price. Now I compare it to Eufy and it’s night and day, and looking at reolink it seems as good if not better than eufy. Anyway I moved on from Ring …

Eufy is better than Ring but the people going for reolink can actually have an offline system versus Eufy
that reolink speaker was also pretty bad
but they are very close to having the best system all around

The two biggest issues with the trackmix are 1) lack of patrol mode 2) a tracking camera is really gonna piss the neighbors off

@bloodyqueenharleyquinn3773...Thanks for watching!
is the only good feature about the spotlight cam pro the audio quality and the siren cause the reolink trackmix speaker is hard to hear
Thank you for this comparison video! Does the Reolink work with Alexa?
Reolink 100% win in all categories
doesn't have as good quality of speaker as the Ring did but I wouldn't use it anyway

Not that I know of. They only make video doorbell ones like the Eufy and the Maximus a while back.
In your opinion, the Reolink Trackmix WiFi or the Eufy Security Floodlight Cam 2 Pro is better ??
Trackmix..cheaper and is in 4K. The floodlight cam 2 pro is second.
