Wow. I now officially have camera envy. Blows away Nest outdoor battery camera and cheaper to! Much longer record times for free with SD card memory. And the option of NVR recording.
I really like this camera but the nighttime results are really disappointing. Every time I have needed to review camera footage due to incidents that have happened it has been at night. If this one was better at night recording I wouldn't hesitate to get it. That ghosting effect you showed was significant. Great video.
@@NaterTater Unless that firmware update can change the sensor size to something larger, that camera will be blind at night period. A 4K camera like that should have a 1/1.2" CMOS so it can see well at night.
This camera is awesome, but if you use it with reolink NVR, you won't be able to use the tracking camera on the mobile app, you will need to go to DVR HDMI and use it. I have connected Reolink they said they are working on it, let's wait and see
@@mohammadayache3991 Could you elaborate on this? I have a reolink NVR and am planning on buying this camera, but if I can't see the camera on the app then it sort of defeats the purpose of using it for me. Did you mean 'using' as in controlling the pan/tilt of it?
@jace3132 hello, the zoom effect wasn't working if you connect it through cat6 to the NVR, after a while reolink R & D team made an update and now it's ok. Keep in mind that if you are connecting it directly with the NVR , you won't be able to use the Time lapse feature.
How do I get directly to the event that triggered an notification on my mobile phone app and not to live view?, cant find a setting also any time frame on when this cam can use the cloud. I really enjoy your show
you can get thumbnails in the phone app also, maybe an update. On windows, you can zoom in on the record bar with the little blue lines with your mouse zoom wheel if you got it over the blue lines. Lots of stuff is hidden, and you got to find it on your own with right clicks or zooms
having the camera way up, makes it hard to see faces if someone wearing a cap and tryng to break in, what max height suggestion to install the camera. 6 feet above ground maybe?
Even though you can get the WIFI version you can also use it on an ethernet cable. You can use it on a POE with a power break out box close to the camera to bring out the power for the camera. During the Amazon Prime day they had these 42% off the retail price.
do you need an NVR to hook to your computer. I am expecting this camera today and I do NOT have an NVR. can it be hooked up to more than one phone ?? I ordered the WiFi one !!
@@NaterTater ok thanks i think i will put all the wires inside the junction box and connect the PoE LAN cable in there and then seal with silicone, what do you think?? do you have another suggestion??

Can I use this camera live ? For ex I want to use my tablet to put on the wall 24/7 to watch what is outside from my sofa and want to turn on app in this tablet
How you think is it better to buy eufy or this trackmix ? I mean eufy solocam . Cause i think trackmix have better mic sound and pic quality especially when zoomed . Thanks !

Hi nice video can this camera conect drirect to ethernet router? I dont have NVR .. if i can connect to a router i have to conect the camera on power? Or the ethernet wire conect the power and internet for signal?
@manuelcardona1723 the rlc-823a is better (and more expensive). Your router has to support POE to just plug the ethernet from it to the camera, otherwise you need to plug in the POE injector to get power in the ethernet cable.
Reolink TrackMix PoE: bit.ly/41zUEj1

I have a feeling it might be fixable with firmware updates. I'll see what they say.

Typically you want both, like I have a doorbell cam at 4.5ft and a 10ft overhead cam that is not easy to reach.
Just ordered it, I also liked the reolink rlc 523wa wifi.

Do you know how to remove the "zoomed in" screen from the app? I'm tired of having to select the "single" screen every time I want to view the camera.
I dont off hand but I'm pretty sure there was a setting for that.
I looked and cannot find anything that is permanent. I'll keep messing with it. You still using that camera?@@NaterTater
Is that really the length? Seems really short? How long is the cable for the package NVR option ?
Helllllo sir, quick one if you setup a patrol, and it detects a person (while patrolling) does it follows the person?
Good question. I didnt test that! I would assume it would begin to track and then return to patrol after motion stops.

Up to 10 streams can be accessed from the camera from any location. The camera works standalone without a nvr and requires a SD card for recording.

About 30ft
The jerky movement of the PTZ…Have you tried slowing the PTZ speed down to see if the jerky movement is minimized?
Does the NVR require a Static IP address ?
If you want access from outside your home it needs static or DDNS.

I think you can if you have a NVR
Is the wind noise picked up by the Riolink or your phone?

The quality seems a little low for 4k? Is that just youtube compression? Also what happens with cars?
Depends. Are you watching it as 4K on youtube? There is compression on the camera and less so on youtube. It can detect a d track cars.
good point on night time, cause most people want good visual at night time since that is when theft happens mostly. very disappointed with it
just received my solar panel trac mix today for $190 including tax
Good!
Why didn't you put a pole right there to extend it up 5 or so feet and you would have 360 degree view and could watch the kids play too.
Temporary install to test it out prior to permanent setup.
You are wrong. It is not a digital zoom. It just use a different lens for closeup and different lens for wide view.
It has two lens that it switches between and it uses digital zoom "between" those lens and to zoom past the 3x.
