It's all about the composition of the pencil lead. Hard 4H, more clay and less graphite (less graphite in the composition, therefore less electrical conductivity and more resistance, which means less current flows through the lead). The opposite situation is with soft 5B, more graphite and less clay (more graphite in the composition, therefore greater electrical conductivity and less resistance, which means more current flows through the lead). And since the cross-sectional area of the lead of a 5B pencil is too small to withstand the current passing through it for a long time, it heats up and breaks down, I think electricians will understand.
Yup, and since they're connected in parallel, the current delivered is limited by the total resistance, not each individual pencil. Meaning that when the 5B pencil drops out, the drop in total resistance produces a sharp increase in current which is why the middle one lights on fire almost immediately.

Obviously because graphite is a bad conductor and has high resistance. But it does conduct. So the load of current was also more and because of heat wood got heated.

Pencil 4H is more resistive because harder than B which is fat with more graphite then more conductive and darker also.

Apsara low resistance 😅
No, just the opposite.
High resistance bro
You guys fail physics class the 5B is a good conductor meaning very low resistance. The 4H pencil has a high resistance meaning low conductivity

not low resistance it's high resistance
B- dark
H-light
4H - more light means less graphite

low resistance = more current

it had lower resistance, so conducted higher current and got hotter.
Because nice guys finish last
So i shouldn't use my pencils as fuses? Ok... good tip!
Heat varies as (radius of the wire)^3/2
So, as it has more radius that's why it losses the current energy most efficiently as Heat energy
wouldn't it be better to test these one at a time instead of all on one circut?
I think so 4h pencil has charcoal other than graphite so it wont conduct electricity
Simple explanation of B & H pencil differences..
4H was like "mount everest ain't got shit on me"
Or maybe 4H was like "I'm broken inside, bro".

The pencils have different resistance, because the harder ones have more clay. The wire resistance is negligible.

Well led is good conductor
But electricity pass through short or efficient way so this is not the perfect way to chek resistance
Isn't the physics 😂😂 the last one everytime melt because of high resistance value 😂😂😂

Connect them in series next time
❤ Poor Conductor 👎 perish due to High Resistance to Voltage,it means more clay is added to graphite ,which reduced its conductivity
