You can buy an inexpensive plastic pop rivet kit with correct size rivets at Harbor Freight. Thanks for video.

Funny you mention that, I was at HF yesterday and happened to see their plastic rivet kit. Didn’t realize they carried one. Good tip. 👍

Agree, wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be. Thanks for watching.

I have found the best way to remove the plastic rivets is a small punch and hammer to knock the center pin out. Prying, side cutters or drilling all seem to mark up the plastic fender trim.

I started watching Scrufs garage because of my C5 vette... Lots of upgrades etc... I still enjoy watching the channel still...

I always did it from the top it’s a little more work. I guess but no tire to remove. Both batteries takes me about 15minutes. Just cover cable ends and be gentle with PDC

Why not remove from the top? Is there a lot more involved doing it that way?

Yes, the main battery has to be removed and the fuse box as well I believe.

Hey, i have a question for you, do you miss your C5 Corvette as much as I do? I sold mine about a year after you sold yours. I really wish now i would have kept it. It was an 03 with 14,000 actual miles. I still enjoy you videos. Have a good weekend.

I do. Ironically I look at C5 prices now and I'd jump on a C5 built like mine was for the price I sold it, haha. Though I suppose if money were no object, I'd keep basically every vehicle I've owned.
