    I find Geek & Gorgeous a very interesting brand and follow them a lot. I believe they have a moisturiser coming out later this year and an SPF 30 sunscreen possibly next year. SPF 30 because it is difficult to formulate a cosmetically elegant SPF 50 product

      @@DoctorAnne I have only been disappointed with A-PAD because I didn't find it to have any anti-inflammatory benefits. I have been going back to using AHAs because azelaic acid made my KP worse, so Smooth Out would probably be the next product I would try but I have 3 bottles of Isntree AHA Essence to use up first. I have 3 so obviously I like it but it is on the gentle side

    Hello Doctor Anne! I am an initiate in the wonderful ritual of skin care. I found out yesterday that gel cleansers should first be rubbed into the hands until lather appears and then washed off, because some gels are harsh on the skin when applied directly. And it really can be true, I noticed a huge difference with this technique, amazing. I use Avène's cleansing gel, the Trixera. Thanks for the video !

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  3 года назад +2

      I think this can be helpful for some gel cleansers, but certainly not for this one - it doesn´t lather. Most of my gel cleansers don´t, as the surfactant creating the foam can in some formulations indeed be drying on the skin. I have not tried the Avène Gel though, does it have a nice foam?

    • @belensolalinde712
      @belensolalinde712 3 года назад

      @@DoctorAnne , it has a very nice lather, without soap, but I emphasize that I was wrong to create the foam on my face directly, it left my skin very tight. It has a very good formulation, but it has perfume, it is strong at the beginning, but then it disappears. I would not buy it again, and I will keep your recommendations in mind ;)

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  3 года назад +2

      @@belensolalinde712 Interesting. The next time I have a cleanser that leaves my face a little tight, I will see if lathering it up in my hands will make a difference.

    Love you videos. I use the inkey list oat balm as a first cleans. Cerave as my main cleanser. I use good molecules toner, peptides and eye products. Thinking about adding color correcting serum.I'm curious if I should use the color correcting serum as a spot or all over serum.

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  3 года назад +2

      That depends on your skin concerns. If you have one area of hyperpigmentation, you could use it only there, but I tend to use it all over.
