You really know your stuff about music composition. I fully agree with all your concepts. Not too many people understand the importance of silence in music. The rhythm and pattern of silence is very important.

Thank you Amy for your patience and pace of teaching. I played right left for many years on a Djembe. loved it but all loud and power which really enjoyed therapeutically but now ready for a new start. My Handpan arrives next week a D Celtic and getting warmed up on my desk mat ready. Your style of teaching is ideal for me a real beginner in musical sense as have no idea of notes etc. As head into the Winter months and our tourism business all but closed this is the perfect tonic, so from a 68yr old I say a warm thank you.

This is great! I was taught middle eastern percussion a few decades ago.. by a strict Egyptian traditional teacher. Your emphasis on consistency of tone between hands and slow addition of variations is SPOT ON to getting basics of an instrument so that real progress is possible. Thanks!

I did not know that I was doing this technique all along by myself. And Amy you confirmed this for me. So awesome. So simple. No need for joining class that teaches set notes written for one to ‘get’ the hand of it. I think your style will rhyme with those who want to approach playing the Handpan calmly, intuitively, and with a little sound sense as you have shown us. I’m a Subscriber to your channel and will certainly like to listen to your beautiful but simple playing style. I completely connect with you because it feels the best way to playing the Handpan.🥰
