I've had these for several weeks now and they're the best headphones I've ever used. I HIGHLY suggest getting replacement earpads though. Cheap upgrade.

Just got these today , so far amazing, went from astros tr40 , to these i LOVE THE fact it stores so many game presets even has rocket league , just need to adjust the sound to my taste , killer job on these !!!! Love them
Would be great if you all would have shown a detailed setup for the Xbox which shows what audio settings you use on the console. I've checked the manual a few times and see nothing. I don't seem to have access to the EQ settings or anything on console. I can only change the headset volume and the game/chat balance. Incredible headset but I feel like I'm missing access to features

got this today, this video doesn’t help at all, my headset doesn’t show up on my pc at all, and the hot swappable battery that came in my headset seems to be not charging, if this is consistent through the day i’ll be contacting support since i bought it directly thru steelseries
Got these today from best buy.... Unfortunately going back tomorrow. They do not work with an elgato capture card for streaming (streamlabs OBS). Kind of sucks....
@@variumm So I use the elgato 4k60 card in my PC. I stream from my PS5. Unfortunately the in the sound settings for the ps5 when you change the output to the headset you get no sound on the capture card(so no sound while streaming). If you change the out put to HDMI you get sound on PC BUT no sound in the headset (if that makes sense) rendering them useless for streaming through streamlabs OBS in my case.

Please help....My Nova pro wireless X does not allow people i play with to hear me in game chat.....it works on the Ps5 with the Nova pro wireless X model. Is it really worth it? Is the difference in sound quality much better? Apparently the chat mix setting is not adjustable on the dac or the headset except on the headset the Arctis 9x if and I can use Sonar on PC. This is probably the worst headset I ever bought. Chat Mix doesn't work, I press and press nothing pops up on the screen on the box. Don't know how to turn it off, I assume same way as to turn it on but when I do. The sounds doesn't work. But once I turn back on battery is all dead. (I have no blue tooth connected)
just got mine for pc today I downloaded sonar and the firmware update required and now my headset is unresponsive and wont turn on. I have contacted steel series but they have not responded yet. does anyone know a solution for this problem?

The box only says Arctis Nova Pro Wireless but the video description says Arctis Nova Pro Wireless X, what is the difference between both, if there is any?
To expand on this, as the other guy said X is for Xbox but itll works with everything else, just has the extra security protocol for it. The base station has a usb and xbox usbc connector. Get the Xbox one, 0 reason not to.
xbox is stupid so it needs extra compatibility. arctis nova pro wireless wont work with xbox but arctis nova pro wireless x will. it will still work with everything just has compatibility for xbox.
@@halenbardock7031 I DONT get why they didn’t just make the Xbox one and leave it at that. If you get the ps5 model and decide you get an Xbox down the line you won’t be able to connect it to the Xbox. Unless I’m missing something .
Ear pads are trash we need some replacement ones. Preferably micro fiber. Dac is also better on your previous arctis pro. Why do we need to press and hold the knob to access settings on the newer dac? I own the previous model and I enjoyed it returned your nova back to Amazon. Smh

probably not because then they would have to work with Microsoft and Sony to get it to work with their party system (ignoring in game chat because that's another can of worms). but I know xbox already have chat mix in their party system that allow you to do it, and most likely Playstation as well (I don't own a Playstation so I can't say for sure)
I have the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headphones and I cannot figure out how to get the chat to work properly on Xbox series X. Everything is connected properly, and people can hear me during in game chat, but I can’t hear them. Settings are set to allow communication with everyone as well. Also, I tried using the 3.5mm audio jack from the controller to the headphones, and it doesn’t work either. Not sure what to do. Help!
So I figured this out today, tap the button to change your volume and it will change form game audio to chat audio. You have to have a little bit of chat audio to hear game chat.
@@AgentOrange88785 yeah I had done that already, but what seemed to fix it was clicking on the “Allow Passthrough” and “Do Nothing” in the chat mixer. I still get audio clipping from chat from time to time but I can hear people now.
These things definitely have a stronger more expensive feel than I’ve felt from other steelseries. They almost feel like a bigger version of the beoplay portals which have AMAZING construction. They are a collab so it doesn’t surprise me too much.
I just got mine, on the earcup where the hinge connects, there is a ring of raised plastic making it like 3 times thicker, and there are also a bunch of contact points underneath the arm that connects to the swivel, taking a lot of pressure of the hinge while you move them. But, only time will tell, hope they hold up

@Alex Tobola i got both the wired and wireless xbox versions and neither output 24bit might be on Microsoft’s end but still advertised on the box. Wired uses Hi-Res and both are advertised as using spatial audio but thats only through the “sonar” software which is only for PC

Xbox version has a dedicated usb for xbox and the second one you can link a PC, PS4/5 or Switch. PS5/PC version has no dedicated usb, you can use the two on PC, PS4/5 or Switch (or XBOX but only for audio, not mic/chat function).

@@leonlovelockfan2719 Not entirely sure, I couldn't get them to work at all. My PS5 recognized them but every time I tried pairing them I would get an error message reading something along the lines of "PS5 doesn't support Bluetooth accessories followed by a code of numbers and letters
@@samevans7684 unfortunately, CM does not work on PS5… at least ist seems to work on XBSX, albeit, there are contradictory Information in steelseries‘ manual, their Website an its YT Channel regarding this issue. They are clear, however, that CM is not an Option for PS5.
Lol I know it's been a year, but I've had the gen 4 a50s since August 2019 and they've been great. I switch the cups to the leather ones but left the band cushion as the stock fabric version. They aren't nearly as loud, and can be a little bit crackly in heavy bass sections of games but I just got the Arctis pros yesterday but when I first turned em on, and I'm being literal here, I was amazed. Shocked even, I went to turn it down instinctively bc I didn't wanna blow the woofers immediately and I am a loud music person so I was just basing it off the a50s max, well they were barely over half way turn up, so I yeah they're wayyyyyy louder than the a50s for sure. I think they're clearer too but honestly at this level you're just splitting hairs. I've got tons of audio equipment, built a bunch of car stereos from ground up and I gotta say this headset, the Arctis I mean, it's right up there with my system I built exclusively of Focal products. Which, if you are any kinda hifiguy or audiofile etc you'll know how wild it is that a few hundred dollars can compete with so many thousands. The hot swap battery is what sealed it for me. I've had to charge my Astros more and more lately as they get older and it's super annoying. The battery hot swap for the Arctis was absolutely brilliant.
This Video does not help you figure out how to pair to Xbox at all.

Seriously man, i can't find anything either. Whenever im in Xbox Party chat my headset is ALWAYS on, not voice activated like it should be.

Set them up and worked perfectly fine. Within 5 minutes the audio just stopped working. Love expensive technology.

You could probably find a better pair of wired headphones and get the mic separately. You can connect the wireless using wired though.

Yup. So just plug the base station into the back of the series s and your wired controller on the front.

So I figured this out today, tap the button to change your volume and it will change form game audio to chat audio. You have to have a little bit of chat audio to hear game chat.
@@AgentOrange88785 yeah I had done that already, but what seemed to fix it was clicking on the “Allow Passthrough” and “Do Nothing” in the chat mixer. I still get audio clipping from chat from time to time but I can hear people now.

These things definitely have a stronger more expensive feel than I’ve felt from other steelseries. They almost feel like a bigger version of the beoplay portals which have AMAZING construction. They are a collab so it doesn’t surprise me too much.
I just got mine, on the earcup where the hinge connects, there is a ring of raised plastic making it like 3 times thicker, and there are also a bunch of contact points underneath the arm that connects to the swivel, taking a lot of pressure of the hinge while you move them. But, only time will tell, hope they hold up
Its better, but how much better I cant tell you. Probably best to pull them on and off using the band as much as possible just in case.
Not getting 24 bit on XBSX. Maxed at 48hz 16bit. What a letdown

You download the software from gamerseries and select sonar on the base station. This is only on PC.

@Alex Tobola i got both the wired and wireless xbox versions and neither output 24bit might be on Microsoft’s end but still advertised on the box. Wired uses Hi-Res and both are advertised as using spatial audio but thats only through the “sonar” software which is only for PC

24 bits sound is useless, make some search. It is used only for studio mixing. You can't ear the difference unless pumping up the volume to deafness.

No, just like the previous gen the usb inputs are separate. What you select is what you hear. Dual audio only works via usb + bluetooth
Hello. I bought the xbox version of this headset. I want to ask, I have a desktop computer and a playstation 5. How do I switch between these two devices? more precisely, will I have a handicap by buying this xbox version instead of the ps5/pc version of this headset? I'm asking for help from anyone who knows.
Theres two seperat headsets u can buy one for xbox and one for pc and ps xbox has some other software so u cant use it for other devices
Xbox version has a dedicated usb for xbox and the second one you can link a PC, PS4/5 or Switch. PS5/PC version has no dedicated usb, you can use the two on PC, PS4/5 or Switch (or XBOX but only for audio, not mic/chat function).

u can adjust the mic intensity on your station, go to audio settings and decrease it
@@BlackMysteries1 yea I kinda fixed it. Just sucks you shouldn’t have to do that for a headset that’s 350+. I sent a ticket to steelseries and they said they know it’s a problem and they’re gonna fix it. So ima keep it and wait for the software update

@@leonlovelockfan2719 Not entirely sure, I couldn't get them to work at all. My PS5 recognized them but every time I tried pairing them I would get an error message reading something along the lines of "PS5 doesn't support Bluetooth accessories followed by a code of numbers and letters

@@samevans7684 unfortunately, CM does not work on PS5… at least ist seems to work on XBSX, albeit, there are contradictory Information in steelseries‘ manual, their Website an its YT Channel regarding this issue. They are clear, however, that CM is not an Option for PS5.

Lol I know it's been a year, but I've had the gen 4 a50s since August 2019 and they've been great. I switch the cups to the leather ones but left the band cushion as the stock fabric version. They aren't nearly as loud, and can be a little bit crackly in heavy bass sections of games but I just got the Arctis pros yesterday but when I first turned em on, and I'm being literal here, I was amazed. Shocked even, I went to turn it down instinctively bc I didn't wanna blow the woofers immediately and I am a loud music person so I was just basing it off the a50s max, well they were barely over half way turn up, so I yeah they're wayyyyyy louder than the a50s for sure. I think they're clearer too but honestly at this level you're just splitting hairs. I've got tons of audio equipment, built a bunch of car stereos from ground up and I gotta say this headset, the Arctis I mean, it's right up there with my system I built exclusively of Focal products. Which, if you are any kinda hifiguy or audiofile etc you'll know how wild it is that a few hundred dollars can compete with so many thousands. The hot swap battery is what sealed it for me. I've had to charge my Astros more and more lately as they get older and it's super annoying. The battery hot swap for the Arctis was absolutely brilliant.
