  • Yes, we know that the primordial sea water's dissolution properties work on all Fontainians supposedly but doesn't affect people from other regions at all. But that's exactly where the problem lies: What even counts as "Fontainian?"

I assumed that being fontanian means that their ancestors are from the primordial sea and thats why they disolve. Still dont know how it would effected mixed people tho

Arlecchino said ROSALINE died in a foreign land, since she was killed in Inazuma but was from Mondstadt and was living in and working for Snezhnaya

The sin all Fontainians started with the Remuria civilization, and I think it's the act of the God King Remus giving humans powers that didn't belong to humans.

It's got to be that these nationality differences are from blood lines as is made clearer with Khaenri'ah. But at the same time you get the feeling the difference between the blood lines and nationality / geography is minimal for the non-Khaenri'ah nations. The question is how long have Fontainians had the potential of being dissolved? If it's based on the "sin" Egeria mentions then it's likely some thing from the far history dating back before Egeria to Remuria. Otherwise it could be something that René did.
Also have you noticed it's gendered? Why do all the victims have to be women? Oceanids are all female. So what happens to the men who are dissolved?

Curious if Half Fontainian would be half dissolved by the Primordial sea.

Assuming only their fontainian component would be dissolved, it could be a crippling injury or straight up death depending on if they are more or less fontainian

I think Fontainian here refer to people whose ancestor is native people of Fontainian. it could be remnants of Remuria people who managed to survive and rebuilt Fontaine.

I read something like the Ousia/Pneuma are the visible marks/proof, and result of the sin the Fintainians committed. I saw a few theories about this topic on youtube.

Its very Possible given how Kheanrian really disliked the other nations unless you abandoned your god. There would indeed be little mixing. I won't be surprised be Kheanriah stayed relatively ethnically stable for the most part.

To be faur to celestia, the immigration of non khaenri'ahns only happen near the event of the cataclysm since that is when the "forbidden knowledge" only started to presumably destroy teyvat at the surface. The nation is punished when the immigrants have barely started to integrate themselves so the "sin" is not theirs just yet but by proceeding to seek to join khaenri'ah properly, they involve themselves while not actively a "sinner". We don't kniw for sure what laws or principles celestia upholds so this is just conjecture of why they might segregate the pure and mix khaenri'ahns.
