I quite enjoyed this video! The way you break everything down makes it so easy to understand what to do and what not to do and why. I also enjoyed listening to the personal tidbits you shared as well! 😊 Happy I found your channel.
I recognize most people want to learn about skincare for our faces, but would you consider a video on skincare for our bodies? What soaps? A scrubby or washcloth? Hydration in winter? ❤
In winter I switch to a cream moisturizer (instead of a lotion) 30 minutes after applying Retin A (tretinoin) at night and switch from my 20% Vitamin C in the mornings to a 10% Vitamin C serum.
I used to use L'Oréal Hydra Active Day Cream and it was so heavy on my skin and it would just "sit" there and not be absorbed properly. Plus, i would get break outs often. I switched to Kiehl's and it was a game changer!
THE TIMING OF THIS COMMENT! I just filmed a keratosis Pilaris skincare routine since KP flares in the winter. It’s coming out this weekend or early next week - check back!
Honestly I like a little fragrance in my personal skincare products. But if people are allergic to fragrance then they shouldn't use it. It's a personal choice!
Thank you for doing these videos. I would like to know your thoughts about snail mucin for acne-prone skin adult like Cosrx snail mucin cream and Peach Slices oil free moisturizer. Thank you.
@@TeawithMDHello Dr. According to the ingredient list Kiehl's of Ultra facial moisturizer, it contains salicylic acid. I wonder the percentage used in this cream has exfoliating properties or it's use for other purposes like perservitive?
Thank you SO much for all this info Joyce! I LOVE my La Roche hydrating cleanser so really debating the sunscreen! I wanted to ask if there is a reason your two spf reccs are chemical sunscreen and not physical?
You’re welcome! These two tended to be more hydrating for me but I love my tinted physical sunscreens too! My favorite physical one is the EltaMD Elements!
This is my concern, It burn when I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Extra Dry Gel Cream but it doesn't pill when I put the sunscreen, but when I used Skinfix Lipid Barrier cream it doesn't burn my skin but it pill when I apply sunscreen.
Just found ur channel & loving it:) Going thru all ur videos. Does the LRP Toleriane cleanser remove water resistant sunscreen? I don't wear foundation etc so just wondering if the cleanser on its own is enough for sunscreen. Thanks😊
Hello! Thank you so much for watching! I like using an oil based cleanser especially for tinted sunscreens; I find that the water based cleanser doesn't remove everything
Ty so much for the info! Relocated from Los Angeles to WA years ago and the weather takes a toll. Where is your office located? Would love to make a visit to get skin professionally looked at. ❤
Hello - that is so sweet! I actually have a virtual practice accepting patients for hair loss, acne, rosacea, and skincare regimen and antiaging advice. I currently have openings in February - check out www.skinrefinery.co to learn more! Would love to help out
Hello, I think if you like snail mucin and it agrees with your skin then that's fine to use! For me it's a nice to have not a must have. If you just want to use HA that's fine too
Hi Dr, for the last 6 months I went through extreme acute stress. My skin has lost elasticity, volume, my hair has thinned, and I have seen sagging where there was none months ago. Some of his has now began to resolve since the stress has decreased. I take very good care of my skin but I am concerned it’ll never return to its baseline state. Can it and will it? Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear about the stress that you have been going through! Stress can certainly take a toll on skin (I made a video on how that happens here: ruclips.net/video/vHAbI89EGTo/видео.html). It will resolve over time as long as the stressor is removed! It may take some time and special care to your skin
Hello, yes pregnant people can safely use chemical sunscreens; I did when I was pregnant. If you prefer mineral sunscreens then there are other zinc or titanium dioxide based options. I have all my favorite sunscreens linked in my shop my shelf in the caption of this video!
You mention not to use occlusives over actives, but don't all moisturizers contain humectants, emollients, and occlusives? If that is the case, then don't moisturize over actives?
If someone does not have an allergy to fragrance then I'm fine with them using products with fragrance. I also recommend a lot of products without them for my sensitive skinned followers and patients
@@TeawithMD I have family member who has been a dermatologist for over 40 years, and one of the number one NO NO for them is cosmetics with fragrances, because it will lead to an allergy even if we are not allergic momentarily. Thank you!

I happen to use the majority of the products you recommended (yay!) and love them.
Awesome! Glad you like them
Can you talk about keratosis pilaris on the neck and what products are useful, especially this sensitive and thin area!

Very helpful information, thank you! 😊
Thanks for watching!
My husband and I relocated to a “real winter” state so this video is super helpful for us! Thank you so so much for this video, Dr. Park! 🤍🙏
Wow which state? I’ve lived in nyc california and seattle and the cold really does mess with my skin!
@@TeawithMD We are in Wisconsin 😁
I moved to NH. So, big difference here too. I was down south before.
@@skateata1 Yeah, we were more south before Wisconsin and the difference of how my skin feels is crazy. I wasn't ready LOL

Thank you!!
Amazing video. I have learned a lot.
Thank you for watching! I also made a video about how to layer skincare - please enjoy!
The only thing I add in my winter skincare routine is a humidifier, saves me a lot of money from buying more products.
I like this too! I recommend using a humidifier for my patients with very dry even eczema prone skin
Right, humidifier for skin and hair both, works wonders!
What if the weather is very humid already?

What lightweight moisturizer do you recommend for dry skin because I was using cream based moisturizer and the sunscreen make it pill.
I like the La roche posay toleriane double repair moisturizer
What do you think of the new cetaphil gentle cleanser?
I have not tried it yet!
Do you recommend Cosrx snail mucin for switching with HA acid?

Can you suggest some sunscren for dry sikn?
Which of the moisturizers would work best for someone with KP on their face?
For Kp a moisturizer with lactic acid or glycolic acid would work best! I’ll make a video specifically on Kp soon!
Thank you!
If you are in the U.K., there is a brand called Ameliorate, and it was formulated for KP, and they have a face rang. It's available online.
Thank you!

Hi! Is it UV Spf 30 enough for face or should we aim for 50?
Thanks for the video 🙌
Hello! SPF 30 is enough for everyday use. I use 50+ only when I’m out all day in the sun or anytime I know I’ll have significant sun exposure.
I just found your channel. If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? I’m curious bc you look so good!
That is so sweet of you and thank you for watching! I'm 35
My only problem with hydrating cleansers is they don't seem to clean everything off my face. 🙁
Try double cleansing! Still gentle but gets everything off!
I like using a double cleanse for this reason! The cerave hydrating cleanser does a good job but if I’m wearing foundation I always double cleanse
Yes! Double cleanse is the answer
