This band saved me in pandemic. A month before the world pandemic started, someone i loved passed away the day of my birthday in front of me, my friends and family. When the pandemic started i lost my job, i was miserable for 6 months. I couldn't sleep. But there was Loathe that kept me calm every night i tried to disconnect my mind. And continue to be there for me when they released TTTB. I was curious on how Connor's departure would affect the band, but now i know why, Loathe keeps heading into a more obscure and ethereal direction, they are to metalcore what bands like Converge, Cave In and Poison The Well were in the early 00s when Nu Metal popularized. love the new snare, even though i am a sucker for St. anger snare, like. I like how they adapted that drum sound from bands like A Perfect Circle's last album or Death From Above 1979. They keep excelling themselves every time. I hope i get to see them live soon when this pandemic gets under control.
Metalcore did evolve into some bands going the djent route, and then you have stuff like code orange. The Metalcore influence on their last album was undeniable.

I'm sure I could argue that this isn't not metalcore all day, but in the end, loathe is loathe and loathe will do what loathe does- nothing but love for any beautiful music, and cheers

goddamn i dont know what the actual intention of the lyrics are, but they remind me a lot of my own struggles with depression and suicidal ideation. The ending of this song is so incredibly beautiful, the peaceful musical resolve with "take the whole world apart, it's all I need" just fucking hits me like a train. Its works of art like this that remind me life is very much worth living, so thank you Loathe and anyone else who made this track possible.
