There is definitely not one BAD version of the song. The OG, This One, The Sleep Token Version, or the Sleep-Token Mixed with the OG version, all of them are great in their own ways!
Each version is for a different mood that I'm in.
Loathe is really hot topic for this generation, their name will be looked back on in 20 years with nostalgia and inspiration

Both are great though. Do note, this is the first version I heard, I think those things matter a lot.
But the chorus in this version is incredible, the chord progression is so unique, that uplifting note was a brilliant idea

While I do prefer the original, this version has more of a raw emotion. The original sounds more kept together while this one lashes out.

Ok so I’m a dummy, are the vocals here all from the singer of Teenage Wrist, or are Kadeem and Erik still there in parts? At points it sounded close to the original, vocally, but at others it was pretty different! Never saw any official creditation. Either way this fuckin slaps.

While the original version was meant to be a related piece in the album, this remix makes the song sound more singular which makes it sound so unique. Not complaining tho. I love Loathe to death.

I absolutely fell in love with the original version of this song so I think I was going to prefer that no matter what, but I still really like this version. Sounds different but still has that dreamy sort of vibe the original had, love that early 2000s vibe here as well. Really just a perfect song nonetheless

This rendition kinda adds a sort of duality to the song as a whole, whereas the original plays more to a defeated and sad feel, this feels more like someone bubbling in anger, frustration, and confusion

I’m not the biggest Teenage Wrist fan, but I love how this has such a great late 90’s-early 2000’s feel to it that just accentuates how raw the song is supposed to be

@@sethymes5984 Yeah even before The Contortionist used that phrase i used to hear it in other places. i must admit i relate it to The Contortionist these days, they made that phrase their own, also The Contortionist is one of my fav current metal acts, they're so unique, from the epic trip of Exoplanet, the experimentation of Intrinsic, the wonders of Language, the beauty of Clairvoyant and Our Bones. Hope they release new stuff soon.
FFS he isn't saying The Contortionist invented the phrase. This song sounds A LOT like TC. and the "ebb and flow" line is very clearly a way of acknowledging the inspiration.

This is very nice, sounds even more singular than the album version. I loved the intro to this, just gritty shoegaze. I still prefer the album rendition but with more listens I think I’ll love this one equally.
