  • When a country agrees to share their space with you and other expats that are running away from winter, it's good to give back and make a positive contribution to the community.
This is a story of how myself, Terry #2, and a whole host of eager volunteers put their various skill sets together to revitalize and reimagine what a largely underused local facility could become.
With the vision of Terry 2 to create a Pickleball court, and in turn a community multi-use facility, and my contribution to restore the electrical service and install some lighting to extend the hours of use into the evening. Check out this video on how a group of ex-pats and Ticos alike came together to create the Junquillal multi-use sports facility and Pickleball Club Hub!
Thanks for watching! I'm Terry Peterman, the Internet Electrician, and welcome to my channel. On this channel I teach DIYers how to safely and competently work on simple electrical projects around the home. I will teach you how to do it right, do it safely, and save money by doing it yourself.

Terry... as someone who has a 40 year (love) relationship with Junquillal I am so very impressed by this particular initiative and how a relatively few, motivated group came together to realize it. It's simply a wonderful example of a win win ( frequent visitors/expats and locals) . I would have personally supported had I know it was happening! ( I play pickle and have a court in my yard in Vermont!). Unfortunately, I had a bad case of sciatica over the "summer" and could not play... but next year I look forward to joining you all! Thank you Terrys 1 AND 2 for this supreme accomplishment!

So proud of my dad and my friends from Canada 🇨🇦 to see this come together really speaks volumes to me! We take our facilities for granted here and I’m proud to know you and my dad and many others did this for the community! Enjoy and have FUN 👍👍🏓😃

I am also told by a friend who goes there that we have never really had a Pineapple here in Canada because we get force ripened instead. he said, down there they go out to the field and pick a perfectly ripe one. Could probably paint that meter cabinet Terry

Remember always look up. Those falling Coconuts can be dangerous.
