Apart from owen wright no one else got beyond vertical in this event. kelly with both of those manoeuvres ticked all the boxes in the judging criteria whereas john john ticked the commitment and flow box but i do not deny the 10 he scored i just say kelly was underscored for both these moves. tell me who else in the world can even do a carving 360 point me to a vid.
Others can do em & honestly hard to compare surfers of this caliber they all have there own style, good &. better days. That said I love Slater's style & he legitimately earned everything he's accomplished therefore, he's the goat. As far as contests human judgement is bias
The first 41 seconds were a waste of video time, and the slow mo is lame. Just do it straight, and it would be so damn cool, but you make it lame. Kelly Slater is at the top, do it justice on video next time, you didn't do it here.

Kelly Slater is probably the first person I saw surfing during this life I have now on Earth 5/9/2014. Or maybe it was in the movie 'Surf Ninjas'.

these are not necessarily the 2 best moves of the event, maybe by slater, john john's air, for example, is getting a lot of attention
