@@escorpioomega2111 Yes, it was recorded in early 1975, that's what I tried to say. I remember listening to that LP in the spring and summer of 1975. Singles were not a thing in Sweden. That was a format we associated with american jazz records from the 1950s.
I'm so glad that You follow a reaction to ABBA with "Mamma Mía" "Mamma Mía" for me is the best pure pop If someone ask me for what is a pop song, i give them this video and this song "Mamma Mía" have all elements: catchy melodies, more hooks, beauty voices and harmonies, it's funny It's a great song Not in my Top 10, but is really an excellent pop song This is an iconic video for which in Australia they asked that "Mamma Mía" be released as a single They did it in 1975 and it was #1 in Australia for 10 weeks and ABBAmania woke up there When the single was released in England it had a slow but steady rise to #1 and from there toppling none other than 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen in January 31, 1976 "Mamma Mia" together with their predecessor "S.O.S." are the songs that gave ABBA its musical identity as a pop group With both songs began ABBA's great series of more than 20 worldwide hits for six consecutive years 1975/1981, included: Fernando Dancing Queen Take a chance on me Chiquitita The winner takes it all From this list of hits I suggest continue with "S.O.S." (the single before Mamma Mía) I hope to see you in another reaction to ABBA My best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina,
Greetings from Sweden! Love your ABBA reactions! :) My mom is swedish. When I was a boy I used to go fishing with my mom a lot, and she being a huge ABBA fan she always played ABBA tapes in the car, so I became a fan from an early age. Like an Angel Passing through my Room is one of ABBA's hidden gems that I would love seeing you react to. (Just don't listen to it if you're sad cause it's a very sad song!)
Thanks for the ABBA. OK - I subscribed. I can tell your becoming a fan too and we gotta stick together. Stay safe and keep spreading the ABBA. It really does make the world a better place.
Emily its always such a joy watching you react to the videos, you look like your having so much fun and enjoying yourself, keep going girl...you are amazing.
Hello from ABBA's homeland, Sweden! Regarding the Agnetha pronunciation, all who said to you that you should say An-ye-tta are very inaccurate. You were closer before when you said Agnetha, but here comes the proper swedish pronunciation: Ang-ne-ta. There is a very subtle "N" pronunciation before the letter "G" and the letter "H" in her spelled name is silent. Trust me! This is the proper pronunciation. There's no such pronunciation as An-ye-tta, disregard that one. It makes me very proud as a swede to see someone appreciate ABBA's music so much! Keep up the great work!
YAY 😁🥰 I couldn't wait to see your reaction to this one. One of my favourite ABBA songs 🥰 And I think it's time to hear the song in which Frida (the brunette one) is the lead vocal. I can suggest to you 3 next biggest ABBA hits which is: "Fernando", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and "Money, Money, Money" 😊 Let me just add that Fernando is one of the band's 4 songs that hit the top 100 songs in the US charts. So the choice is simple for me 😁 Can't wait to see more ABBA reactions 🤩😍 Or... You can also react to next ABBA biggest hits in which Agnetha or both girls are leading. There are so many of them 😅 But I think most ABBA fans would like to see your reaction to "Chiquitita" and "Take a Chance on Me". Definitely the best ones 🥰🥰🥰
ABBA had a lot of great songs. Heart was another group with women as the singing lead. In my opinion, they were the best ever. You should check out Alone by Heart.
Thanks for taking a deep dive into the amazing catalog of ABBA's music. Supposedly, the group will release 5 new songs during 2021. It will be very interesting to see how that will work, because their singing days are long gone. Nevertheless, they were amazing song writers, so keep watching for an announcement! While we're waiting, there are plenty of their vintage hits for reaction. Alphabetically, the ones you haven't heard yet include: Angel Eyes, Arrival, Bang-A-Boomerang, Chiquitita, Dance, Does Your Mother Know, Fernando, Happy New Year, Head Over Heels, Hey, Hey Helen, Honey, Honey, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Have a Dream, Intermezzo No. 1, I've Been Waiting for You, Knowing Me, Knowing You, Lay All Your Love on Me, Man in the Middle, Money, Money, Money, On and On, One of Us, Our Last Summer, Rock Me, S.O.S., Slipping Through My Fingers, So Long, Super Trouper, Take a Chance on Me, Thank You for the Music, The Day Before You Came, The Name of the Game, The Way Old Friends Do, Tropical Loveland, Voulez Vous, Waterloo, and When All is Said and Done.
The two women of ABBA had a rare gift for blending their vocals into a perfect harmony. They really complimented each other. The boys, were the technical geniuses behind their sound and would use tracks of the girls doing the back ground vocals and add them to the main, so the girls were their own background singers, giving them an other worldly depth to their harmonies. Another great example of beautiful female harmonies is the band WILSON PHILLIPS, who were 3 children of great 60's bands. China Phillips (daughter of John and Michelle Phillips from THE MOMA'S AND THE PAPA'S, and Wendy and Carnie Wilson, daughters of Brian Wilson of THE BEACH BOYS. They vocal harmonies were so good, people today thinks it's auto tunes, which didn't exist then. Check them out. ruclips.net/video/uIbXvaE39wM/видео.html
@@emilyfeechi a lot of people think abba is not cool. Because they are so pure as pop (a d some of the songs are a bit sentimental). But there is no denying that they are probably the best pop band. They are a hit making machine
ABBA are incredible, one of the greatest songwriting duo's ever, and two of the greatest vocalists ever.
You will love the two musical movies based on the ABBA songs. MAMMA MIA & MAMMA MIA II
If you love ABBA you really need to listen to SOS it was once described as the perfect pop song
ABBA is dynamite. Please listen to "Lay all your love on me". Chiquitita is also fire.
