Agnethas parents lived in my neighbourhood in Sweden. 1974, when I was 10 years old, I rang on their doorbell. Agnetha opened an let me in to their kitchen and gave me her autograph while we were sitting at the kitchen table. She was very kind but I was terrible shy. But since then I got a crush on her...Saw her a few more times in the neigbourhood.
An emotional break up song. It means even more when you know the guitarist (Björn) wrote this while full of whisky and emotional, in only an hour. He gave the lyrics to his recently divorced wife, Agnetha who is singing it. He has said, "a tear or two welled up in her eyes. Because the words really affected her." Despite his denials that the song was about their breakup, it clearly had a great deal of the emotion wrapped up in it.
My favorite group of all time. Had 19 straight hit songs. A Broadway show, and two movies based on their music. Sold over 375 million records. Rock & Roll Hall of fame. They did it all.
Abba was one of the biggest groups in the 70s. They had 18 top ten hits including 9 nr 1 in UK between 1974-1982 even though they are from Sweden. Dancing Queen is maybe the most famous and Mamma Mia has named a musical and 2 movies with just Abba songs.
You really get into this video and it's great!! What I find amazing is that this group is married to eachother and she still sings this as they are divorcing. That's real talent!! This group is two married couples
Hello again, so nice to I see you first reaction to ABBA I love so much the Sweden pop group ABBA "The winner takes it all" is one of their greatest hits, #1 in UK and several countries, #8 in Billboard U.S. and #1 in Adult Contemporary U.S. "The winner takes it all" have a deep lyric writen by the guitarist Björn and singing at lead vocal by his ex-wife Agnetha, that gives an emotional and powerful interpretation with her lovely voice I don't know how much do you know about ABBA They was famous when triumph in Eurovision Song Contest in England 1974, in front of 16 other songs of all Europa, with their own song 'Waterloo' It's a begining of more than 20 worldwide hits in several countries of all continents, included Waterloo S.O.S. LOL!! You are just hilarious!! Love it love it love it... and I just looooove ABBA!! My first album ever was an ABBA album I got as a present from my aunt when I was 7 years old, back in 1977 :D Loved them ever since!!!
Thanks for the ABBA. They were two couples. Agnetha (blond) & Bjorn (playing guitar) and Benny(piano) & Anni-Frid (redhead). They were Swedish and huge in the 70's and still selling like crazy. Happy pop songs in the beginning. Then as the couples started having troubles many songs got more serious. Agentha and Bjorn had two kids and had just divorced. He wrote these lyrics and asked Agnetha to sing them. Many think this is their best. If your not familiar with them you really should be. Maybe react to "Ring" or"SOS" two earlier ABBA songs. But theres ton's of others. Good luck with the channel. Hope to see more ABBA.
Honestly, I’ve watched this so many times since you made it because you crack me up (in a good way!). You remind me of myself when I first discovered Agnetha at about 12yrs old. She’s a remarkable woman. To have this incredible voice, to have made songs that people still listen to 45yrs later, but also to be probably one of the most beautiful women ever. Absolute icon! I’d LOVE to see you do some more ABBA reactions, or even some Agnetha solos. Her most recent solo album was in 2013 (an album called ‘A’) that’s got some brilliant tracks on it and a few songs with music videos if you wanted to see what she’s like now (yup, still a hottie 😂). Let me know if you want any suggestions.

You are always very funny, have intelligent remarks, respectful of all artist and always leave me waiting for the reaction !!!!! "She knew she was trying to reel me in" !!!! LOL
ABBA is a Swedish pop band founded in 1972 by Anni-Frid Lyngstad (brunette), Benny Andersson (piano), Björn Ulvaeus (guitar) and Agnetha Faltskog (blonde). The band name comes from the acronyms of the names of the band members. The team consisted of 2 marriages: Agnetha and Bjorn, Anni-Frid and Benny. Dissolved officially in 1982 following the breakup of both marriages making up the band. They are considered to be one of the most significant and top-grossing music bands in history (the second most popular band in the history of music after The Beatles), they have sold over 400 million albums all over the world. It was the largest band in the 1970s and at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. Out of exactly 100 songs officially released, as many as 44 made it to the top of the charts in some country in the world. As many as 9 of their songs took 1st place in the UK charts, 4 songs were in the top 10 of the US charts and unfortunately only one of them (Dancing Queen) made it to the top of this list. Their path to fame began in 1973, when they took part in the Eurovision Song Contest, where they presented the song "Ring Ring" which took 3rd place. A year later they tried their hand at the same competition again, this time with the song "Waterloo" with which they managed to win first place. That's when the whole world got to know the ABBA team. However, many people have argued that this is only a one-hit band. Until ... In 1975 they released 2 more hits: "SOS" and "Mamma Mia". It was so much a phonomen, because after the band was almost forgotten by the world of music, their hit "Mamma Mia", remained at the top of the Australian charts for over 5 weeks. Then the song was noticed by British audiences and things started to kick in. As time passed, they became more and more popular and released more issues one. In 1976 they released as many as 4 such songs: "Money, Money, Money", "Fernando", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and their hit of the three times titled "Dancing Queen". The song "Dancing Queen" is considered the best song of the band and the second most joyful song in the world (according to the official ranking), but for many fans the song "The Winner Takes It All" is number one. In the following years they released such hits as: "Take a Chance on Me", "The Name of the Game", "Thank You for the Music", "I Have a Dream", "Chiquitita", "Voulez-Vous", "Does Your Mother Know", "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)", "Lay All Your Love On Me", "Super Trouper", "The Winner Takes It All", and "One of Us". The song for which you recorded the reaction was written after Agnetha and Bjorn's 8-year-old marriage broke up in 1979 (they got married in 1971). The guitarist to be divorced got drunk one night and, drunk, wrote the entire lyrics of the song in just an hour. The song is so emotional because it is about the band members who just got divorced. The second couple divorced after just 3 years of marriage (they got married in 1978 and divorced in 1981). Also after Frida and Benny divorced, a song called "When All Is Said And Done" was written, but unfortunately it did not achieve the same success as the previously mentioned work. Their album "ABBA Gold - Greatest Hits", which is a compilation of 19 of their best songs (all listed above), released in 1992, is the longest-held top 100 albums in the UK (ranked for less than 1000 weeks, over 61 weeks he spent in the top 10, winning 5 times in first place). The album is also the second best selling album in the UK and the 23rd best selling album in the world. The band members performed on stage for the last time on December 11, 1982. After 4 years of separation, they made guest appearances on a TV show. From then on, they were not seen together until 2008, when the premiere of "Mamma Mia" took place (it is a musical based solely on ABBA's hits). At that time, you could see all four in one place, but unfortunately the members of the team hardly exchanged a word with each other. Eight years later, in 2016, the members of the group showed up together after 34 years of separation. All four of them honored with their presence the people who came to the opening of the restaurant "Mamma Mia: the party", they stepped out on the small landing, hugged each other, exchanged a few words and waved to their fans. After 34 years, ABBA together again ... Back then they claimed that they absolutely did not intend to come back and play as a band, but less than 2 years later ABBA announced its reactivation!!! We are currently waiting for 5 new songs!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry to write so much, but I love talking about my beloved band that changed my life and I love sharing my joy with others. I hope to infect you with my love for this band and I hope to see more than one movie in which you react to the songs of this band. By introducing you to the (very brief) history of the band, I just wanted to encourage you to see at least a few more of their songs. Let me just emphasize that this is not only a pop band. It's safe to say that they also made a lot of songs in the style of "Rock'n'Roll" and even in the style of typical Rock. There are so many great songs in their work that I am sure you will love more than one and that you will fall in love with this band as much as I do. Love ya and hope to see you in the future 🥰🥰🥰
@@emilyfeechi As I mentioned, this is a very, short history of the band, but if I wanted to present you the whole story, I would probably write the whole essay 😂😅 I really liked your first reaction to this band and I would love to encourage you to record more videos in which you react for ABBA's songs. If I can, I'd like to suggest that the next song you react to should be "Dancing Queen". As I also mentioned before, this is their best rating and most famous song, so it definitely means something. Go look at People Need Love. She looks so fresh and beautiful. Not to mention she;s a Swedish beauty and was for along time people loved her but for along time.
Dancing Queen. Both women look gorgeous. Do the official video. It is their biggest hit amongst a whole boatload of hits. If you get into the ABBA thing you will be there until next fall because they have so many great songs. Agnetha ( pro agnayta) is the blonde. Anni - Frid( she goes by Anna) is the redhead. Benny is the bearded one playing keyboards. He writes the music. Bjorn( pro beeyorn) is the smaller guy playing guitar. He writes the lyrics. The group name ABBA are the letters that start each member’s name. Agnetha was married to Bjorn from 71-80. Anni-Frid was married to Benny for about 6 years or so. Both couples divorced while the group was together. They broke up in 1982 finally. They are musical geniuses and considered to be one of the greatest pop bands of all time. The fact that you are reacting to their music 39 years after their breakup is testament to their greatness and timeless quality of their music. By the way, they went into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
I agree with both in my Top 5 with S.O.S The winner takes it all Hole in your soul and tomorrow is 47th anniversary to ABBA's triumph in Eurovision with "Waterloo"
Remember English isn't her first language it's Swedish nd she's one of the best singers ever. ABBA are the second biggest group of all time. Their musical Mamma Mia as grossed many billions of dollars worldwide.
Believe it or not Agnetha was the shy one. When ABBA became a world wide phenomenon, they all became $millionaires and constantly in the spot light, with no privacy. When they weren't on tour, she would literally hide, and went into seclusion for a while after they split up. The men, Benny and Bjorn went on to write songs for other artists as well as BROADWAY. MAMA MIA became a BROADWAY musical and movie based on ABBA songs. Check it out.
ABBA IS HOT. AND NOW HOTTER THAN EVER. 5 NEW ABBA SONGS WILL ARRIVE LATER THIS YEAR. BJØRN CONFIRMED IT IN APRIL. ABBA AN ETERNAL FLAME IN MUSIC.OVER 400 MILLION RECORDS SOLD🤩🤩🤩🤩
She had the facial expressions down to a point. You would know what she's feeling even without the music on :) I believe that's what captures me most about this video from ABBA like your reactions so far, great choice of tracks :)
Here's Your ABBA Crash Course in pronouncing their most difficult Swedish names: Agnetha and Björn. Agnetha, the Blond, sings using her Tongue = "Tongnetha" = Angnetha = Agnetha. OK? Björn, with the Guitar, Earns money = BjEarns = Björn. OK? Benny and Anni-Frid are easier to pronounce I think ABBA is pronounced with the Stress on the last "A". Like this: abbA´. OK? Good Luck! Yes, I'm Swedish - and I saw ABBA live 1975, just as their Rocket Career Took Off - and that Rocket will Never Ever Crash Land.
Not true. He wrote it as a professional, the same way as "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "S.O.S." and later "One of Us", and "When all is said and Done", was done. All songs about love that has ended. But yes, he did write it when they had divorced. He has said it many times - not about their break up. Because there was no winner og loser
A while ago, they had a 1G$ offer for a one and only tour and they turned their back to it. They were couples and splitted up beginning 80's and couldn't stand them all together.
women were much more beautiful and attractive before the 2000s, due to this last and 4th wave of feminism which made women believe that femininity is wrong and the expression of what these ideologically possessed feminists call ' patriarchy ', which does not exist in the West and we know it if we have traveled to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America, and women then became masculine like terminators, they even stopped wearing dresses, shaving legs and underarms, wearing attractive perfumes etc... i was a young adult in the '80 and it was great. and music was amazing ans creative af.
Sorry if this sounds disrespectful and sexist - I really adore ABBA!!! But I remember back then it was also said that Agnetha had the hottest butt in the business.
Makeup yes as a man generally speaking modern make up fashion isn't good I men like professional models like on the commercial imagines on a video or on TV except news most of those last look good make up wise it , seem like such a waste of effort and money when your mother or grandmother had make up and looks better. Funny I remember once on a vacation the airline lost my mother's baggage she refused to leave the room until a few day later , I cant go outside without my face ( her words) these days she doesn't care unless it's a party or a wedding .
Good job !!! i think Agnetha is the prettiest women to ever exist

OMG - that's amazing. I would have been speechless. Both Agnetha and Frida are so down to earth, and have the voices of Swedish Angels.
That Abba was another level of love song
Agnetha often gets overlooked when peeps talk bout great female vocalists, but her voice is amazing! ♥

Always a delight to see young people discover ABBA. This track was released when I was about 5 and hit me straight away. Phenomenal.
When her ex husband (on guitar) wrote this text and gave to her in the studio, she started to cry.

Take my word for it ....Agnetha WAS a hottie alright !
As well as being a superb singer in a fantastic group.
Ur awesome... Pls react to more abba songs!!!
ABBA is the first letter of each of their names........Agnetha, Bjorn, Bennie and Annie...........Swedish
She had the facial expressions down to a point. You would know what she's feeling even without the music on :) I believe that's what captures me most about this video from ABBA
like your reactions so far, great choice of tracks :)
best breakup song ever
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw acdc so I clicked
🤣
Yes she was and she had two kids already. Agatha the one of the as in abba , the other lady was Anna fried or frida and benny and bjorn swedish names.
Since you enjoy ABBA so much, you should check out Anna-Frid's first solo hit from 1982 just after ABBA broke up: "I Know There's Something Going On".
I think she's a bit more obsessed with Agnetha.
You should react to ABBAs song Hole in your soul!
They started in 1974.
OK?
Benny and Anni-Frid are easier to pronounce I think
ABBA is pronounced with the Stress on the last "A". Like this: abbA´. OK? Good Luck!
Yes, I'm Swedish - and I saw ABBA live 1975, just as their Rocket Career Took Off - and that Rocket will Never Ever Crash Land.
This is a song about Agneth's divorce from Björn
Björn (the guy with a guitar) wrote this song because of their divorce :( I always tought their divorce was a mistake:(
Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid (Frida)
Yea I grew up then. No tattoos either. Wish it still was the early 70s again . ,
A while ago, they had a 1G$ offer for a one and only tour and they turned their back to it. They were couples and splitted up beginning 80's and couldn't stand them all together.
And still they gonna make a reunion this year 😀 they have 5 new songs and they have planned 1 album..tour?probably not
women were much more beautiful and attractive before the 2000s, due to this last and 4th wave of feminism which made women believe that femininity is wrong and the expression of what these ideologically possessed feminists call ' patriarchy ', which does not exist in the West and we know it if we have traveled to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America, and women then became masculine like terminators, they even stopped wearing dresses, shaving legs and underarms, wearing attractive perfumes etc... i was a young adult in the '80 and it was great. and music was amazing ans creative af.
Sorry if this sounds disrespectful and sexist - I really adore ABBA!!!
But I remember back then it was also said that Agnetha had the hottest butt in the business.
omg - if the hair is more important than the music...🙈
Come on girl.Women in the 70s and 80s no more about make up and hair styles than women today.Fashion was a big deal back in the day.
She's a old enough to be your grandma 😄 🤣 😂
In this case It doesn't matter if she is 90
And I suspect she can still sing better than you ever could, right? I don't see the need for an ageist comment here?
Watch the vevo
Want to react to pure diamond females? Lauryn Hill, TLC,
1980... Girls knew their makeup in the 1920s too, or 1820s, actually even before Jesus Kristus was born :D
she is not showing out she is the nordics
"She's a hottie!" Is that all you get from this song?
Typical Swedish beauties.
oh she nice looking- i nvr saw that hahahahahahaha. her lips r dry n afecting her singing, its hot undr v lightes.
You got it wrong with the lip licking! She was/is known as a shy woman & certainly not intend the lip licking as a come on!
SHE'S A HOTTIE?! Did a little deeper man.
I saw Lady Gaga sang this song. Hell no where near this.🙄
Girl! You don't get it at all. Your comments are out of place.
What do you mean? Did I misinterpret the song wrong?
@@emilyfeechi kinda did and the pause when she licked her lips was pathetic, she was singing and her lips were dry simple as that.
@@helenpeterson Shut up Helen! you don't even make sense!
Hater!
bum b. leave her alone
