The best video tutorial without the the fluff in how to fix why dryer is not heating. I was dreading the dryer disassembly to get to the heater coil, then I found your video and greatly appreciated the "hack" to remove the heater coil from the front vs disassembly!!! Thank you!
Thank you veru much for this viseo. I have a similar duet dryer that stopped heating two days ago. I was going to replace since it was 17 years old then I found your video. I was actually able to replace the element without removing the housing. I was able to undo all the bolt/screws using mini 1/4 ratchets. Putting it back together took a while since you have to line up everything to make sure nothing is stripped. Its back up and running. Waiting for a load go get done.
Thank you!! Your video was exactly what I was looking for as the other videos were scary in terms of complexity! I followed your instructions and was able to replace the heating element within 2 days ! Saving at least $350 if not more!!
Hey! I just want to say,THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! I just fixed my dryer all by myself with your AMAZING HELP!! 🌻🦋☀️🌸 You are AWESOME 😎!!!! I will be sure to tell everyone I know how helpful your video was!!!🎉☀️🦋🌻
Success! Amazing. Thanks SO much--VERY clear, thorough and so much easier than removing the drum etc (Had to do that a few years back to replace the belt, don't care to do it again!)🤠
This video was perfect. Made the fix easy and saved me a ton of time. I didn’t bother putting the retaining clip back either as it seems unnecessary. Thank you sir.
Instead of unscrewing plate with wires he disconnected all wires and now after putting them back together its blowing hot air in reverse any suggestions please
@@amybaker-g3n yes this is typical for the first couple of times using it, if it persists after that i would double check that element is not touching part of the housing
I have replaced mine, several times over the years. I never pulled the entire heat assembly out. I just reach inside and remove the 4 housing screws, with a rachet wrench and nut driver. Its a bitch, but works too. The top and bottom become loose enough to remove and install the heating element.

It would be nice if you show how to test the upper & lower limit to know if they are bad.
to know if what is bad? this video was showing how to check if your heating element is broken and has lost continuity
Is it normal to have a slight burning smell and bright red coils when first starting the dryer again?
