Tony, really like your video instructions. Looks so easy, but using the same 1204USB, I didnt make it yet to make proper use of USB. But the video is simply great ;-)
Tony, Thank you so much for being clear about your karaoke setup. I have been wanting to set up my own Karaoke for such a long time and I now know how. Thank you.
Thanks again stealing your inout setup so I can mix the karaoke into the output. found you're videos oretty handy so thanks. Picked up the same mixsr used for £94 delivered and pretty happy with it.
Hi Tony. Your a video is exactly what is needed... We are already talked, but other your videos... I want to make a same or similar setup like you in this video. I can buy(it's available) Behringer QX1002USB or Allen and Heath Zed 6FX at very similar price. Because i want to recording, can i record my voice together with effects on QX1002USB over USB an audio interface of mixer to PC? Can i use more effects on this Behringer mixer at same time or only 1 of 99 effects is available? Some ppl are complain about a background noise while recording, i don't know... What do you think about an Allen and Heath Zed 6FX? I know it's a better quality than this a Behringer, but this Zed mixer lacking of USB(audio interface). Are you familiar with this mixer of that, he can to use 2 effects at same time? I am not sure... Because a this mixer, no USB support, can i connect him via XLR(main out of mixer) to 3.5mm jack cable to pc(microphone or line in) for recording? Will it works, for a while before i buy some an audio interface? By the way, will it works with separate an audio interface over cable XLR(main out of mixer) to 6.35mm jack to an audio interface? I also having an audio receiver (amplifier). So, a this Zed mixer can be connected over XLR to RCA cable? What you recommend to me, Behringer QX1002USB or Allen and Heath Zed 6FX? Thank you.
I'll try to answer best I can. For recording the Behringer USB will be easy since it has an integrated interface. As far as the FX, you can only use one onboard sound FX at a time. The Zed can be connected to an external interface for recording. You can connect the XLR out to a home amplifier via the RCA conections.
@@TonyHobbut why does MY Mic Record with a delay in time, out of real time Sync The instrumental plays in real time, the vocal there is like a 1/2 Second delay, please help me
That was not using your words "POOR SINGING" We are both doing the same thing, just for fun. I have been trying to hook up my Behringer Xenyx X1204USB so that the mixer will record.Thank you for the help, keep on singing.
I have Amplitube 5 installed on the PC as well as use the pc to play YT music on the browser.. The guitar plays through the board and through the Amplitube 5 program. I need the guitar to play through the mains as well as the Browser music (but no effect from the Amplitube 5 on the music). I have not been able to get them both to play through the mains simultaniously yet. I probably should run my phone through the aux rca for the YT music and only have the mixer/amplitube 5 on the board out through mains. If I want to record the music and the mix on a DA , how would I set that up? The big issue is I cant have any effects from the Aplitube 5 on the music, nor its recording.. Yep, its complicated. I do thank you much as this is the first time I actually understand what those buttons around the headphone volume do.
Thanks, I do exactly the same, I see you use effect number 2, I have been using number 1, which is a bit too much echo, I will give number 2 a try. I use a free karaoke program called OpenKJ for my music, and two screens on my computer. I mainly just use headphones.
If you put some effect on mic channel, can you hear that through the headphones? I can’t get it work. I can hear the effect when sound is coming out from the main out (from my speakers) but not through the headphones, it’s only the ”plain” sound without the effect
Am I able to use the X1204USB for FL Studio? I've been trying for hours and it picks it up on the mixer but it won't record on my iMac. I tried Audacity also and it's doing the same thing. Do you need a receiver to record? I make beats on FL Studio and want to record music.
Hi Tony, thanks for this wonderful video. I am trying to setup a similar setup at home and facing some issues i will explain below. could you please guide me... I have a PIONEER VSX 824 K receiver, a POLK Audio 5.1 RM6750 sound system, a Roku stick for youtube karaoke and a USBMIX4 mixer. What i am trying to achieve is to connect the output of the roku video to the mixer and the mic to the mixer and will take the output to the receiver. what should be the ideal connection go get it work.
You need to connect your TV sound out into one of the mixer channels and the mic to another mixer channel . The mixer out will be connected to the receiver.
Can you help me, I have the same mixer and I have a receiver.. sound does not mix with digital signal.. I assume I need a converter to mix my microphones and digital sound to mix together?
Not for mixing. You need to connect a separate output (through the headphone jack) into one of the mixer’s channels. You can play back and listen through the usb though with certain programs. Audacity for example can be set to play back through the usb but you cannot record at the same time.
Wow thank you for sharing this sir.I am planing to buy the ,,Behringer Xenyx“ the smallest one..Because i do live youtube live stream karaoke every saturday just for fun🎤 Would you think it will improve the sound output..what im using right now is a f8 sound card and sound output doesnt good. Have a nice day sir. ISub your channel👍
I have not tried the f8 so I can’t compare, but the Xenyx sounds very clean and clear. The microphone is also very important and can make a big difference.
@@TonyHob thank you for the answer. F8 is a sound card it has effects like clapping, laughing etc. By the way I have a condenser microphone.. Thanks again👍🏼
Thanks for the video. Do you need the usb interface? What is the maf giving you in your setup? Are you applying the echo/reverb via the mixer? Does that only effect the master outputs or can you apply that effect at different levels across the different inputs?
You need the USB interface (analog to digital) only if you want to record. The effects are via mixer and the levels can be adjusted to each channel individually. For more details on the mixer’s features check the user manual available on Behringer’s site.
@@TonyHobthanks. I have one on the way so I will check it out. I was looking at the manual also but it wasn't 100% clear to me without being able to try my understanding on the unit.
Hi, Could I have link to download software to connect my Xenyx X1204USB to my computer please. I tried few times through the google. But I was unable to do that.
I've never downloaded any software for it to my computer but you can try behringer.com/downloads. The only software I have is Audiology, free software.
I have the Behringer XENYX X1204USB Mixer Small Format 12 Input w/ Multi-FX Audio Interface. My mics working fine using the mixer to my speakers, watching normal tv via the mixer is fine too, BUT NOT watching netflix movies on my tv with the mixer. Could you let me know why my speaker is making this HISS sound when using my mixer to watch netflix movies on my smart tv please.
I really wish I did. Never learned how to play an instrument. I did sing in a garage band we had in high school and college. That's where I learned to play around with the sound system.

If i am attaching in my tv, how to move the input from tv to mixer
Roku goes to TV. You have to check your TV manual, they are all different. If your TV does not have multiple HDMI ports you can’t do it.

Do I order male or female XLR cable?
Depends what you are connecting. If it’s for the microphone then a microphone cable with one male and one female

Is there any pitch controler with this kind of mixer?
