This is the best video I could find on the Klark Teknik's 24-bit Multi-FX processor on the Behringer units. I almost sold my Behringer mixer solely coz I never could get the effects the way I quite want them. Couldn't appreciate your effort enough on this. Keep up the good work! 👏
@@toddthomas4761 Sorry, didn't get notified on your reply. It was great! Much more flexibility to mix. I had to sell it though as I never really had time to use it anymore. Been using the Behringer XR18 for over 3 years now and has been my go to mixer for everything. Once you unleash digital mixing you can't really go back 😅
I have been watching a number om videos for m Xenyx mixer here on RUclips. You are far the best "teacher". Clear and wise. Thank you for this video. I now know my mixer beone basics. THANKS! Allso the double screen is super'
Thank u very much for this. U need to show us some tutorial on some of the digital mixers. Most people are now using digital mixers and I saw several tutorial on some of them but the people who are doing them can't explain as much as u U need to do some on Soundcraft , Wheatston, Allan Heath , Yahama and Beringher. Looking forward.
Thanks for the comment. It's really tempting for me to do a digital series on Soundcraft, A&H, Yamaha, and Behringer. But for now, I'm really focused on equipment under $500. It's worth noting that I sold my personal A&H and Yamaha digital consoles in 2001, so I'd have to try and beg/borrow/steal from friends. None of the Canadian distributors like me enough to give me loaner gear. Keep asking though, eventually I'll cave.
The specific model you mentioned q1204 Usb does not have a special effects engine Period There is a version of that that does but not the q12v4 USB and the link that you have the current price is to the one without the effects engine.
I love your explanation, just what I needed. I have a question: If u could help me out please 🙏. I have the same mixer, but I can't see any Reverb A, B, or C, etc.when I try to change the FX.
Hi, great video, thank you! I'd be great if you could explain how to use the FX output and FX return inputs to be used with an external effect. In my understanding the same knobs for SENDS and RETURNS control the internal built-in effects as well as the FX auxiliary output and input "holes". How is then possible to plug in an external effect without mixing in the built-in effects? Can the built-in effects be turned off somehow?
Hi, I found the answer to my own question. When you plug in jack cables in the FX return input holes, the internal built-in effect processor is turned off. So an external effect is not mixed with the built-in effects. Hope it helps someone.
Suppose you wish to use the mixer for voice and guitar. I gather you are forced to use the same effect for both channels (you can only change amount of FX for each channel with the send knob). Am I wrong? If I am right., can you suggest any mixer that would allow you to choose two different FX for 2 channels? Thanks in advance
I have been using Behringer Xenyx 1204usb for about 2 years and I knew that it had these effects, but I never knew how to use it. good material! . Do you know how many pairs of studio monitors I can connect to this Behringer mixer?
Can anyone help me, If I buy a mixer with a audio interface will I stop hearing the instrumental in my vocal recordings, because I have a USB MIXER right now and it doesn't have a audio interface built-in, but I hear the instrumental in my vocal recordings every time I record
Thank you Thank you.. I have the Behringer Xenyx X1204 USB Mixer I've been looking for this type of video to work on my FX for live performances for Karaoke as well as Piano and singer :) 15- 16 are my choices :)
I have an issue with my unit (I think). It seems like I'm stuck on effect #16. The program wheel moves between 1-16, but doesn't seem to "click" and select any, so it just changes back to 16 after a few seconds. Have you witnessed this issue?
does this item support multitrack usb recording? if not can you recommend an item like this that can support multitrack usb recording to a daw? greatly appreciated!
Mute the channel your microphone is using, then only the effects will be sent to the main mix. Sounds mad I know, as you would expect it to turn the microphone off, but it works like 2 separate channels. I found out the hard way when during karaoke I didn't deselect the fx send from the main mix, even though I had muted the microphone channel, the fx and my comments were still being sent to the mix and out to the speakers. Hopefully that should work, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong 😂
@@catz8761 I think that depends on whether the FX sends are PRE volume fader or POST volume fader (some mixers have the words PRE or POST written next to the FX and AUX send controls). I would guess your mixer has pre fader FX sends, allowing you to kill the volume completely, whilst still sending the signal to the effects unit. Or maybe I'm talking utter rubbish... 🤔
@mandolinic yes quite correct. I've moved over to Yamaha mixers now as they are a little more robust for mobile work but, The FX on the yamaha (I've got MG16XU and the MG10XUF) are easier to use, but I'm missing some of the functions on the Behringer

How do you like that Behringer now? I was thinking about grabbing one...

I unsubscribed from other channels once I watched your channel. Love the 1204USB mixer. I now have two.
Unfortunately the build quality is very bad, the plastic on the sides dissolves after a few years and gets sticky af.
I've been considering this mixer for awhile now! Thanks for your videos! I'm sold on getting this one! Very informative material! Thanks!
Simplemente buenísimo el vídeo muchísimas gracias
Great demo... thanks for posting. So few people can do this properly. Nice sound quality as well.
This is the best video ever where i had been searching this audio effect releated
Cheers Mate, that was really useful.
This is useful as I can’t get any reverb out of mine so I’ll try this thank you

Thanks for this great walkthrough! If I read between the lines correctly, you can’t assign different effects to different channels, right?
That's correct!

KAudio mixcer one of the best
Thanx mate!
Thank you! Is it possiblento set the delay to loop forever without decaying?
I have the x2222 and never knew how the effects really worked. Why isn't this explained in the user guide? Thanks.
It's in the user guide, but it's explained so poorly. Glad this helped.
what would be the best way of wiring X1204usb, DI4000, MDX4600, HA4700 ... thank you
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
Would this mixer be able to power the Rode Podmic without needing the likes of a cloudlifter?
Tq sir❤

Can you chain multiple effect on a single input? For example use both delay and reverb on the same channel?
Hi can I ask you to make a video behringer qx1204 usb how to set everything and mic effect please
Hi there, I will try film this tomorrow. It'll be about a week or so until it's out.

Thanks for the comment. Happy that this helped!
Is this the Behringer XENYX X 1204 USB model ? : ) In the title is "Q1204" not "X1204" , but it looks like the "X" ... ?
i do not get sound when connecting my phone to rca input. i pushed the red knobs.
Im still not able to get the effects to work, i bought a used board hopefully its not broke and im just not understanding something
What are each of the FXs normally used for?

pls advise how to record from mixer
does this item support multitrack usb recording? if not can you recommend an item like this that can support multitrack usb recording to a daw? greatly appreciated!
Can you asign a different effect to an individual channel. For examole, mic 1 reverb, mic 2 delay, etc
No, the same effect has to be used everywhere that you want effects.
HI! Can 2 FX be selected at the same time? like dynacord pm600? Thank you
Not on this mixer, no.
another video with behringer qx 2442 usb ,qx 1832 usb and qx 1222 usb
Is there a way to hear only effects signal without original on top? Like for example pitch shifted without the normal voice
