  • here's basically a cheap show and tell
    i'll rate the system an 8/10
    it's a wonderful mixer with very few non-important limitations, as stated in the video.
    this was mostly made for fun, and i am no professional.
    i play some bass and talk a bit too much and am still learning more i can do on this thing everyday.
    this mixer has made my own recordings sound better and made projects done with friends easier, it's something i am glad to have!
    personally this will be on my top five for gear i currently own.
    thanks for watching and i hope you enjoy

    This mixer is so underrated, it is an absolute workhorse for such a small unit. When I work as a two piece band I use this Mixer.

      The only issue I've had sofar is one of the out sockets got blown out, which was my fault anyway.

    To record separate tracks for each channel you would need a multitrack recorder. This you will only be able to record 1 stereo track or 2 mono. On some of the Behringer mixer that have direct outputs per channel so you could wire it up to record multiple tracks.

    dunno really. compared to a 'cerwin and vega' which is about 225 pounds, the behringer is a noise unit. if you very carefully turn your speakers up on any of these models you get a dirty hiss. loads of mixers have this but behringer are nutters for it. they put all their circuitry so close that the end (and sold to public) product is pretty insulting really. for the money and sound quality they boast they should really consider this. ive been using mixers of all brands since the 90s so i reckon i know my stuff by now. rant over.

    • @projectnoel
      @projectnoel  Год назад

      To be honest dude, I've never had a noise problem from my mixer.
      It could be possible, maybe if I had some studio monitors or something. I just use the USB cable unless I'm doing tape recordings.
      While I have no comparison at the moment as it's the only mixer I own it's helped provide the cleanest recordings I've done to date.
      The worst thing I've dealt with so far is that I accidentally blew out one of the audio out slots when I plugged my amp Into it which was my fault.
      I'm not saying you're wrong, I just haven't had any hiss issues yet.

    • @LarryMorales77
      @LarryMorales77 Год назад

      I have this same mixer and the hiss is hard to overcome. You can hear the hiss in this video actually. Achieving unity gain across all components helps but the hiss 😢
      Otherwise I like the flexibility of this mixer. It travels with me to all my DJ events.

    Question here please. How do you record 2 or 3 or 4 tracks at once. I set up my mic and my guitar in separate channels on the mixer ,then I press record on the software and each channel records both guitar and vocals

    • @projectnoel
      @projectnoel  2 года назад +2

      Unfortunately being USB it actually records into a single channel on the DAW.
      I'm not sure if it is due to being a digital mixer or just this model.
      I've basically just resorted to recording each part separately, that or if it's with a band everyone will have to be pretty sync for a tight mix.
      Just watch and set up the levels before recording.
      It works better as mixer for live events, but I've also found enjoyment when recording with tape.
      That being said I usually do solo recordings, and I find that easiest to do with it.

      @@projectnoel great thanks for the information and one last question, if I play a live show can can I stream the audio live trough this mixer

    • @SuAmigoElilegal
      @SuAmigoElilegal 2 года назад

      Yes that is correct I just prove it yesterday it only has a 2 way buss channel in and out signals . I just got confused by having a 12 channel mixer and having interface Intergrated. The interface will send out singa to pc software and I can record each instrument with different plugging and different eq settings but it will not record 2 or 3 or more instruments Individually and letting u mix each after it will record as one track all at once but good thing every channel will have been mixed to preferences. About playing live gigs that is something I dint know and I'm glad u told me. As I recorded yesterday a song , I thought about it because once u have all plugging and effects and right mixing you get such of great quality rather than just playing with out of ur mixer . Thank you for your time and it is def a must when playing live. 👍👍🤝

    • @projectnoel
      @projectnoel  3 года назад

      As far as sound quality goes, it's the best recording device I currently own.
      The booklet says it's 24 bit and the bandwidth can "go below 10hz and well above 200khz"
      The average sample rate for the mixer is 48Khz.

    can you apply different effects to different channels during a recording?

    • @projectnoel
      @projectnoel  3 года назад +1

      Sort of. It's more that you can use single effects on individual tracks which you can add or remove with the orange knobs without effecting the other channels.
      I hate to plug myself in this, but I can't thing of a better way to show it currently. This is a recording I did with my friend, we did a single take and no effects were added after.
      Everything was through the mixer.
      The bass part sticks out with the distinct changes as the song progresses.

    Your "16" channel mixer is actually a "12" channel mixer.

    • @projectnoel
      @projectnoel  4 года назад

      The box says sixteen. There's 8 mixing channels; the last 4 are doubled up, but there are 16 due to each channel having two 6.3mm slot per channel.
      I don't know if multiple instruments can be used in the same channel, I have yet to try this.
      The mixer also has 6 additional XLR slots also on the mixer, so technically there are 22 usable inputs for instruments and microphones; and that still isn't counting the basic 3.5 audio input and the dual In/out 2RCA slots.
      I am well aware of the way the mixer is numbered, it's strange, but I assure you all the inputs do work (individually)
      As I already stated I have yet to attempt a dual mix in a single channel.
      And there is still much more so me to look into about this mixer, though to date it has done everything I have needed from it.
