I am impressed with your video, I think that is simple and it's something I love to have as well. Great thanks for the presentation and I hope you can help us as beginners to get what is necessary.
That's a great video. I ordered Xenyx 502s and I already have few cables. The plan how I want to connect this to make a Karaoke is below: TV with Spotify (SPDIF Output) -> (SPDIF Input) Sound Extractor (RCA Output) -> (1/4 inch JACK Input) Xenyx 502s Wireless microphone station for 2 microphones (1/4 inch JACK output) -> (1/4 inch JACK Input for MIC line) Xenys 502s Xenyx 502s (1/4inch JACK output MAIN) -> (RCA Input Line 1) Yamaha R-N803D Amplifier. I'm already using that Sound extractor so I'm sure it's gotta work.
@@Bartchie-d5w Hello, could you link a picture or make a small video showing how you connected everything? I tried a setup using my laptop but there's an annoying beep sound that persists no matter how I set everything up. Would love to buy the things I need to get rid of that issue. Thank you very much.
This is simple and to the point. searched so many mixer set up studio and karaoke set up. no one shows entire end to end connection from output cables to input cables. everyone misses that. thanks for getting this out.can you make video how to stream your karaoke through zoom or facebook or any streaming rather than going out to speaker. so basically live streaming for your karaoke through mixer. you want to have laptop or phone your tube music to be played on streaming which you and other can hears . that is the requirement. no one has explained it in you tube.
Hi. Have followed your tips but cannot get any sound from the microphone? We are connecting an old hifi amplifier with multiple phone outlets to a Behringer xenyx 802 mixer, and trying to use a Kam cordless microphone connected via xlr to the mixer mic inputs. We can see clipping on the mixer but no audible sound. Anyone any ideas what we are doing wrong please. Music is fine. Many thanks Carol
This particular mixer does not have sound effects so you would need a separate sound processor for reverb. I show how to connect the sound processor in another video.
There's really nothing to check, it just works, and I sing awful! Maybe I'll do a video with everything hooked up (including the sound effects processor which makes a big difference on how the vocals come out) and sound check it. Not a bad idea.

DJ Javi In Action not sure what you mean. Are you trying to input the mixer to a laptop or sending tha laptop sound to the mixer? Feel free to ask in Spanish. Hablo español perfectamente
the Xenyx is passive (no built in amplifier for output) and so are the speakers I am using, (non-powered). If you use powered speakers (including powered computer speakers) then you can plug them directly into the Xenyx.
@@TonyHob oh i got it.... and one last question sir. For example i only have the xenyx.. then can i plug all 3 devices directly to it? SmartPhone, microphone and speaker (the powered one).. for karaoke..is it possible?
It's a little hard to see but it is written on the lower right hand of the amp: 20 Watts rms. Here is a review on a different channel: ruclips.net/video/7BQ2W9M4NUo/видео.html
@@-Taki-Taki depends on your speakers but I have used it with three way outdoor speakers on my deck and it woks well enough. Of course, a bigger amp and speakers would be better for outdoors.
Too many factors to consider, I have been satisfied with bookshelf speakers but it depends how loud you want it. This set up is best used inside but any set up could work outside. Depends what you are satisfied with. I would try what you have already and see if you need anything louder. Ideally you would need powered speakers on stands but that is beyond the scope of the purpose of this video
I also intend to use this for karaoke. I plan to play video content (MPEG-4) in my TV via USB (sound and lyrics), mixing the sound coming in to the mixer with the voice using the mics. Can I use a regular 5.1 DTS amp, the same I use for my theater system, provided I use the aux L/R input? Also, what kind of effects can you get on voice, echo? As per the sound coming from the TV, do you recommend the RCA female on one side and the jack for each channel (L/R) vs RCA/RCA on the right corner? I hope with this mixer I can have full control on music and voice power, separately, so one does not "erases" the other and integrate perfectly.
You can definitely use your receiver in that way. The mixer does not have built in voice effects though. You would have to get an external effects device (I show how to connect one in another video). For full sound control you have to connect the TV sound to a channel jack.
It depends how much processing control you want and how much you want to spend. I have another video with the Behringer mini-FX (FEX800) which costs about $70 but only has preset effects. You can still adjust the presets to some extent. For me it works well since I can just want some echo or reverb, it is small, light and portable. Another option with much more control will be the Behringer FX 2000 at about $130. There are also a lot of other ones out there but I like to use the same brand as the mixer if possible.
very informative, thank you! in which cases would you need an amplifier? what if I'm using a smart TV with Roku to play my RUclips Karaoke - would I still need an "input" RCA plug (like what you used to plug into your tablet)?
Depends on your TV. Some televisions have RCA out, others have 3.5 for headphones and others only digital output. You will need the proper cable to plug into one of the mixer channels. If digital, you will need a converter like I show in one of my other videos.
you mean for a mixer we can take any small amplifier and speakers for karaoke home use? please tell me because i went on a shop before 2 days and he suggest me 120 watt amplifier and 10 inch speakers for the stranger um 6 mixer...i wanna use for my personal karaoke entertainment as i like to sing..........thank you....and video is very good
You can definitely use a small amplifier/speaker setup. You can even hook your computer speakers to the headphone out on the mixer using an adapter and would not even need a separate amplifier.
Thank you very much for this video - Can I connect 2 microphones while playing karaoke mp4 from a phone or tablet as well? I guess yes but want to confirm pl. TIA

I always wonder how can i connect a mixer with 6.5 jack output to a speaker, thanks for the video man, i need amplifier
very simple instruction,. thank you so much
Where to control the reverb of microphone?
You would need a different mixer, one with reverb built in such as this one amzn.to/3MXkc3u

Thanks for the video.
Reverb and echo for a 2 mic input, that's all. Thanks anyways for sharing your knoww how. Appreciate it.

yes, just connect the mixer out directly into the soundbar's input connections.

Can i use this (behringer 802) and hook it up to harman kardon home amplifier and using chromecast as a player for the karaoke?
you can as long as you input the sound from the TV into the Xenyx and THEN play it through the sound system
thank you tony i was very interested in this thanks for sharing.....
is it dangerous connecting the laptop through the mixer and turnig on the phantom power?
angelo redolés It could damage your computer, you should connect it using the 1/4" connectors, not the xlr
Thanks for your recommend !!!
Great video brother 💯
Question, can I connect dual rca cables one to mixer & to the Amplifier?
You can do it by connecting the cd/tape RCA out to an amplifier with RCA input but it’s not ideal. You should use the 1/4” main out on the mixer
Very helpful, thx.
Great video.
Can you also use a XLR directly from your mixer & 35mm input to your labtop?
