Good information guys!!
Great Idea. All around with the regular scope and if needed a night thermal. The extended pickatiny rail a bit of a problem on regular rifles
There are some solutions out there for extended picatinny rails for bolt guns.

Hello, may I borrow your experience working in the industry about the possibility of using monocular as a clip on device ?
When I saw the title of this video I was very interested, because that is just what I wanted to know, but having watched nearly half of it without getting a hint of an answer, and eseing that I was not going to get a cleaer answer about anything from you guys, I gave up.
What questions do you have? Please feel free to call us anytime.
it did seem to be very short on info as to WHY
Good Video! Very informative. What kind of unit did he say costs $80.000 -$120.000? I would like to see which unit he was talking about that costs that kind of $'s.. Thanks!

Can you do a video on the armasight jockey clip on. Almost 1 year out and no footage
Thermals and PVS are neat devices. How is the care and maintenance for this?
We are hard on our gear at the home office. The Incendis are very low maintance can take a hit!
So.. how does that suppressor heating up effect the thermal?
What's the most compact 640 clip-on thermal? Any that can also be worn on a helmet mount?
Is that wrap on the silencer to protect u against its heat or to suppress the heat signature... both maybe?
You're right! It's for both!
Also reduces visible light signature in low-light from the can getting hot, and it prevents heat mirage screwing with your airm.
The barrel gets hot hot hot and will burn the crap out of you. If you actually plan to shoot 30 rounds fairly quickly and you forget and sling your rifle you’ll burn your thigh or whatever it touches.
Assuming clip on limits your magnification before the image becomes too pixilated, what is the maximum magnification you can take a typical 1x - 8x scope (before the image becomes pixilated)? And the difference between the 384 and 640? I assume the 640 dpi can go a little higher magnification? IE 25-384 = 2x, 35-384 = 3x, 50-640= 5x? Thanks in advance.
So what’s the model number?
Damn homie what clip on were you using that cost $120,000? A wescam ball on a helo doesn’t cost that much
Right. I call bs.
its so when you hear the cost of their $7K unit, it doesnt seem so rapey in comparison
How do you solve paralax with it
Do you build these without blue tooth?
What product is this.
I know you can change mounts, but I'm not keen on how it doesn't exactly co-witness with that LPVO... Otherwise kool !
You would be surprised how little that matters.
Interesting SUB! 😅 I might just pick one up from your shop thanks! Refurbished for 2k looks ok 👍 that will come with a warranty right? 😅
The referb Incendis has a 30 day warranty to safeguard against any potential defects missed in the referb process. At this time though, we don't have any available.
How does the iRay RH25 compare? If you can only afford one, for LEO duty use, thermal or NV? (Scenario, work in a rural area where people often run into the woods)
I’m a lineman for a small municipality and have come to know and talk to all the Leo in town. None of them have much thermal/nv experience but have come to me with questions and wanting to see the difference between nv or thermal. Most have said thermal is better for their uses and the exact scenario you described. It’s A LOT harder to run and hide from thermal. I use and hunt with both and in the field/outdoors thermal is the way to go. If I was kicking doors I’d want analog nv. If you’re mainly using it handheld there’s a lot cheaper units that’ll get the job done.
This isn’t answering your question comparing to the rh25, as I’m looking into both for my next thermal option.
Following
Ill give my opinion. Used thermal and NVGs professionally for over a decade in law enforcement and the Military. I used to teach thermal theory to both organizations in my day. I own both on the civilian side (14s and a BAE Skeeter)
One is not navigating under thermal to a location. This gives an advantage to NVGs for movement. Goggles also allow you better discrimination of color if you need to identify a target (it sucks but you have zero with thermal). PID is much easier to determine with NVGs at close range. But you have a more limited detection range and usability is dependent on ambient light.
One also has 4th amendment concerns if you are observing activity using thermal or gathering evidence that will be used in prosecution.
Thermal has advantages in detection ranges. It can also see give favorable indications used in investigations like was a car running recently, someone was just laying in this bed, yes this house is emitting heat so someone is home.
I would start with NVGs and graduate to thermal.
Now if it will be used situationally for law enforcement work either can provide additional capabilities.
I recommend that if ypu are an LEO that you certify through LEETA in the event you testify in court.
@@lawrencewegz4606 thank you
Both. I'd get a decent NV setup and then a super cheap budget thermal monocular ( can get them for under $500). Good enough to spot targets
What is the point of the q in the video?
With a regular thermal scope you have 1 optical magnification level and after that there's digital zoom which is only good up to a certain point. How does this work with a clip on thermal? Your scope will keep doing the magnification optically and I assume you will get a much better image when, say at 8x optical magnification, than you would with digital 8x zoom from a normal thermal scope? Is that correct?
You are correct. To quote what we said to another comment. "Think about it like you are looking at a tv screen through your traditional scope. The higher the resolution of the TV screen the more you can zoom in. That is why you can use a higher magnification on the 640 over the 384."
No, with my 30 minutes of youtube research, im almost positive this is INCORRECT.
Think about it; u are mounting the thermal in front of your normal LPVO or whatever. If u zoom in with the lpvo, u r just zooming in on the digital screen of the thermal that is right in front of it. It would be the same thing (or worse) as digitally zooming with the thermal.
Whoever responded to your question saying "you are correct" either did not understand your question, or is intentional trying to mislead u. I have a hunch on which one of those it is. My apologies to accufire if im wrong on this, but i dont think i am wrong.
@@bigtwinz3296 your 30 minutes of RUclips research would absolutely trump our hundreds of hours in the field. You can think about it as much as you would like, but we are positive that our previous answer is correct.
You guys sure about that? The question was if you would get a clearer sight picture by zooming in on a oled 1080 screen, versus using the thermal sight to digitally zoom in. Its pretty clear the guy asking the original question was wondering if his existing scope magnification would give real, true magnification like the optical lens on the front of the thermal sight will.
The correct answer is, only the optical lens on the front of the thermal will give him actual magnification. Zooming in on the screen or digitally zooming in is the same thing as zooming in on a picture u took with your phone. Sure, itll get bigger, but youre going to start to see the pixels in the picture pretty soon, depending on the resolution of camera lens. Maybe u guys should think about it a little more.
@@bigtwinz3296 we have had this question posed to us many times over the past three years and we have a pretty good understanding of what is being asked.
The question is would you get better clarity on the optical zoom over the digital zoom. The answer is Yes, depending on the resolution of thermal. That is why you can get a better zoom with the 640 over the 384.
The scope and thermal are not in line…. What height mount does the day scope needs to be centerline with the thermal?
shouldn't really matter that much when you zero but normally you'd want a 1.54 mount
$80 to $120k for the military version! LoL, that's exactly why we are constantly at war: To fund the military industrial complex. Peace cannot be permitted as there is way too much money in war. Well that is until our governments insolvency matters.
Will the Pro work well with higher magnification scopes...say 18x?
Like a damn dream.
We recommend that you do not go over 10x magnification on the actual screen on the Pro just for clarity's sake.
@@AccufireTechnology so you said both it works like a dream at 18x, and you don’t recommend it for beyond 10x? Maybe when you said it works like a dream you were getting a little ahead of yourself? Or, maybe it works well, but you got a cover your ass in terms of usability and optimal use?
I have a lot of experience with thermal clip on. Just buy a normal thermal either a larue mount and swap your scope out when it gets dark. Clip ons are inferior to normal thermal scopes and more expensive.
Do you have alot of experince with our clip-on?
@@AccufireTechnology I've only used armasite clip ons I own 2. What bothers me about Clip ons is they are not collated so you have to zero them on every rifle and scope. If they ever come up with a collated clip on then were talking

Do you have one with no WIFI? Thermal systems without WIFI or Bluetooth normally have better quality all around and have no signal pushed out.
Our 384 core Incendis does not have wifi but the 640 core Incendis Pro does!
@@AccufireTechnologyWill you be making a basic option with 640 and high refresh?

Should have more soon!
Question to all the pros out there: what is the best clip on on the market?
The Incedis Pro obviously!
Interesting but I’m a little confused on this. So I guess you would have to zoom your scope and thermal clip on to get a clear picture at different distances.
Think about it like you are looking at a tv screen through your traditional scope. The higher the resolution of the TV screen the more you can zoom in. That is why you can use a higher magnification on the 640 over the 384.
@@AccufireTechnology So with the clip-on thermal, you're zooming in on a screen. How does that get you on target?
👏
What country are the cores made in
These are currenlty made in the PRC.
Reliability
So thier not waterproof?
They are weatherproof. Basicly do not throw them in a bucket or a stream and you are good.
should make it fit a helmet to
These only work with small diameter scopes? What if I have a 50mm? 😅
it works fine with 50mm + objective lenses.
At night it's imperceptible
And it comes with a rubber eyecup that acts like a blinder so you don't get double image or light leaks around the clip-on should you use it in the day.
the mount height is more important and High Mount (1.535" above the rail) pairs best with the Incendis
@@AccufireTechnology I was going to call 📞 you up today because I had a few questions, I'm working on a "working man's super rifle" build for the channel...when would be a good time to call up there?
the guy on the right..is he with us .?😂
Ol' Uncle Fancy?? He is always with us, he just doesn't want you to think he is.
Saw the major thermal brands at the precision rifle expo - accufire was not there. A thermal clip-on makes a lot of sense, but a 384 core is too low res for higher magnification. On a 1-4 it can work well, but many people listen to videos like this and assume they can pop it in front of a 4-16 or 5-25 and use the full range of the scope.
Incindis looks interesting, but it kinda just looks like a cheap copy of the InfiRay MATE MAH50.
We are hoping to make more shows next year and will put that one on our list. You are spot on with this comment and the 384 is good to max magnification of 5-6x, but 4x is the ideal range. The 640 (Incendis Pro) is good to a 10x magnifcation and is the absolutle best set up for long range engagements.
It looks like you are in North Texas which is where we are. Come by and check out the gear when you can.
Thermal/night vision are not for long range shooting. High magnification(25X) is useless with them. Thats why you don't see very high mag
@@WillyK51 the Pro is absolutely made for long range shooting withing 1,000 yards. If you are looking for ELR shooting you would be correct.

What gun is this?
I have the Pulsar Krypton FXG50. The no zero thing is a lie. A clip on WILL adjust your point of impact. So you do have to take it out and “sight in/zero” the clip on. You do this by manipulating the screen placement in the settings. If you mount it to the scope, a good bump can and will shift the screen of the clip on and you will need to take it back out and shoot to adjust point of impact. Same thing if you take it off and put it back on. Massive change in point of impact. If you mount it to the handguard, any pressure on the handguard will change your point of impact. And you may not know it but just grabbing your handguard moves it. Clip ons have their place but I am paranoid about point of aim and point of impact.
All of this is true with most clip-ons. That is why we took a great deal of time developing a mount that will hold onto your rail with no movement and the best tollerances in the industry.
Your mount is irrelevant. It is the handguard that will move. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Daniel Defense or Geissele rail, it moves.
@@tannerking3096 if your handgaurd is moving you should check your screws. Your handguard shoould not move unless want it to move.
Let me amend my statement. They all flex. It’s literally micro millimeters but will affect point of impact of anything mounted to the rail. And micro millimeter can be inches at a distance. Anything mounted to the rail shouldn’t be trusted beyond a laser at cqb distances.

Thermal clip ons are a PITA , just use another rifle and fit it with a dedicated thermal scope
You might have been using the wrong clip-on, because ours is a easy as Sunday morning.
I've used both the Pulsar Krypton and the HIK Thunder (AGM Rattler in the US) and neither held zero when removed and refitted and the usable scope magnification was limited to a range of x3-x8 so that at x3 the display icons can still be seen and at x8 the display is not excessively pixellated.
In Europe they are only sold to get around the laws in some countries which allow thermal observation devices (i,e. no reticle) but do not allow thermal targetting devices (i.e they have a reticle). I live in the UK and we can have thermal targetting devices, so only the dummies use clip ons, the rest of use use dedicated thermal scopes
@@brucemcpherson8832 Reach out to DCID in the UK to take a look at our new Incendis Pro. It will change your opinion of clip-ons.
Well, I've just looked at your website trying to find out more about the Incendis Pro. Unless you're hiding the technical spec, all I found out is that it's a 640 core. No information on pixel size, NETD, lens focal length, display type and pixel count.
Maybe potential buyers in the US don't feel the need for that sort of information, but trying to sell the Incendis in Europe without providing much more technical information won't go well.
Also, in the UK (and most of Europe) virtually no-one hunts with an AR style rifle or any rifle with an extended picatinny rail that would allow rapid attachment and removal of a clip on like the Incendis. Here, clip ons attach directly to the objective bell of a dayscope. The photoraphs of the incendis pro only show it attaching to a picatinny rail

@@redrustyhill2he said the videos 6 mins too long… if you listen to it at x2 then you save 6 mins.
