I don't know if he could do it and direct an animation series at the same time, but I think he knows more about star wars than any other director except George.
@@abanana5779 Yeah, but tbh I can't stand this teasing. Some sort of return of Old Republic was hinted at for years and we still have nothing besides few easter eggs here and there.
Star Wars Rebels are always killing it with their trailers, man I'm so excited that we are getting Grand Admiral Thrawn finally into Star Wars canon. The Thrawn book by Timothy Zahn is going to be fantastic too I can't wait to pick that up when it comes out.
Looove the moment you found out about Thrawn! If you've checked the news, there will be a nice surprise for you about a certain writer coming out with a certain novel!!!! Yeaaaaa!!!
Thanks I had no idea who Thrawn is or his role, knowing the books are being used is good because George Lucas mentioned they were instrumental in continuing the saga. Now Disney is using works in making them part of the full saga.
I remember hearing about the Bendu in the book How Star Wars Conquered the Universe, I believe. Really cool that they're using these old concepts and finding a place for them in canon.
The woman who says, "Your anger gives you strength," sounds A LOT like Asaj Ventress! And the scenes where it shows the green mist and possessing Kanan, that looks like Night Sister magic! What are your thoughts Adam? Do you think the Night Sister lore will be a part of the rebels universe?
It is the same voice actress as Ventress but it isn't Ventress. She is long dead by this point and the Holocron is thousands of years old. Most likely Maul is attempting to resurrect Mother Talzin again like he tried in the comics.
Ever since I've been watching Superhero News, one of Adam's favourite line is 'tingles jingles' and he often says this when he's super-excited about something or it means a lot to him...it's become a catch-phrase of sorts.
Finally someone has the important reaction first...."Is that...is it...." #ThrawnLives That is all I needed to know. Well, that, and his backstory is being written by Timothy Zahn. I owe Tim hugs, chocolate, and possibly a kick in the shin for having the best poker face in history at Origins.
Apparently, Zahn's Thrawn novel in the spring will be about what happens before he's on Rebels, so it will talk about his beginnings/origin. Probably stuff that Zahn already wrote about haha. I'm so glad that he's writing a novel only about Thrawn and that he saw what they were doing with him on Rebels and he approved ^_^
Adam - I was speechless also and found myself staring at you with my mouth open thinking WHAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!? I too love this show, and I love how the television and cinematic universes are starting to slowly fit into a grand plan...I heard this is the last season for Rebels. They were slated for three seasons, and I believe they are sticking with that. If season 3 promises to live up to this trailer's hype - oh Jesus! Can they do a fourth season???? Please confirm if you heard about only three seasons or am I delightfully wrong! Thanks for the video! This is really fun and great for us fans!
Seeing Thrawn is great, but I was more excited by the big creature that called himself a Bendu. They were one of the original species that was brought to Tython around 36,000 BBY and was part of original Jedi Order called the Je'daii Order. The Je'daii order was not just light or dark side, they were a balance of both. It was said when the order broke into to different factions, the Bendu left, but kept the balance of the force, so both light and dark. The Jedi continued to use the emblem that the Bendu monks brought to the order when the order was originally founded. I was more excited about that revelation than Thrawn because they are bringing the origins or the Jedi and Je'daii order into canon. Yall should read those stories, they are really good.
I'm not good with star war timelines but did they arrive before or after The Great Hyperspace war? I'm pretty sure it wasn't during the war but I might be wrong
Slight theory of mine here, but did anyone else notice an almost violet glow when the red Sith holocron, and blue Jedi one tried to merge? What if Ezra's going to get a purple lightsaber and train in Vaapad?
IMO, Zahn's books were the best of the EU, and I loved how Rebels incorporated the gravity well ships he created, too. Amidst all of this, Thrawn's reveal is almost anticlimactic in this incredible trailer. I've been a huge Rebels fan from Day 1, and that only looks to increase from here on!
I'll take a educated guess but the green pool in the clip probably from Star Wars thr clone wars where Ventress visited that planet with the Wiches of Vladimir or whatever that crap was called because I forgot. But that pool was also used by the witches to resurrect or rejuvenate or something like that for Mauls brother. Probably but unlikely Kanan found that pool and some force influence him to go inside and maybe he got his vision back. But I probably got the naming wrong so you might wanna Google the info down
To clean up what Eobard said, most likely Kanan is possessed by Mother Talzin, the leader of the Witches of Dathomir. Maul attempted to resurrect her once before in which she inhabited Dooku but Palpatine stopped it and Maul limped away from the encounter. Read the comic Son of Dathomir.
I am thinking that having Thrawn come in only increases the chances for the future inclusion of characters like Mara Jade and Darth Revan because it shows that the people at Lucasfilm are listening to the fans. Thrawn is probably one of the most beloved EU characters, but Mara Jade and and Revan are, as well and Lucasfilm knows that.
Where can i stream Star Wars Rebels? And how many eps each season? Also, i know nothing about Star Wars universe, except watching the film from episode 4. So can i deal with it?
Yes. Unfortunately Star Wars: Rebels isn't on Netflix there is a problem with making an agreement. It's complicated, but Star Wars: Rebels Season 1 and 2 are on iTunes, they will also most likely re-air the past seasons for fillers again on Disney channel.
+Alief DN I would personally watch all the films first, then start with star wars the clone wars animated series, then after that I'd watch rebels, so you know what is happening
The last movie review you guys did was X-Men Apocalypse. What to the hell?! Where are your reviews for Independence Day 2, Ghostbusters, Star Trek, etc. ?
You know, it's funny. All I've heard about since the trailer was shown at Celebration is how "everyone loved Thrawn". No, no they didn't. I remember a lot of fans not liking him. It frustrated me because I was a huge fan of the Thrawn Trilogy. Part of the problem is how Zahn wrote the books. Thrawn is almost always shown from Pellaeon's POV. Pellaeon views him in such high regard that Thrawn looks like a Gary Stu type. This is exasperated by the fact so many Imperials in the Bantam era books are basically comically incompetent Saturday Morning Cartoon-esque villains.
I don't watch rebels on a regular basis but I saw some of the s2 finale which was awesome but is Vader still going to play a large role in S3? Heard a lot about Thrawn from the collider crew so I might catch up on the show to see him in action.
I also want to see the character of the Bendu. They go back to the begginning of the force and we're in the early drafts of "Star Wars". Plus the amazing Tom Baker is voicing the character. Just ask Dave Filoni how excited he is to have Tom "THE DOCTOR Baker onboard.
Grand Admiral Thrawn was quite possibly the greatest strategist and naval tactician in Star Wars history. The man can predict his enemy's moves with frightening accuracy, from merely observing their art to gain astounding insight into their psychology. He is inventive and ruthless. He's wiped out entire races and practically rebuilt the Empire in Legends from a few squabbling warlords. Worse still, unlike Darth Vader, you can't just run from him if you are in a fight. When you fight Thrawn, it's almost always on his terms, and he's more than likely already lured you into a trap. And even if you think you've won a victory against him, you probably haven't. He thinks in the long run and plays mind games with people, so you never really know where you are against him. Bottom line, Thrawn may just outrank the Death Star as the most lethal weapon in the Empire's arsenal. The Rebels are gonna get hit hard, no question.
David Laurendeau they have done similar before though and misled us for an even bigger surprise. And sorry I know it's a common design but I still see it as his ship
Anyone else blazing through reactions just to see how people react to Thrawn?
Yep!
Yes!
Oh yeah
Yep
Guilty lol
Also it was announced that Timothy Zahn is writing the book for Thrawn.
GODS BE PRAISED!
I read that book about 7 times LOL
And Timothy Zahn is writing a new canon novel called "Thrawn!"
I can tell that you're excited.
Emmet B it's a good book
@@soaringsparrowswirlingsea7885 great trilogy
When Hera said "Grand Admiral Thrawn" for you I just laughed XD
adam looked like he died when he saw thrawn i think that trailer tingles some jingles for adam
it tingled all the jingles. at least who know about Thrawn. Those books were really good
Timothy Zahn has a new Thrawn book coming out in line with new canon too!
That's probably more exciting at least to me. The original books he wrote and the bane trilogy are among my favorite Sci fi books
+PhillyPhan34 Oh yeah I know.
This is why Dave Filoni needs to direct a Star Wars movie.
i think it would be too much for him. sry :(. He could do it, just that there are better directors out there. again sry :(
I don't know if he could do it and direct an animation series at the same time, but I think he knows more about star wars than any other director except George.
Write/Produce not direct but not till after rebels is over(I think he said 4 seasons max?)
just 4 seasons of Rebels?
BiggySn1p3r
yea because its already really close to ep4 timeline wise.
Zahn consulted Filoni and the Rebels on Thrawn and he's writing a novel too.
That moment when he realises it's not just a new villain XD
I love how seeing Thrawn broke Adam's brain xD
hahaha adam's body wasnt ready for this when Thrawn shows up .lmaooo
We got Thrawn back, now all we need next is Revan.
almost had him in clone wars
Now we got Revan with episode 9
Frank Teryngel oh boy do I have a movie for you
Revan is in the movies I'm so glad they have a few legends in the cannon

I remember when he rt pleated. I also liked how they didn't have to tell his story. The characters already knew who he was.
I really like how everyone is noticing the costuming changes in Sabine and Ezra but no one notices, or at least mentions, zeb's costume change
I remember hearing about the Bendu in the book How Star Wars Conquered the Universe, I believe. Really cool that they're using these old concepts and finding a place for them in canon.

Kanan reminds me of the Miraluka now.
2016: "Woah, Thrawn's coming!"
2020 The Mandalorian: "Hold my fucking beer, you stupid noobs."
Okay - is that the tingles jingles when Admiral Thrawn was revealed???? coz I got the same reaction :-)
The what now?
Ever since I've been watching Superhero News, one of Adam's favourite line is 'tingles jingles' and he often says this when he's super-excited about something or it means a lot to him...it's become a catch-phrase of sorts.
Thrawn is probably the best thing Disney has done for star wars (excluding the final clone wars season of course)

This season might be the one to compete with clone wars
Yep, Vader's appearance in the S2 premiere clinched it.
Not overused, yet his presence and weight is felt throughout the episode.
Having James Earl Jones himself do his voice was pretty awesome, too.

The great hyperspace war was over 31,000 years after the formation of the Je'daii Order's foundation.
So they arrived before right?
The lady from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was Colonel-Doctor Irina Spalko.
I haven't gotten into rebels yet. With Thrawn being added to the cast I'm about to.
I love how you just couldn't process Thrawn. For several seconds it seemed like you were just overcome by that news.
Sabine also has the dark Saber from season 5 in star wars the clone wars
actually the white mandalorian is a stormtrooper concept that they repurposed for boba.
I am happy that they brought back grand admiral thrawn and the dark troopers into cannon. I would like to see mara jade into the star wars cannon
She’s cannon to me
Did anyone notice that Nathan Kress is wedge?
I'm refreshing the page like 100 times for the justice league and Wonder Woman trailer reaction

Timothy Zahn is writing a new Thrawn book called "Thrawn" to tell us where he came from and what he's been doing up to this point.
That trailer was insaaaaane! So much to take in!
Hey did you know they put some concept work from the clone wars into rebels.
Was that Asajj Ventress that said "your anger makes you powerful" to Ezra.Oops I meant Darth Traya.
you know things are getting serious when they bring in Grand Admiral Thrawn
Nice reaction, I liked that you had no idea up until the revel, a lot of people worked it out earlier

Adam, there's a new Thrawn book coming; announced at that panel
Written by Timothy Zahn
when are you uploading the rest of the audio commentaries?
where r u guys?? its been more than a week waiting for your reactions
Season 4 Villian confirmed to be Jar Jar
That shit rumor of Rebels only getting 3 season's got defunked CopOuts. Stop spreading bullshit information.
Yes there will. Season 3 was CONFIRMED at the panel to NOT be the final season.

i saw the art on the walls and was like.. no way! Mitth'raw'nuruodo!!
do you think he knows about the Thrawn book coming out by Zahn that will explain his rise?
Man I really wish I could watch this show live. I still need to get caught up and watch season 2. 😞
Maybe I'm wrong but, doesn't it an YT 2400, the one like outrider of Dash Rendar? great trailer =)
The sprite.. and the dank.. I’m the one in the middle.. the gamer

have augie and hector seen the trailer yet?

It seems you must have a different experience from everyone else. Every Star Wars fan (myself included) loved Thrawn from the beginning.
hey , now that they've revealed thrawn do you think that they should bring Darth plagueis back into canon like with a movie
He is cannon. He's mentioned by name in episode 3 by Palpatine
Plageus has always been canon
