I'm watching these videos now because people (including me) were just so excited for the sequels, and to be honest I was kinda disappointed by the last jedi, and I'm trying to rekindle that excitement for episode 9.

actually the movie nobody asked for and kind of thought... "yeah we know that"... namely: Rogue one turned out to be ... Funny after all the hype for 7 and 8, actually a spinoff turned out to be the best movie since the original trilogy.
When the love theme hits in the Millenium Falcon scene I got goosebumps - but when the main theme hits... goddamn.... awesome trailer, cannot wait :-D

I mean this in a non-condescending way...Awwwwww! It's beautiful to see people (grown ass men especially) get emotional about this. I teared up and I'm not even the biggest Star Wars fan, but it's really cool to see the legacy this film has had on people's lives. Great reaction guys!

the best thing is when you notice the little details. they dont seem important at first but they add a lot to the realism of the scenes. like when Rey and BB8 walk in the desert: using a real robot and having it and the actor walk on actual sand gives a different feeling than having it all in cg, no matter how good the cg is

How many film previews can you remember, in our lifetime, that have brought us to tears? I agree that this might be the best Star Wars ever. 50 trailer views later and I'm still still a kid in a candy store.

I'm not even that big a fan of star wars, but god that theme almost made me cry.
This must have been insane for the OG star wars fans who are well into their 50's by now, seeing the modern highly advanced special effects, audio and graphics put into their favourite franchise, must have been like a dream come true. I was only 9 when the force awakens was announced but I remember it like it was yesterday, my dad booking tickets at the ODEON Brighton for 17th dec 2015 and driving there knowing we were going to be blown away. Watching this on release day with all the other star wars fans in the cinema with me felt so exiting. Good times😁😁.

I had such an odd reaction to the trailer. When I first watched the trailer my reaction was similar to that of Jason Bourne's right after he takes down the cops in the first film, or pure shock. After watching it a few more times I started to feel the awakening, and it wasn't only the force.

@@proudkiwi7641 The actual slaughtering was never shown, it was ony implied. Meanwhile, boys were (and still are) watching Vegeta, Frieza or Cell actually kill innocent people (including children) for fun on screen.
Speculation:
1. Finn is from Bespin, and found lukes/anakins lightsaber when he was younger. Possibly the son of Calrissian.
2. Nobody has explained who anakins father was. Anakin/sidious/kylo are the same possible clone. All orchestrated by Plaguious. Luke was unforseen in his plans.
3.I would have like a mother/daughter theme to this new trilogy. It seems they are going with the Grandfather angle.
I've seen every one of the movies in the theater since '77. This brings back memories of 4,5, and 6 with some practical sets. Yes, it's going to blow the doors off any movie!

That look at the end when Finn realizes " Oh SHIT! I'm in over my head!!" LMFAO!!! J.J. Abrams never disappoints on casting.
I thought that the trailer distilled the three characters perfectly.
Rey's look of wonder as see sees the spaceship fly off is pure Luke Skywalker.
Finn's disillusionment is palpable.
Kylo Ren's 'nothing will stand in our way' and torture of Poe speaks clearly of his ambition.
Didn't show too much and yet captured the essence so clearly. Amazing!!!
But, then again, Super 8 had an amazing trailer...

This was good, but nothing tops "revenge of the sith", imo.
I feel like Snoke will be more manipulative with Kylo. Such as, he claims to have served with Vader and tells Kylo all these amazing stories about Vader (some fabricated and some not). I think it would be interesting if Kylo has moments in a meditation chamber where he sort of speaks to Vader's helmet, and Snoke plants a voice in his head that is like Vader saying "You are the heir to the Skywalker legacy, you can finish what I started" (if Kylo is, in fact, related to the Skywalkers). As for what Vader started that Kylo wishes to finish, I believe his sole purpose is to turn Luke to the Dark Side. He wants to destroy the Jedi, but also fulfill what Vader started. If Kylo managed to corrupt Luke, he would not only have left the galaxy without any Jedi, but also fulfill Vader's "last request," which is the ultimate turning of Luke to the Dark Side. Think about it: the galaxy likely remembers Vader as a huge threat. Luke and Leia are probably the only ones who know of his redemption. If Snoke were close to Vader and the Emperor, he could know of Vader's wish to turn Luke and destroy the Emperor. Snoke plants the stories in Kylo's head, fabricates Vader's voice telling Kylo to finish what he started (the turning of Luke), and if Kylo succeeds, he is either cast out by Snoke in favor of having Luke as his sole ally, Snoke murders him (turning the Knights of Ren against him), or Luke kills Kylo to preserve his newly found Dark Side power.
Tie Fighters chasing the Falcon: Nostalgia
Kylo is being controlled by another more powerful being. We first hear this being’s voice in the first teaser trailer, when he asks Kylo, “There has been an awakening. have you felt it? The Dark Side…and the Light.” This being is portrayed by Andy Serkis in a motion-capture role as Supreme Leader Snoke.
I believe we saw Luke's metal hand wrapped in the black cape when he places it on a helmet. Just like we saw the chrome guardian, the lady from game of thrones was walking threw a battlefield

I loved all the trailers (and the movie itself), but for some reason, this stands out as my favorite. I loved your reaction to it. The music & the imagery totally got me during this trailer & I teared up when I watched this for the first time too.
Like I said, I wish I had found you guys during the months leading up to The Force Awakens, but with all the new Star Wars movies coming out between the Episodic ones & The Anthology/Star Wars Stories ones, I'll still have a lot to watch & enjoy with you guys!
Plus I am also so looking forward to "Batman vs Superman : Dawn of Justice" as well as "Captain America : Civil War" & other Superhero/Comic Book Movies as well!
Happy to say, I got my ticket for premiere night. Sure as hell gonna watch it a bunch of times but I'm psyched to see it opening night because the crowd is going to go absolute nuts.

Guys, at 1:15 of Teaser #2 there is a TIE fighter shooting up the inside of the star destroyer hangar. I'm just guessing that it may be Finn before getting shot down and landing on Jakku.
I really liked the commentary by these 2 dudes. If the new film is only the 3rd best SW film after Empire and SW then I will be really happy. This trailer is the best one I have ever seen. The sound and imagery is amazing.
LUKE IS IN THE TRAILER. You see him touching R2-D2 at 1:38-1:40 in the trailer. He is hooded and is touching him with his robotic arm.

I personally think (this is just movie canon), since vader/anakin was the one to bring balance to the force and luke neutralized the 2 sith in RotJ, that the force awakening is Kylo Ren re-establishing a new dark side order to bring balance to the force "I'll finish what you started".

One commenter in the video suggested that was a shot of Endor being destroyed. I think he's right!! I mean obviously if Kylo retrieved Darth Vader's helmet, he had to go to Endor. Maybe they nuked it on their way out the door? Oh man. I'll bet that was Endor.

Remember, we did not see Yoda until The Empire Strikes Back. Luke is the last of the trained Jedi at this point. He's not the Obi Wan of this trilogy. He's the Yoda of this trilogy.

+Michael Westmoreland-White My guess is that a few years after The Battle Of Endor, the Knights Of Ren emerged and started hunting down Jedi one by one. Luke may have been training padawan within that time, but eventually decided that he would be saving lives by not training force sensitives...until now. They killed his dog and stole his car. Now it's personal.
***** Wow, that's a great idea! I would love to see that! I can see how that would drive a wedge between Luke and Han. Perhaps when they are reunited, Han might not be so thrilled to see him...which would be sad but also create conflict for great storytelling!

it makes sense that the jedi are a myth in episode 7 because even in episodes 4,5 and 6 the jedi are extinct except for luke , yoda , vader , the emperor and obi wan.
For the accents it will not matter to international audience when the whole movie will be dubbed in their own language , so Rey and Kylo could be related wether they have different English accent in the original movie or not ....watch Star Wars in French .. it's actually sounds pretty cool ...
I also think they are cousins, that may be the reason why Han seems to have been away for some time, maybe to convince his son of coming back to the light.
Have you spotted that the sequence with pilots is exactly the same as the one with Lyke in episode IV. So, Finn is the new Lyke.

I like the "Luke will show up at the end" theory, but the problem with this is that Finn shows up with the Lightsaber to fight Kylo Ren and it just feels like he may have been training with a Jedi (plus we don't know where he gets the Lightsaber) and well, the only Jedi in the Galaxy appears to be Luke. But let's wait and see. I love speculation and making all these theories, but specially love being surprised by the movie.

Han and Leah's love theme is playing because the story is about them and their children. Kylo and Rey
Ray is not crying over Chewie's body.... that's another (don't want to say the name) character. I've seen a picture that was released of a "certain fight scene" between certain charachters (but it is not Chewie) and Ray is right there and there is snow falling in that scene. So, yeah.... Chewie is not the one Ray is crying for.

I honestly do think this one was the best out of the new trilogy, and beats a lot of the prequels in my opinion, I don’t think it was GODLY but I would say it’s the 4th best movie, the first 3 ofc being the original trilogy because the pacing and writing of those first 3 was goated
The worse way they could have made this film is to use focus groups to create a collage of what the public wants to see...instead of just letting the screenplay writer be a GREAT writer.
I'm going to say... Luke is probably hiding to avoid the Knights of Ren, which would mean that "What Vader Started" was the extermination of the Jedi and their ways, which we know to be mostly true. As for the apex villain, I'm going to say that Kylo will probably be the Darth Maul of Episode 7 and Snoke or some hidden source behind Ren will probably become the Sidious equivalent.
the only star wars movie i had seen were episode 4 and bits of empire.....i saw episode 4 like a year ago and for a movie of its time, it had great storyline and awesome effects...
