The wireframe on the CRT monitor looks so sick, I mean, it all looks incredible, but that really stood out to me like Tron or something. Nice work Brandon, but do you have the power to pull the sword out? :o
Awesome, I love these PicoCAD videos! I really like how you basically fudged ambient occlusion by have a darker version of the rock texture on the under side.
Thanks dude! I really like the cel shaded look, to the point where I don't mind it being over and above what the rendered shaders are doing anyway - so much shading! 😅
Nice work! I haven't created anything in picoCAD for a while but your video motivates me to do something in it! Thank you so much! P.S. You can find an option "face props -> Render 1st" in right-click menu. It allows you to choose what face render first, so you don't need to delete overlapping faces.
What a lovely model! Honestly love the tips you gave, didn't know you could rotate the areas when assigning texture, been having a rough time trying to rotate it by hand every time haha great vid!
Awesome work on this one!! It's been really cool seeing the progress from texturing a box, to hitting the vertices limit, and now creating a full scene in picoCAD! Looks like you're developing a really good sense with this software, no manual required 😆 Did you see the recent Green Knight movie? My friends were talking about it but I haven't seen it myself. Seeing your sword in the stone reminded me of it 🗡️😁
Thanks! It's been fun to build up the skills here; still quite new to this so I feel like I learn tons with each new piece! Oh haven't seen that one, looks cool though! Seems like it's really visually stunning 🗡️✨
I dont know what version of picoCAD you are using but in the version 1.02 there is scalling, in that version ou jusst press "U" and "Y" to scale for big and small. Also theres a function to disable the snap into place, if hold "Z" be abble to move the point to any place (also works when mapping texture). That said you did a great job without the scalling function, it would be great to see you take part in a picoCAD jam, i think they happen weekly. I also forgot one thing, another picoCAD trick i learned some days ago, while you are exporting a gif you can use the Undo (crtl+Z) or drag a new file into picoCAD to make little animations.
@Brandon James Greer not sure if its talked about in another video or someone in this thread sees this post but I was wondering if a 1 or 2 pixel brush set is used when getting started. I have PS already due to other work but would like to tinker with pixel art as I love the style and nostalgia surrounding it.
Hi there been a long time fan of your work! Idk if you wanted to but I’d be interested in seeing how you would make a pico8 room using your modeling and pixel art knowledge
I think you created a lot of overlapped faces inside the rock when you extruded it like that, you should extrude faces along a single axis before you go to the next.
Ok nevermind, i just watched the rest of the video, but next time you could avoid creating them in the first place by never extruding a face next to an already extruded one, so extrude for example along the x axis, to get a 2by1by1, then select two faces and extrude them along the y axis to get a 2by2by1, and then select 4 and extrude them along the z axis for the final 2by2by2 for example.
Would be fun if someone pulls out the sword only to find out that the end of the sword is more like a needle (8:43) All that hard work for a square metal stick with a needle at the end..
Crap!! Nooo!! Now everyone wants you to do Pico. At least alternate videos between Pico and Pixel. I think it would be cool if you had all of your videos in one video on a bunch of old arcade monitors. Like it was your own personal arcade and each game was playing on them. Maybe use blender to camera track them in there? Could you do a pixel art space perspective like the cat and robot? You know what time it is... It's CRT time!!
The wireframe on the CRT monitor looks so sick, I mean, it all looks incredible, but that really stood out to me like Tron or something. Nice work Brandon, but do you have the power to pull the sword out? :o
Thanks dude, that was my favourite shot of the sequence too :D And yeah of course; who do you think put the sword there in the first place?! 💪😉💪
CRT vector kinda reminds me of the computer screens in an old Star Trek film, an aesthetic I love. Keep it up!
that wireframe CRT time shot at 8:38 with the glow is so cool oh my god
This could be displayed on board of the Death Star :)
This looks great! Your descriptions of your process are very well articulated and simple to understand.
4:08 in castlevania aria of sorrow, you can get a "sword" in time atack called excalibur, wich is a sword in the stone that you use like a hammer
Bashing Excalibur with the stone still attached - That's how you wield Excalibur in Castlevania.
"no waaaaayyyyy!!! :D!!!" was my first reaction to picoCAD. I've never seen this before! it looks amazing! thank you for showing us!

The wire view looked so cool on the CRT
That accursed app bird, following us even into Ancient times...

thse remind me of the little 3d icons that would appear on the 3ds when you insert a cartdrige. Great job!
ANOTHER PICOCAD VID LESGO
This is great! would love to see Hana done in 3D!
What a lovely model! Honestly love the tips you gave, didn't know you could rotate the areas when assigning texture, been having a rough time trying to rotate it by hand every time haha great vid!
Great work it looked amazing
The bird : It ain't much but it's honest work
that came out awesome!
t'was very interesting to see how picocad works as i had no knowledge of it before this video. hope to get more picocad content soon! :D

Awesome, you are my inspiration to keep making pixel art, hope it never ends!
Straight from Portlandia… 6:09 👍
That one was my favorite skit as a kid
This is so beautiful 😍
Loving this kind of content, keep it up!

Ooh that's good to know, gotta look into that! I've seen little animations popping up here and there and had no clue how people were doing that 😅
very cool!
YES ANOTHER PICOCAD VID YOU'RE SO GOOD AT IT
the relative scale reveal reminded me of hidden sword in the stone weapon from magicka
Man, you are the best! amazing work as always!!
This is so cool! :D As a fan of low poly, PICO-8, and pixel art, this is great! :D Also, I love the bird too because I have a little blue parrot. :)
that was so great, i hope we get more picocad content
you always blow me away with your art
pixel art is just such a relaxing form of art to make
specially with binary colors please do more of that
PicoCAD is so rad
Good art 👍👍, i'll wait for u another nice pixel art
Lovin the picocad vids!
Another one, nice
I was about to sleep,
how dare you do this too me
Same
This gives me adventure time vibes.
Please do more shops/buildings!
Awesome Excalibur

oh nah twitter bird got the sword
amazing video!
Hi there been a long time fan of your work! Idk if you wanted to but I’d be interested in seeing how you would make a pico8 room using your modeling and pixel art knowledge
Can you make a video about voxel(3d pixel) art? I'd be curious to see what you could do with voxels.
Bjg does it again!
Of course when I'm working on a project in picocad of the sword in the stone this pops up
Very interesting
great tutorial
Can you give me tips on how to make a wave animation. Like a cat's tail or a scarf in the wind
Can you please make a vidoe on how to animate a scrolling background and how to add a parallex effect to it! 🙏🙏🙏
cra, você faz um ótimo trabalho. parabéns
Put a bird on it.
Put a bird on it!
They should make a higher resolution editor to draw easier with and a low resolution preview option
I love this program but it's so hard to use, the limited resolution kills it when modeling anything big.
U should try and 3D print these art works or somethin
Ey men cool video 👍 when is the mext detective video coming👌
3d my favorite and nostalgia style ps2 GameCube artstyle I love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰☺️☺️☺️🤗🤗🤗

I like it. I am curious, though, why you opted for a rectangular sword instead of one with an edge.
Thanks! Mostly just a stylization decision to keep it simpler; it looks chunky like a play sword made out of pieces of wood 😅
Nice
picoCAD is nice, but will you make a video with Blender's Sprytile addon? Would be so cool I think
Quick question! How did you display the final result on an older tv?
Can Picocad animations be exported as sprite sheets to be used in 2D projects as "animations only"?
Ancient Knights of Twitter :D
cool
How to hide the board down of the prop ?
Would be fun if someone pulls out the sword only to find out that the end of the sword is more like a needle (8:43)
All that hard work for a square metal stick with a needle at the end..
Make a dead space guy
Yowww early
