This person, I'm sorry,...this man is an example for everyone to follow. Artists and non-artists, indie developers and non-developers, heroes and everyone. We all have to learn how to make images made of tiny squares so adorable.
"Full disclosure though, I actually do all my pixel art using the track pad on my laptop"-- cool okay yeah cool okay cool THAT IS INSANE. People who make their art using a trackpad are absolute mad lads. As always, excellent work with your tiny squares!!!! :^D
I was smiling the whole time watching this but a big dumb goofy grin hit me when I saw the reveal of the intruder at the end. Great video once again, I’m loving the black and white with one highlight look of this piece, keep up the good work!
Over a thousand likes and 0 dislikes. That's how you know you're about to watch something truly great. Love the vids Brandon! You've quickly become one of my top 5 creators on the platform, and it's been amazing watching you grow so quickly.
I did a pixel art comic a few years back; it's a lot of work, especially the lettering. Having such a small canvas to work with really limits what u are able to say. Best of luck to u, Brandon. This turned out really cool!
You’re sense of space is incredible! I love this piece and am amazed, as I am by every video of yours, that you can create these masterpieces out of tiny squares. Thank you for inspiring me every video.
this is so good, i cam in with really low expectations for this concept. didn't seem like it would really be my thing but you blew them away. you put together some banger tiny squares today.
Brandon, you never cease to amaze! :D I was so pumped when I saw that you were creating a comic this time around. I love seeing your process, regardless of the piece, but it was extra cool this time seeing all the graphic elements come together. I dunno if you’re planning on making more cute little pixel comics, but I highly approve, haha. Thank you for taking the time to share your creativity, hard work, and your kindness too. Take care and keep it square, sir! :3
Thanks so much dude I appreciate that! I had so much fun making this and figuring out all the design elements, so I know it's a format I'll visit again! :D
Dude you inspired me to do pixel art and no lie before this video came out I was actually trying to use CSP to start pixel art. Thank you I now have an easier way to use it
Ohhh this is so good. That breaking the manga into an panel animation is something readers do, but see it animated one at time makes feels even better. Great job and visual
Nice! There’s something very satisfying about slightly fancy comic layouts - like a tension between the rigidity of panels and the life expressed by the design. If you haven’t, check out the old Krazy Kat comics. They have a wild, playful design sense (less so when the syndicate mandated a more reformattable layout) and of course a black cat.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! I have this story idea that I somewhat recently decided would really suit a pixel art style, and coincidentally, it also has relations to space. I was struggling for a while wondering how everything would work out, especially with the scaling but this helped out a ton! tysm :))
Cute!! Way to go on this! Super helpful tips on the sizing of the panels. I’ve been curious about testing the workflow of this style against a more traditional/digital version... so cool to see you do that!
Holup you do all these with the laptop trackpad?!! Not with a stylus or a tablet or anything but a TRACK PAD??! Amazing!! Do you use trackpad for your other works as well? Gosh, Ii'm blown away! Awesome work btw! I'm just starting with pixel art, and I'm so grateful for your videos, they have helped me a ton! 🥺 Edit: The comic is undeniably adorable! 🤩
Early enough to see zero dislikes, but then again there'd be little to no people who'd dislike stuff like this anyway! Amazing how you managed to tell quite the story in a few comic panels, oh, and the reveal of the intruder was my favorite part :]
Wow! Really nice work dude! And I'm so grateful you explained almost everything 💖 I would love to see what you did to animate your comic presentation too 😊
I love this comic so much! 😻I somehow can picture one of the episodes with Gary typing a secret message - you know how cats love to walk on keyboards ⌨️
Yes! I've just subscribed to this software two weeks ago haha! Another great timing with your art 😁 Thank you, again, for another great tutorial! I will use this one definitely! ♥️
I am now fully subscribed to the adventures inside Gary's Galaxy 🤩 Man's straight up made a motion comic in this one too. 😱 Amazing production as usual! And Clip Studio looks very nice to use - I never would've thought that it would make for such a decent pixel art workspace. That was very interesting to see! Do you feel like have more insight into your preferred drawing environments & tools after this?
Haha you are now subscribed to Daily GG Facts; text 'imma pounce' to unsub 😆 Thanks dude! My takeaway from the workflow here was actually that there's a lot of stuff I could be introducing to help me strengthen my work - things like working on a grid and using guides were really nice for planning composition, and I could see that improving the way I lay things out :D
@@BJGpixel Ooh, that's a good takeaway! I think the middle section where you got creative with the layout/composition is my fav here, it worked out very well! 😁
@@CKTDanny Thanks, me too! It's fun to do something with more of an open flow like that, and to do some planning/structure behind the scenes to make it work 😅
I can't believe it's never occurred to me that you could do pixel art comics 😯 kinda wish I could point that out to teenage me! That 1 bit dithering works so well, and the composition of the frames really makes it pop.
Thanks dude! Yeah the sizing (at least what I've used here) doesn't necessarily allow for much dialogue text, but it's tons of fun to play with the other elements! :D
Laughed out loud at the reveal at the end. My cats are starting at me like I've done something wrong.
Haha I showed the comic to mine, they didn't seem to recognize or appreciate the humour 😅

Thanks so much, was hoping the reveal would still be somewhat of a surprise at that point! :D
Me too, Brandon your videos make my day!
Seconded, loved the reveal especially as a fellow cat lover ^-^
This is such an adorable comic!
The ending made me laugh really hard 😂 this is my favorite channel!
This came out just as I was considering making a pixel art comic of my own! It was nice to watch your workflow and figure how I want to make mine!
Great timing, good luck with your comic - the world needs more pixel art comics! :D
In my opinion this is one of your most well achieved pieces! Marvelous all around, would love for it to turn into a real thing. Congratulations!
I appreciate that, thanks so much dude! Would be fun to follow through with this concept some more :D
Yeah! I've been using clip studio for a month and I was wondering if I could make pixel art. What a good timing!
I do other digital art with clip studio but was inspired by this channel to try pixel art last summer and it works great for this!

The best part is the reveal. It adds a whole new dimension to the pixel art comicbook genre!
excuse me... HE USES A *TRACKPAD?!* you are insane and immensely talented, i am in awe

I'm not a big fan of comics, but didn't know I needed this in my life. I would read this, especially with the way you animated the panels.
i have been making my pixel art in CSP for awhile- glad to see others doing the same!

Thank you Brandon for not taking this opportunity to make an "imposter" joke.
Sheeeeshh, back to back BANGERS
You are really good at pixel art. I love your videos too, because they are super relaxing.
Stoooooked for the next issue/video!
It always impresses me how easy it looks when you do it and how hard it is to make pixelart by yourself (in this case myself ;-))
Sooooo good. The formula was such a clever touch! Always inspiring.
I love Clip Studio paint so much! I’ve been working on video game art and comics on the program.
Exquisite piece. Gave me some ideas. Thanks for the inspirarion.
