WHAT A MAGNIFICENT performance ! God bless us all !!! jj
This was the very 1st song I ever heard ‼️. I was HOOKED….Like WOW ‼️🥰‼️. I’ve been a Home Fry ever sense‼️🔥‼️ These guys are Amazingly Beautiful 🥰‼️🔥❤️‼️
Chris Rupp featuring Home Free: What Child is This and Home Free: Do You Hear What I Hear are my favorite covers, phenomenal! Home Free: Christmas Ain’t For the Lonely, Warmest Winter, Full of Cheer and Snow Globe are favorite originals! 🥰. Thank you for your awesome reactions! Merry Christmas!
Beautiful beautiful!! WOW! All the harmonies were spot on! Love love love this version! Great reaction! I love Home Free😊
Merry Christmas, Beth! Back when this was recorded, Chris took over the bassline when Tim was the lead. Nowadays, it's (Adam) Chance. Both men have great range.
Chris Rupp does have a wide range, and displays it (for instance) on his recording of Amazing Grace on his own YT channel.
However, Chris himself reviewed and reacted to this Home Free recording on his own channel last week. And he acknowledged that, altho he would do the baseline when they performed this live, Tim double-tracked it on this recording. "Because he's bassier than I am." That admission is about two minutes in, in the vid linked below. I was kind of disappointed to learn that, and now I wonder how many of their OTHER old recordings have "fake Chris".
ruclips.net/video/TdvDXlx-Vgw/видео.html
The difference is that Chris only did it in live shows, while Chance also does it on the recordings. Before, Tim was double tracked on the studio recordings. At least that's what I learned from one of Chris's videos.
Rupp's range is from G#1-G#5, while Chance's goes from F1-F5. Despite the virtually identical ranges, Rupp is more comfortable at the top of his range and Chance prefers to be at the bottom of his range.
@@roberthudson1959 Chance even was the bass of another a capella group before he joined Home Free.
@@DougRayPhillips Chris has said before that All About That Bass is the only Home Free song where he ever took over the bass line during Tim's solo in the studio recording. Every other time they just double tracked Tim on the bass part.

Merry Christmas Miss Beth !!! This way a real banger to go out on. Can't get much better than Home Free to close out on...leaves a lasting impression for sure.
Merry Christmas Beth. Another wonderful reaction video to my favorite Christmas Carol. It is so refreshing to see the emotions you show whenever you do reactions. Your knowledge of music and how it is vocally produced is quite extraordinary. You do choke up this old man to see the love you have for music and shows the beautiful inner beauty you have. May you have the best this crazy world has to offer. I always look forward to your reactions.
Robert from Texas!
Loved your reaction as always 😊 Very Entertaining and very informative at the same time 😊 thank you so much for this reaction video..
Sure hope you do more Home Free in the New Year, they have several new songs, and are regularly releasing new songs. Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas Beth! Wonderful reaction and breakdown, as usual. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!
God Jul, from Sweden. Also, there is an understanding, a truce... We all adore you, we all need you and people like you. So ... here we all are.
Merry Christmas, Beth. Thank you for the year of wonderful video reaction and analyses gifts you have given us.
So beautiful. Loved the “bell tones” and those amazing harmonies. Just so pretty. I love Angels We Have Heard on High in the same church. Also they just came out with Mary Did You Know which is incredible. Loved your reaction. Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Oh also please react to Adam Rupp’s arrangement of Do You Hear What I Hear. It’s amazing.
Home Free any time of the year is great. As a matter of fact I am going to catch them live at "The Strawberry Festival" March 5th. I can't wait. Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas, Beth. Looking forward to many more of your informative reactions in the New Year.
Compliments of the Season Beth and thanks for some great posts in 2021. This track is a real curl up next to a log fire with a hot drink and the one you love track.
Home Free just never misses on a song.
Awesome reaction, love you're accent and energy!
I loved your reaction to their bell chord (best part of a capella).
Love your reactions Beth. Merry Christmas!
Hello girl, Happy New year!! I'm am a new subscriber love your reactions. It is so nice to see Adam and Chris singing together, side by side, and in cathedral! very special!
Aah and a very Merry Christmas ⛄🎄 to you and your family 😊
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Beth!
Merry Christmas! I appreciate your reactions. Regarding the Christmas attire, your festive spirit blinds any observation that a viewer would notice.
Merry Christmas and can't wait to see you next year.
have a very healthy and happy holidays.
I do believe that you're right with this particular song as recorded. Tim sounds double tracked when he's doing the opening melody line. It looks like Chris is singing in the tenor 2 range when it shows him during Tim's opening part. Chris is capable of singing the bass line in that particular song, but due to his higher voice type, he doesn't have the resonance needed to carry the rest of the chord structure in the deep part of his range on this song. He does well in the beginning of Do You Hear What I Hear. This is probably mainly due to the fact that the beginning is a lot of humming and oo vowels. There isn't much resonance in those naturally, so it works for that song.
Great reacation, enjoy your Christmas see you in the next year.
Merry Christmas Beth!!!!
I love this.
Merry holidays and healthy new year, Beth and company! :)
Merry Christmas, Beth.
The way Austin wrinkles his nose is so cute!
I don't know the technical term for when each singer sings a note separately to make a chord, sort of like handbells do. You mentioned that it was used extensively by The Beach Boys, but it happened in many of my late father's favourites from the Korean War era. Probably the most iconic song that features the bell tone chords is Mr. Sandman by The Chordettes. There is a llive version on RUclips from 1958 that you may want to check out. If they could have gotten Adam Rupp to back them up, it would have sounded awesome.
Roar! Merry Christmas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, BETH! 🙂
Merry Christmas Beth. You should check out O Holy Night by Lucy and Martha Thomas. These sisters sound like what I would expect the angels to sound like. I know you'd enjoy this beautiful version.
When you do it, its adorable. ;)
Merry Christmas Jacksonville, Florida USA.
Merry Christmas Beth! The best to you and yours :)
Hope your Christmas goes well ❤️🙏
This somehow reminds me of _someone’s_ rendition of ‘O Holy Night’, Beth!
Try Tim Foust doing Come go with me.
Bell Tones often used in Barbershop Harmony
Something more fun - "Elvira" with The Oak Ridge Boys. (The old and the new melded together.)
Austin Brown is one of the best singers I've ever heard. Home Free featured him in their rendition of When a Man Loves a Woman and he has a solo of Unchained Melody accompanied by guitar.
Austin Brown isnt a featured singer hes their lead/high tenor...I agree that hes one of the greatest singers ive ever heard but hes not a featured singer. Hes just basically their lead and of course Tim ...Rob has a great lead voice just not as pure as Austins. What seperates Chance (replaced Chris) is he has more vocal range. Im sorry if people or other Home Fries disagree...we still family.
I’m off to watch you and Chris after this!
Merry Christmas, Beth
There are so many renditions of this song and this one is of my favourites...the other one is by Gabriel Henrique
Merry Christmas!
Please look into Tom Hollens featuring Home Free... Amazing Grace!
It's unreal!!!!
Geoff got some coaching fromTim Foust
Merry Christmas Beth.
Chris started the song singing the bass!
Merry Christmas Beth!
Who knew that Beth not only Roars, but she Growls too!!! That was cute!
O' Holy Night is my all time favorite Christmas song. Home Free does such an amazing arrangement! It made me happy finding your reaction to it.
Here goes my suggestion for 2022 Christmas season.
Patty Gurdy feat. Fiddler's Green - The Yule Fiddler (Christmas Time Is Coming 'Round Today)
ruclips.net/video/ZqesZeoiE6I/видео.html
Gabriel Henrique cover O holy night... The best voice..... Amazing.
You should react to “What Child Of Mine” with Chris Rupp featuring Home Free. Something special !
Chris Rupp was singing bass here
Thank you!
Holy crap, Austin's got a babyface
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas
Merry xmas! Awesome as always. A suggestion: react to Lisa, Homura, First Take edition. You won't be disappointed, believe me!
Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Of course you know that Tim has the range to go from a speaker blowing low to a relatively high tenor. To me, Adam Chance has a better natural baritone voice with better range than Chris Rupp had. Chance can take over the bass line without any trouble when Tim is singing something else. Of course, just my opinion and I have no formal voice training.
As it is Christmas I would highly recommend reacting to Sissel Kyrkjebø doing her rendition of O Helga Natt
Wonderful rendition of Oh Holy Night. During your time off, you should listen to Morissette Amon's latest take on Oh Holy Night. I'm quite sure you will find it fabulous.
"Living Thing" Jeff Lynne & E.L.O.--the zoom tour live. I think you'll like it.🤗
The tenor sounds quite a bit like Josh Groban. He has the range and vocal styling. And by the way: I hope have a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
Why can't people listen and react for real ..... than afterwards listen again and give us a lesson of how smart they are in singing themselves?!?!
Chris sings bass quite well so Tim wouldn't need to double track.
And yet we see on the video that it was Chris that echoed Austin in the high tenor range - all these guys have amazing range.
React to David Phelps O holy night and to the hoppers Jerusalén Is Incredible song
Hello! I'd like to let you know that the reaction channel "Paulyn Nath" used your thumbnail of this video on their own reaction thumbnail.
I don't know if you have but would be interested in your reaction to karnivool.
Hello Beauty Merry Christmas God bless you I am sent to you a hug a big hug
Chris sang bass while Tim sang
Could you imagine doing an analysis of Vangelis's "Mythodea", movement 9 for choir and two solo sopranos?
Wish you'd done Jussi Bjorling's version.
You should do a reaction to Broken Peach. Tainted Love or This is Halloween
@bethroars Hi, I like your reactions! 😁 Please react to Robbie Williams - Feel, live at Knebworth 😊
React to Gabriel Henrique singing O Holy Night!
React to The Pretty Reckless please, Only Love Can Save Now or 25
You should also react to silent Night from Pentatonix it's a live version which they did in a church. It sounds great.
I love Tim but Austin is one of the best singers I ever heard along with Haley from Post Modern Jukebox
Merry Christmas! Please do Roman sky live at the Grammy museum by avenged sevenfold! Thanks!!
I mean when Tim was leading
only thing what about the beautiful church!!!
Please react to LatinoAmerica by Calle 13 *WITH subtitles*. Though it might not be known for its vocal chops, although there are some good vocalists in the chorus, it is an important Grammy winning song that speaks to historical, social, and political themes present throughout Latin America. You’ll also get a lot of hits, trust me 😉.
React gabriel Henrique holy nyght
What's not Christmassy with lovely red hair and blue eyes ???
React to Gabriel Henrique -O' Holy Night
Not exactly vocal fry or subharmonics. I am a bass singer. This is more an incidental activation of the false vocal folds while singing baritone for a bass singer. We croak when trying to stay out of our bass range, all while singing above it.
Tim's mid bass range (which is what I would consider those notes for Tim) is so full. His slide in and out when near his mid base range are so full and smooth and, yes, almost incidental. I believe his chest range extends below those notes and only then will he actually growl but that's something to hear and even more amazing to experience live (pants shake and you can feel it in your chest).
Try John Berry’s version of this song. 😱
Pelageya (russian singer):
Пелагея - Ой да не Вечер (12/06/2020)

She is amazing! Incredible technique!
Please react cover version of Hindi-Jiya Jale song by K S Harishankar with Pragati band. Please..... please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Pls do react to morissette performing Beyoncé medley
Please, you could react that video Zé da timba e Zé latinha.
Now those low rattles on Tim’s voice is natural. Just listen to him speak. It’s there all the time. Now the guy who sings bass for PTX, does not have that low rattle when he speaks. He can sing bass but he is not a natural bass. I am going to go find a video that has no singing, but you can hear the speaking voice of JD Sumner, who is one of the worlds lowest bass singers. Or I should say was. He is not with us any longer. He speaks lower than most bass singers can sing. He is a natural bass.
No need to react, but just listen to JD Sumner talk. He also used to be Elvis’s bass singer.
