Took finasteride for 3 months 2.5 years ago. Gave me gyno and sexual sides (still have both). I had 0 gyno and was very fit and healthy before hand. Ive also been concerned recently that it may have affected my cognition. Don't risk it. Fix your diet and exercise like crazy, and if that doesn't fix your hair loss, at least you'll get fit and healthy in the process.

@@batmanbillions Eh, ejaculation seems to be fine for the most part. Watery sometimes but most of the times it seems to be healthy. Ill probably go get my fertility checked in the next year or so.
The main sexual problem for me is lower libido in general. I've had random crazy spikes, but for the most part it's non existent. I don't even think about sex much anymore and havent busted in weeks, not because of a conscious decision but simply because I've had little desire to. And this is coming from someone who had very high sex drive before hand (Granted, I was just under 19 years old when I took fin. 21 now).

Dutasteride and oral minoxidil for the win, and I've had no side effects from either. If I had avoided these drugs out of fear of side effects, I would still be losing my hair, and for no good reason. The only way to know if there are side effects for you is to try them, and If there is, stop taking them, side effects aren't permanent.

Minoxidil destroyed my joints and tendons. I was only on topical for a week. 8 months later still in the same condition. And for anyone who wants to reply saying it’s unrelated or im making this up I spoke with Professor Howard Maibach who synthesized the drug from a oral to topical solution like I took. He admitted that is a known side effect because minoxidil can suppress lysyl hydroxylase enzyme which is essential for collagen in one’s bones, joints, skin, etc. I have not been able to find treatment because there is a conflict of interest with pharmaceutical companies treating patients with minoxidil related issues. This drug has destroyed my life. 8 months ago I was training for a state record deadlift and now getting out of bed every morning is hard. The first two months I could barely walk.

I never had any bad side effects in a year. From the get go I took a boron supplement to prevent the conversion of dht to estrogen. First month I went .5 mg, noticed a different feeling orgasm and thinner semen, then as time went on things went back to normal because my body adjusted. No depression because I’m no longer a half bald guy a year later. If anything my sex drive feels like it went up. I had my test checked a month back and at 49 it’s 718 which is real good. I think where some guys have a problem is if they have higher estrogen from the get go, either naturally, or being fat, or inactive then the spike in estrogen from finasteride may push you over the edge. I don’t know how I would have been if I was just an inactive fat guy. I just took every precaution from the getgo. Lost weight, regularly weight train, and avoid estrogen causing food. It’s really nothing to fear from my experience.

Best recommendation, if there are side effects, what about stopping 😄 your body is giving you a signal and aaying: don't put that shit on my head, and is causing a reaction. Is causing an allergy. And we should do back: oh nono, then I will force it and just eat it, then the body is maybe shutting up.
That will cause long therm health issues, most allergies start like that.
And guys, what is more important, a bit more hair or your sex life.
Next in 5 years you will go to the doctor because you can't get it up anymore.
Don't be a victim always. Think smart and do long term medical free choices. The body will forgive a while but not forever.
Eat 2-3 months fast food, nothing will happen, drink 20 cigarettes nothing will happen. But do that 10 years.. And see what will happen. :)

This is the universe telling us sex is sacred. Ofcourse your genes play a part but I’m sure if someone is modest with how much they ejaculate. They’ll look and feel better in general.
I think ejaculation plays a big role in health and vitality in general. Your semen is essentially your life force. Every time you expel it, your body has to work hard to create it again. All the resources your body uses to create your semen, draw from other parts of your body and I believe keeping your semen inside you - nourishes your body as well.

Studies show it prevents hairloss in men for lifetimes. It's not 'stopping the inevitable' it's literally just stopping. It is also far less stressful for most men to take a pill every day than to lose your hair in your 20s or 30s. Been on the drug for two years and hair has thickened and remained the same. My only regret was not going on it a year earlier.

Interesting how they always state the “low percentage” but never say out of how many numbers.
Lets say its out of 1,000,000 people. Thats still 100,000+ people experiencing ED/depression side effects…
The more they state these “low percentage” without telling the numbers- makes it all more fishy. Trash

      100,000 is not 1.7% of 1,000,000.
And, no, they don't have to state the numbers as a percentage figure is the most accurate representation possible.
      Edit: 1.7% of 1,000,000 would be 17,000.
