      Hi There also just started minox and ijust had the same experience last week in the middel of the night. You said something that triggert me, that you dreamt of heart not pumping corectly. I had the same and that idea gave me heart palpitations. So maybe its also the anxiety thats acting there because with an anxiety atack you would get the same symtoms.

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  3 года назад +2

      @@metroism Hi Marco, I think what you experienced in the middle of the night was indeed due to the use of Minoxidil. I don't think it was because of an "anxiety dream" even though we experienced it like that. Compare it as having that huge urge to pee during a dream and you keep on dreaming that you can't find a toilet 😅 your brain makes a story out of what your body is experiencing until you actually wake up. Now, I can be mistaken, but I think this happens more frequently during the night, as your body is relaxed and your heart rate goes very low, if it goes even lower because of Minoxidil, you can start feeling those symptoms. However, these symptoms can indeed be for other reasons too and that's why I advice you to talk to your doctor if you start to have these unpleasant moments often. Wish you all the best!

    Minoxidil made me feel like I was having a heart attack. I called 911, went to the ER, they said I was fine & they chalked it up to gas or anxiety. I'm almost positive it was minoxidil

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 года назад +4

      Even though I didn't have any real proof that my sickness that night was due to Minoxidil, I also have a feeling it was the cause of this. Try to lower the dosage as well like I did, and hopefully this won't happen again. If it will, I will strongly recommend you to contact your doctor. Stay safe!

      Same happened to me! After a few months of minox with no serious problems, I suddenly got noticeable chest pain.
      I thought I was having a heart attack, but the symptoms were not exactly the same. I went to a doctor the next day, and the ECG was fine.
      I was not sure wtf happened at first, but suspected minox.
      I experimented a little, I tried lowering the dose, but I still get the same feeling (chest pain) right after minox application. I am considering giving up on minoxidil entirely, to be honest. No beard is worth risking heart health.

    hey man, i literally had the same experience as you described last night, though it was much longer and i couldnt sleep for the rest of the night, i started walking and talking deep breaths which helped a bit, but when i lay down again to sleep suddenly i feel like having a heart attack and i couldnt breathe, im only 3 months on the product, and i dont want to quite what i started, and i also felt like caffeine and smoking increased that sensation

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 года назад +2

      Hey Jack, sounds like you were also having palpitations! If I were you, I would try to lower the dose as much as possible. Even though you need to take it in the morning and evening... Just use very, very little amount of Minoxidil. And if possible, reduce the use of caffeine drinks (coke, coffee, etc.) to see if it helps as well. Well, it's not up to me to say to stop smoking, but it can perhaps help as well to avoid such attacks in the future. What you can do is talk to your doctor about what happened. I did a blood test the next day to be sure everything was alright. That's all the advice that I can give you! Wish you all the best and let me know if it ever happens again and what you did to make it go away... Stay safe, Jack.

    yeap i can attest to this. Used minox for 1 year since april 2021.. in nov 2021, my resting HR more than doubled from 65+ to 155+. I could barely even sleep listening to my own heart beat thumping badly. Went to see a heart specialist, all heart tests ( echo & ecg, xray) showed normal heart function. Blood & urine test showed positive results. Even the doc was puzzled at the time. Long story short, when my HR sky rocketed, my daily routines was heavily affected, including my minox application. I stopped everything from taking vits, including minox as i didnt know what the root cause was. After a few weeks, the palpitations started to subside. To date, the palpitations comes and go, and believe it or not im still on minox but not as consistent as i was then ( 2x daily ) . The beard growth was so worth it, i literally had no hair on my face before.. tbh im still risking it taking minox, but at the same time monitoring closely on how my body reacts..still plenty of vellus yet to go terminal.. this is my experience, and i hope it helps.!

      @victorlee9428 Год назад +1

      Before reducing the dose the best way consult with doctor. Don’t try to be lab mouse for minoxidil. I did lower dose it gave another tachycardia attacks. That one was long it took half hour to slow my heat down. My heart rate was 150above. To me minoxidil may gain some fragile hair or tentative in case lower dose works. But long term side effects need to be concerned.
      Beside tachycardia, if you have chest congestion or insomnia or anxiety, be cautionoudly, those could be caused by minoxidil if you use for long term. Again your health is more vital than hair. Find something which more natural option for replacement.

    • @Astoilov1
      @Astoilov1 Год назад

      Do not apply minoxidil within 24 hours of dermarolling. It is extremely dangerous because the minoxidil enters your blood stream and you essentially overdose.

    It took me about a year and a half to figure out this. I stopped using this because it causes me to have anxiety attacks. I struggled for a year with heart problems irregular heart beats, shortness of breath and sleep apnea. I been hospitalized and was diagnose with sever anxiety. I didn't understand because I'm healty in a sense. I linked this to my recent health problems by running out of the product and taking a break from using it for a month. I no longer had the problem and realized, hey I haven't had an anxiety attack in almost a whole month. I was happy but yet still haven't figured it out yet that the minox was causing it untill I returned to the product and a week or two later the problem started again so I stopped using the foam and the anxiety stopped again after a week. But do you wake up every night just to go wash your hair in the middle of the night?

    One problem is that 1 milliliter, a 5th of a teaspoon, is very small. Very easy to overdo it. I was even taling oral with topical hur had to stop oral due to sides. Higher dose yields a lot more regrowth - one youtuber reportedly takes 10 mg oral per day with incredible growth. 10 mg would probably kill me unfortunately.

    Minoxidil worked great for me for 3 months, I was seeing crazy results in as quick as a month and a half. However I would notice that it would cause my heart rate to increase. After 3 months I developed neuropathy. I had sharp pains with numbing and tingling and my limbs were falling aslee before I could it was very scary. I stopped minoxidil and the side effects stopped, I then started again to make sure I was certain it was the minoxidil and turns out it was. I have since stopped minoxidil and just take finesteride.

      Hey! I think the best is to listen to your doctor, if he says to stop, it's better to stop (life and health is more worth than having hair). If he suggests to simply lower the dosage, you can try changing certain things. If you use Minoxidil in foam, I recommend using liquid Minoxidil, it's easier to use small amounts imo. Just a few drops or sprays on the area that you're losing your hair and massage it for a minute and that would be enough. However, you can also try to use 2% Minoxidil instead of 5%. That being said, you should listen to your doctor and your body first. Good luck mate and take care 🙂

      That's a great question, the transplanted hair is permanent and therefore, I don't need to apply Minoxidil on that area. However, my natural hair right behind my transplanted hair is still receding slowly. That's why I need to apply Minoxidil on the natural hair. i had increased heartbeat side for about 12 hrs i would like to know your lower dosage thanks.

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 года назад +1

      I first started with a quantity that is equal to half of the lid from the Minoxidil spray. Just like it was mentioned in the instructions. It's in foam form so it was easy to see and use. Afterwards, after my experience with low blood pressure, I lowered the dose to a minimal, in my case I only use tiny bits of Minoxidil and apply it immediately to the scalp. The size of those tiny 'foam drops' are the size of a pea. And I do that 3 or 4 times until my hair has had at least a bit of Minoxidil everywhere. Now I noticed that a spray that normally takes a month to finish, I can now use it for 3 or 4 months. However, even with the small dose, I still experience some increased (or decreased) heartbeats... So once I go back to the clinic, I will ask what I can do next.

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 года назад +1

      Oh, and the reason why I say it's important to use it twice a day, it's because my doctor really emphasized on that. She told me "don't even start with Minoxidil if you're not going to apply it twice a day. It will have no use if you don't follow these simple instructions." So I do what they've told me and spread the same message 😉

      I'm not sure if it's really a disease. But I think it causes some palpitations to certain people, or a low blood pressure... That can have the result that you feel very sick suddenly. I always recommend to seek medical advice with your doctor before using this!

      I really do not know why they allow this minoxidil topical to be sold in public.
      It is very dangerous drug for people do not enough knowledge about minoxidil. If you do not pay attention simply believe it is a counter top medication or FDA approval, you are naive and broken Brain. This shitty drug almost killed my heart and life!!! Should a prescription drug under doctor instruction!!!!

    drink coffee when you use minoxidil

      Unfortunately, we also have to apply this at night and I feel like I have the side effects more when my body is at rest at night than during the day. And if I drink coffee before bed I can't sleep, haha. But since I lowered the those it's getting better though. Thanks for the tip!

    It sounds like you had a panic attack.

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 года назад +5

      Perhaps panic attacks look similar. But in this case, I was sleeping peacefully when it happened (which would be strange for a panic attack) at that moment I wasn't afraid or panicking about anything. I was just feeling all those symptoms without any clue why it was happening. But afterwards the doctor clearly explained that all those symptoms (urge to vomit, tingly hands, etc.) was all due to low blood pressure and Minoxidil has that side effect. Now that I lowered the dosage, I never experienced anything like that again. So it's all good now :)

      @@Gabiche Oh I'm glad man. I only said that because I've experienced carpopedal spasms (brought on by overactive adrenergic response, similar to a panic attack) which sounded a lot like what you described. I'm glad you went to the doctor afterwards, but it sounds like a one-off and certainly scary experience. Glad you're ok! I appreciate your vids btw. Got my transplant on nov 5th so I'm about 6 weeks in and trying to get through the shedding phase. Your hair looks great, gives hope :).
