The only reason why justice was served in this case, was because of the public uproar about it, just imagine how many other cases have gone unpunished !!!
very true
Thats what I thought. They dont care about the floyds they dont want another riot
Justice is justice .
That is why we need to get rid of qualified immunity. Even in well publicized cases of police engaging in illegal activity they often get paid administrative leave. A citizen of the US does not get that and they can't get away with the crime because they didn't understand that they broke the law. We have an epidemic in the country called The Blue Line Gang and the boot lickers that defend them.
😂😂 so you guys destroyed cities small business because you were too emotional and had a lack of understanding of the situation
You people are something else
22 years. If the cop was the one who was murdered by a civilian, it would be life. This is a start though. Start holding crooked cops accountable.
And start holding criminals accountable. More cops are killed than the few cases like this each year. This cop had no idea Floyd would die and he would lose his job and go to prison that day. But criminals on Fentanyl, etc. may die on you. He deserves going to prison because he went to far trying to spite the crowd that was hollering at him.
Wasn't intentional though. If indeed he did actually kill him, which I doubt.
George Floyd overdosed on fentanyl and the cop who arrested him got blamed for his death. The only reason they're throwing this cop under the bus is because BLM threatened to burn down half of the country if they didn't. Basically, America negotiated with and gave into the demands of a terrorist organization. It's not something you should be celebrating.
22 years is alot for murder
@@CarnismDebunked Hah when somebody tells you he cant breath stop n you choking them that is intentional
And all of that is gonna need to be served in solitary due to the fact that the gen pop is unsafe for him, as many are out for his skin
I was wondering about that. If he would go to gen pop. I believe solitary should only be used if you are doing something wrong while in prison. It should never be to 'protect' criminals from other criminals.
@Dr fakee Dr fakee I didn't ask you the question. I don't break the law so I've never in my life asked for anyone's help. Go have another drink.
@Dr fakee Dr fakee Uhhhh, you make 0 sense. You got triggered and started spitting thrash lmao

Have you bothered to do any research on George Floyd? Check out his criminal past? Official cause of death? Cardiac arrest caused by heart disease, Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine. The stress of the restraint was most likely the catalyst.
Or have you bothered to check what the protocol was for the kind of restraint Chauvin was performing?
I have...Chauvin did not break protocol. Criminals repeatedly feign things like "can't breathe" and "this hurts" to try to get out of their situation.
Why is everyone making a martyr out of a career criminal?
He wasn't innocent.
Do I think the protocol for restraint should be adjusted if a pulse cannot be found and the suspect being retrained is unresponsive? Yes.
Do I think Chauvin intentionally killed Floyd?
No, I do not.
So I will be labeled a racist because I have a different opinion.
My opinion is not born out of racism but out of logic and reason.
If the tables were turned (and has happened repeatedly...for instance, Breonna Taylor) my opinion goes the other way.
If I can see irrefutable facts (which the majority of the public are not privy to) it would make things infinitely easier to draw a conclusion.
@@returntozero2112 why do you guys try so hard to defend the undefendable? Regardless of if he had drugs in his system and if he had a heart condition, having a sorry ass excuse for an officer kneeling on your neck will severely speed things up. Yes, saying that you cant breathe has been used before. Thats should have beeb taken into account. George Floyd was not the first black man to say the same thing to a careless "officer". Same thing happened a few years back. I know George had a criminal record. I also know Chauvin also had a record for being a pos with other people. It wasnt the first time he had beem accused of using too much force. They literally killed a man over a false report of him paying with a fake $20 bill. Some people are just not meant to "serve" the community. I dont wish bad upon anyone but whatever happens to chauvin inside of prison will simply be karma. Not all cops are good cops. We need to stop glorifying ever guy with a badge on his chest. All I know is that I wouldnt want to be in a position where my son, my child, my parent, my sibling, or anyone close to me for that matter was killed by a cop for no reason other thst to fill his power hungry ego. So he is sentenced for taking a criminal off the streets? A man who in the past was shown pointing a gun at a pregnant woman’s stomach? Jeez man.
We do not care
So if you do something wrong someone should kneel on your neck for nine and a half minutes?
Seems odd how calmly he accepted the verdict.
Did you expect him to flail around or cry?
He was calm because he knew hes innocent.
@@48airuins40 dumb comment. An innocent person would be freaking out on the inside.
@@TheseEyesSeeDarknessClearly7 yes, like I've seen in many other cases here on RUclips.
@@48airuins40 🤡
He got wayy to light of a sentence this is an absolute outrage. They are most likely with the way the system is set up in the favor of law enforcement that he will be eligible for parole in 5-10 years and then he can get most of his sentence reduced for good time this is an absolute disgrace to our justice system as a whole and what we represent as a nation. This man should be locked up with life in prison with no chance of parole, people are idolizing him like he is some kind of hero when he was a cop who misused his power and over stepped his place when he decided to kneel on a mans kneck knowing full well that the man was suffocating and begging him to get off of his neck. He knew exactly what he was doing and for anyone to give this man who is a blatant murderer a light sentence of 22 years is absolutely foolish. This man deserves no sympathy and no mercy for the act he has committed taking someone’s life. If you let him off easy then you are just proving to the next guy that he can get away with the same thing. Lock him up with life in prison with no chance of parole and throw away the key for that loser.
well said 👌👌
I'm going to step on someone's neck ok?? Any volunteers come on don't be shy.. step up to the plate 💥 all I can say is disgraceful should have at least got 30 years. RIP Mr Floyd
True he isnt a human
He should of got to just go home he dident do anything wrong
He was a police officer so we'll give him 22 years but keep the sentencing brief Don't want to make them look even more like a POS meanwhile I'm looking at some of these people who got arrested for a bag of weed and spent more time than he his
i hope the inmates will take care of Chauvin 🙂
Hes already dropping the soap, ya know what happen
@@AntiPenjajah so he will clean the floor then?
He serves 5 years released on good behavior
I dont think you get time off for good behavior when youre in for murder... either way your math is way off, he's gonna serve at least half before he can even think about getting out. Add in the fact that there will be strong pressure from the public to keep him locked up... they're not going to parole him that quick
Hope's so 👍
Should be life
I can almost guaranteed doesn’t even do any time and he’s an agent. It’s called ‘The World’s Stage’ for a reason.
Cheers
If he does, he and his family better go into hiding. Or at least fly to a red state. Lol
Judge you based it completely on public opinion.
LMFAO no he didn't. That's not how the law works. Quit being sensitive.
@@larrywilliams9368 hello Larry. I think the media(social media etc .. plays a huge role in society now. Even you have a platform who would have been just another worker bee like the rest of us. The only thing sensitive about me is my armpits, the fucking heat destroys me with a rash
@@larrywilliams9368 So you abide by the law? Once upon a time it was law to kill people who aided and abetted runaway slaves. You a racist?
Youre dumb. You can look up charts that will say that is normal sentencing

should have gotten a 5 year probation.
Poor family 🙏💕
Political prisoner.
😂😂😂Derek chauvin is not a political prisoner
Painful
Dont they usually handcuff the criminal after a guilty conviction?
RELEASE HIM NOW
🤡🤡🤡
What are you gonna do break him out of jail With C.4
This whole thing freaks me out cause me personally I heard there was already personal problems between the 2 before the incident and when it started george resisted and yes it was over fake money but still he made it very difficult like HE HAS BEFORE yet Derek choosing 2 ignore the fact of him not breathing is wrong because george if he had stuff in his system or not Derek made sure that he wasn't getting back up. George from what I've read was not a good dude..he held pregnant women at gunpoint yet now we have statues. What I said is something I feel not many feel yet I've heard these facts just people pick and choose cause at end of day It is not my intent to offend or disprove peoples opinions or thoughts but simply to show information on it.
Well I read Chauvin had some history of police brutality and unnecessry use of force and really liked the knee on the neck so it's about time the law told him his power didn't have anything to do with that kind of action!
@@paintpalo5785 i mean he deserves the punishment whether that's true or not imo
The pregnant lady thing was just a rumor.
@@user-hg6dz4gm9p I read from multiple places that he did that and went to jail 4 it.
@@user-hg6dz4gm9p Not a rumor. 100% true. He went to jail. He should have gotten 30+ years.
UNBELIEVABLE
He should of gotten life, you take a man’s life, you get yours taken, but thenn again, there’s no telling if this was a accident or not, so if they did that, a lot of Americans would be mad
The judge is the real MVP!
They should lock him in Level 6 of Impel Down.

He deserves to be locked up...so many cops get away with a lot. At Least one got served for doing wrong.
