@@zacfarro8678well I mean if u have like a direct drive the wheel can rotate much faster and you can feel the ground much better allowing u to make split second and more accurate decisions
Wow all that crazy speed without any preparation on the first try! I could never do that! Imagine what the speed will be when you drive that again, and 3rd and 4th time too!
No matter how much you praise his driving skills. You can't compare real rally drivers. Because real life rally are much more intense and pressure. I know that I have no experience whatsoever in rally racing *BUT* if you make one mistake, it could be either fatal or minor. Maybe like crashing into **cough** fans that is near the road or a crash that could be a life-threatening to you or Co-Driver.
Surprisingly enough, I know how and when to drift through corners... This guy's next level tho, especially in 0:42 I tried to do the same thing, I almost nailed it but ended up drifting too much...
This is Collin McRae. One of the greatest rally car drivers in the world. He's the reason why the blue coloured, gold wheeled Impreza is a global icon.
I would recommend modifying the steering wheel's steering ratio to a tighter, more sensitive one like the 550-540 one seen in game. You wouldn't have rotate the wheel as much, and you're not left spinning the wheel like a madman whenever you go into/get out of a drift.
Know someone that has one of those steering wheel and chair things. Took up most of his bedroom. He tried to show it off as if it was the coolest thing ever. Might have been if he was 15 but he’s in his late 40s. I can’t watch these videos that show the person at the wheel without thinking the whole thing is a more than a bit sad, trying to drive like it’s the real thing - which it isn’t.
@@Sir_Whammy I don't want to turn it off, I want it to move exactly like the real wheel. The even first PCars and Asetto could do it easily , but Codemasters relasing 2-3 racing games every fckn year sice 2009 still can't do it. They are sooo lazy like EA, never doing more that is enough for people to buy it. Some of their ps1 games had more content than their present games, like hot seat, online rally (not only rally cross), split screen, etc.
@@Nago15 This depends on steering wheel rotation being set. If the guy playing set 540, it would move exactly the same as ingame (and be more realistic).
If you have the ball's try it in real life, but remember that sometimes you don't get a continue second chance of anything. Remember rally drivers are suicidal and the co driver is the poor bastard that has to put his life on the line telling the driver to brake and turn when he's heading straight towards a tree or cliff!.
@@eathstrke4016 I've rolled a few times and come out with only a few bumps and scratches. There's so much safety gear on your car that it's not so dangerous. It still can be on certain courses though since the terrain could be very hazardous if you come off-track. Also I've had stones jump in my cockpit more than a few times which have really fucking hurt. And if I had a branch or something else come through my windshield, that's something. I only drive at around 40-60mph, wrc drivers usually pace double that. I wouldn't be so confident in my safety crashing at 120mph. Saying that it may not be so dangerous for me, but spectators are genuinely suicidal. I've never seen any spectator fatalities, but I've seen a few bad injuries. Also for some reason I've seen it a few times where there's a car or a tractor on the course. And one time there was a cyclist. That makes things dangerous for everyone. So while you're right in that crashing is not as dangerous as you think, it's still a comparatively dangerous sport. There's a lot more that can go wrong in rallying which can turn things very dangerous.
Can you give me some tips?.. :s I'm playing with a wheel too, but with the automatic gear shift. maybe manual be better to have more control on the car, engine can't overrev with lower gears... I dunno
Very good, but 0:43 Every rally driver knows to never take both hands off the wheel haha. Not even for a tenth of a second. Of course it's just a game so you don't have to worry about that. But just figured like pointing it out.
Have you though about upgrading your wheel/pedal/shifter setup or are you still happy with the G29? Do you wish you'd have got something else in retrospect?
Yeah I am planning on upgrading. Don't get me wrong the g29 is good for the money but after like almost 5k hours of usage, I'm wanting to get a wheel with a bigger rim and a better gearbox.
@@Xpertgamingtech Do have any plans on what to get? I'm looking at Fanatec myself. I think you should spend some good money on it if you can, considering you know you'll get so much use out of it :)
