Which view do you use while driving ? This one or the cockpit view. Even i hate the cockpit view and this view is much easier to drive. Any inputs guys ?

I'm an idiot but , Probably be like someone playing some far advanced VR&AR footage of some starship flying through an asteroid field but the starship is actually real and the guy is just piloting it in his space pod, or something. 200 years times.
This is by far one of the best looking racing games graphically to date like wow. Secondly, that first hairpin you hit at around 0:45 was straight up art my goodness. I replayed that section like 4 times. I wish I could have a handbrake so I could do that easily. So hard to do on console with no proper handbrake. You make this game look way to easy haha. But seriously nice driving.
You could gain a few more seconds on high jumps. When the car is high in the air, release the gas pedal slightly, then press the moment wheels touch the ground. You'll have a more stable control over your car landing and gain a light boost ;)... Works in real life racing too... Awesome driving btw!
My g29 finally just came in the mail a few hours ago, I’m having an absolute blast so far smile from ear to ear and it just won’t go away every time I play 😂
It'll be nice to see true dynamic terrain someday (some a computer can handle it). Sadly car games never capture what the cars really feel like. I've been building Subaru's for about10-years and have done a few races, minor hill climbs, autocross, track days, and two dirt track races (autocross style). Games always feel the same. At the same time, I can't picture a way games could reflect how weight, springs, tires, and terrain make a car behave. Here's for wishful thinking. VR games that have a car that drives like a car.
@@ErgoProdigy there is a game, that requires very basic pc, named mud runner. With soviet trucks in the forest. It has the best terrain deformation to date. Try it. Too bad the game is kinda slow and too "sticky", but the game engine could deliver what we want :)
SUB13 customs - electric vehicles & green energy erm this does have track deformation, I’m guessing he’s playing early in the line up. If you went last you would notice much more interaction.
Who else watched the whole 4 minutes of this and was amazed at nearly how flawless this guy's driving was? Guy didn't even hit those trees or rocks on the sides while drifting (maybe just a bump and scrape on the fence at 01:45) and he's doing this on a manual stick shift too! That's just amazing!
@@mousy8340 The whole driveclub developers work in Codemasters now after they bought it. Their new game is Dirt 5 which is coming out soon but its more like an arcade game rather than a rally game like this. Similar to Dirt 2 and them good old days.
It never occured to me to swing the car out before a hairpin to have it swing back more the way you want to go. Learnt something in first 4 seconds. After 20 years of rally games. That was a near perfect run, I salute you! You could be drifting less but that would be even more suicidal.

Is the feedback turned off or something? I have this same setup (minus the homemade handbrake of course) and never even fathomed holding the wheel with one hand and the other on the shifter because the damn wheel moves way too much. And that wheel sure is whipping around pretty easily. I’m low key hating, but if you’re playing that shit legit then hats off, I’m impressed.
Noodle arms has nothing to do with it when you throw your wheel to speed and let go of it. Atleast on my Driving Force Pro if you try that the wheel just either centers too hard or jerks to where it wants to go.
I have the same wheel. Judging by the video, it looks like it's turned off. Either that, or very, very low centering spring force. Personally I prefer using paddles and full strength. I have gotten used to its rate of snapping back to center. It's more a case of catching it and pushing it further right as it's about to center.

A year late but, dirt and gravel grip is to the real world asphalt is not (feels like gravel, not enough grip compared to real world tarmac). The only asphalt stages are however located in Spain so it isn't that much of deal-breaker.
