The world of motorsport lost a true legend in January of 2023, with the devastating passing of Ken Block, aged 55.
It cannot be understated how much he did for rally. His Gymkhana videos and just general driving style truly made rally one of the coolest sports on the planet, at a time when it's probably fair to say it was starting to struggle.
RIP #43, thanks for everything.
Monetisation of this video was originally turned off from 0 - 1.3 million views. It is now turned on as of 03 Oct 23, but the revenue it makes will be donated monthly to various charities including the Ken Block foundation. Proof of these donations will be posted on my community tab :)

I still am in disbelief that we lost ken, he was such an inspiring soul and always had a heart of gold on him no matter where he went... may he rest in peace with the rest of the legends and rip her up in heaven like hes been doin all his life...

@@exitoz1396 I was around him a few times at ARA events and he often seemed agitated but I don't hold it against him. I assume it was mostly due to frustration from wanting to win and probably lack of sleep from doing all of the things he did at once. Those that followed him did so for his driving skills, not his personality.
@@KevBacon6 Driving skills idk he was slow in Rally and was not much better during his run in Rally Cross. He could play with the car and thats it. Im glad pastrana is doing it know, much better driver and a better person

Mia Taylor also a fan of Ken Block, so thats very surprising that she shell shocked after Ken Block was dead in February 2023 due to fatal snowmobile crash in Oregon, USA.

That 360 through the warehouse was insane haha, I've played rally games on and off since colin mcrae on ps1. I live in Utah so when I heard about Kens passing I bought dirt 2.0, wrc 9/10 and got RBR on the pc. I've been unequivocally obsessed with rally games since the beginning of the year. He definitely inspired me, a total rpg nerd, to dive full on into rally again. RIP ken

@@purwantiallan5089definitely. I had a feeling it was going to get the typical EA treatment. I don’t own it but I’ve seen a lot of feedback and don’t want to give ea my money. Still play the older wrc and dirt games a lot. Rally genre needs a lot more love

Well done. Been binge watching episodes of his in the past week. You could tell he was genuinely happy doing what he did for a living. He would be smiling while driving. And that said it all. He lived a life we wish we all could. RIP Ken. 🙏💙

I personally didn't enjoy the style and flash of gymkhana, but I still always appreciated the skill, precision, passion, and showmanship Ken Block demonstrated.

Personally I have never had the opportunity to see and know him since I live in Italy. he is a legend, a pioneer of motorsport and above all, as you could see in his videos, a person with a big heart.
He was the man who introduced me to the world of youtube in 2012/2013, it made me deepen my interest in cars, which I've been passionate about since I was a child, i can never thank him enough for what he left me.
I get sick just thinking about it.

I know nothing about the rally but I loved the sport because of him; I downloaded the first dirt rally game 3 months ago and I haven't opened it never because I wanted to try it when I'm free, then I tried it this week and loved it so wanted to see some sim racing content and sow this video; after watching it know I'm realizing were is Ken Block😥😥

Watching this great video again. Can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since Ken died.
When I heard of his passing, it reminded me of that of his big idol: Colin McRae. Both took everything out of the cars they drove and whenever they danced with danger, they got out of it unscathed. Only to die in terrible accidents (Colin in a helicopter, Ken on a snowmobile).
Hope Ken is having a great time up there with Colin, Henri Toivonen and Richard Burns.
Yeah hard to believe. I guess the only thing you could say is that they all lived life to the absolute maximum and I’m sure they didn’t have many regrets :)
