The funny thing with this video is that despite his awesome driving, he's only a couple of seconds above the split. Dirt has no mercy.

Bergi214 I believe what he meant is the way he goes flat out in the straights to transitioning in to the tight corners
it’s the best way to drive in rally, don’t depend on what you see, but rather what you hear. it makes it so much easier to anticipate corners and fly through them.

These games always have the best sound engines. Would love that level of sound quality in the realistic sims.

It most certainly isn't, but it does present itself that way. Great looking and sounding game nonetheless.
Ermin Hamidovic it is, it definitely can’t compete with other sim titles focused on track racing, but when it comes to rally its the best we get for now. (Excluding ngp RBR)

That was one hell of a drive. You even made a few massive cuts that would have made Colin proud. In a week where I've gone back to play the Subaru from the original Colin McRae Rally on the PlayStation, this has been a very apt and welcome video.

This guy is driving so fast the co-driver has to look behind to check which turn they just passed. Long live Subaru.
Of course, this is great driving, must be said. But more than all else, this made me appreciate the partnership between driver and co driver to be able to navigate such tricky terrain like this, at these speeds. Also, haven't games really come along since the PS1 :D

I'd of been in a tree by the 3rd corner... I have a love hate relationship with Dirt 2.0. Sometimes I feel like a driving god (all luck) then others the car is totally mangled by the first split lol.

I’m not DR 2.0 expert - only just got the game over the summer - but for anyone who has never personally played - LOL - you have no idea how hard this game is and how easy he is making it look. Good stuff!

Great driving! it's just why drive remotely, when u can drive from the cockpit too..
Cockpit cam doesn't actually give you the sense of how the car is handling, Peter Solberg himself has said that chase cam Is better as it gives him a sense of how the rear of the car is handling

George Tinsley the game itself is bad the graphics are nothing special and the physics aren’t good either. Dirt Rally is a better game

you miss the down shifting with acceleration, I mean when you have to brake and down shift like here 1:17, you have to accelerate while changing your gear, it will help you to brake with the motor too

The reason I absolutely love this game is because you have to actually focus and if you mess up in a race you’re screwed, I’m good at the game but this guy makes me look like a beginner
Same here bro. I was doing really good for my standards - no crashing, decent drifts and relatively fast but I only came 22nd 😂😂😭😭 I’m on the masters championship but still I thought I would’ve at least got 5th. Dirt Rally is just insane and I love it

I haven't played in a while, are the Scotland stages much different from the Wales ones?
It's like a mix between Finland and Wales, but with much more narrow roads and deep ditches/obstacles.

SS1 - Craigvinean (just north-west of Dunkeld)
SS2 - Drummond Hill (10:02) north-east end of Loch Tay)
SS3 - Errochty (15:20) (north-west of Loch Tummel)
SS4 - Drummond Hill2 25:50 (some parts of the stage the same as SS2 + different sections)
SS5 - Craigvinean2 35:05 (some sections the same as SS1 or reversed + some different roads).
This is better than I will ever do with a controller let alone with a wheel, pedals and manual transmission

Some people really dislike the lack of depth perception the cockpit view provides. It's just a preference thing.

Cockpit views in games are almost always horrid. Depth perception and the field of view always off from real life makes me hate it usually
@@justletmecomment6453 I can understand that, but personally it breaks the immersion too much for me if I'm with wheel unless I'm in cockpit view and my driving suffers quite a lot. With pad that really isn't an issue.
