Brings back memories. My first job was at the McDonalds near Six Flags Great adventure in the early 2000’s. What a 💩 show it was during that first summer, but I loved it.
At the last Maccas I worked at I would frequently call off if I had suspected I was going to be positioned in the kitchen for my entire shift. I got really good at estimating my station assignments for the day yet no one ever caught on or if they had ever said anything to me about it. 😂🤣
Being a former employee back in the 90's and looking back, I think the only thing with fries is that I feel staging the fries is not ideal until the time of order. I feel they are too subjected in their container to a loss of heat on all of the fries, whereas the heat lamps will keep all of the fries hotter in the main bin. 7 minutes is not a lot of time for fries.
Those fries on the apron of the fry station were driving me nuts. At least you finally cleaned up the left side. That’s probably why I couldn’t work fast food. I’d be wasting too much time on low-priority stuff.
Whoa.... What happened with the audio around 17:55? I was spacing and enjoying the POV, and then I noticed the audio started to muffle, like something was covering the mic. But I didn't know if that was an editing issue or just the mic getting covered.
You're doing a great job as always but I don't know about the oil, looks pretty dark to me, especially at 10:07 when you put these fries in, looks like motor oil. I don't know is that is the usual color because I know you put stuff like beef flavoring in there, but to me it seems like vegetable oil should not have this color. And if it does it means that it is old. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I have a few questions about McD hiring and working practices: Anyone who never worked, would anyone working there required a food license? Does it cost the employee to get the license to work at any fast food? Are the employees 'assigned' to one specific work duty like the fry guy, strictly ONLY fries, or do they get rotated to different duties once a week, once a month? Are they required to purchase their own uniforms? How does the employers work with autistic or handicapped employees, in hiring and working with them? (Are they good with them, patient with them more than a "normal" person would be? or stick them with low totem pole jobs for however long they work there, never to be working as a line or fry guy or cashier?
Is the amount of salt put on the fries regulated in some way? Because Mcdonalds fries are my favorite fry. However sometimes they feel unseasoned. Mcdonalds fries are my favorite fry but you either get tasty salty fry, or you get some cardboard that nobody wants.
Unfortunately, this is my sign to call off of work at McDonalds tmr 😭 Im sick and i don't want to be by the cold window all day, coughing on the food, and blowing my nose constantly 😬
In my city, I appied at mcdonalds and never got a call back. I had no prior experience. I am also a 16 year old male and I am from Canada. Any tips why they never hired me?
Full boxes of fries that are actually fresh from McDonalds? What sorcery is this? Even if they have me hold in the drive-thru because they're waiting on fries they never taste fresh - and good luck getting the container more than half full. And the kids size fries might have five in it if you're lucky.
