Pretty sure the mod you we're talking about at 14:50-ish was an old friend of mine. He was at EVO 2016 and had his TES+ done up by you, I remember him telling me it took quite a long time. Small world, and funny I ran into this video.
FYI I just installed UFB-UP5 and it worked fine with this mod however you did need to unplug the j2 cable so you could hook up the UFB-UP5 which is not really a problem since the J2 header was for future expansion that was never implemented.
Hi Jason, thank you for your awesome videos very much obliged, just wondering if theres an upgrade kit for the tes plus that has the fusion or ps5 kit? And if you do have it can you please send me the link. Many many thanks and wish u the very best
Can you add the retroboard on top of the UFB with your Madcatz TES+ EZ MOD? Do you know your to put an ethernet out on a TES+ because I've only seen ethernet to snes, hey let me know
love these videos, just curious, for the PS4 sticks, the touch pads all come with that thin ribbon cables, how does one connect that to the Brooks UFB without something like the EZ mod? for example the Hori Pro N, there is no such ez mod board, thanks in advance
They aren't that bad... but many touch pads pass their "click" function through it and that could be an issue for PS4 users. I mean, you aren't going to solder wires to an FFC and tap the signal lines; so that could be a problem.
yea i see, so for now you're saying something like the ez mod has to exist for PS4 sticks with the FCC to be connected to the brooks? without it, you just have to give up that touchpad function?
If I wanted to use a Kaimana mini led board with this I would just need to place it in between the 20 harness and the UFB pcb right? Or does the pass to the separate board for the buttons affect that in any way?
mason richey - you’d need to remote mount the Kaimana Mini. There isn’t enough room under the case plastic for the mini to fit. Additionally, the ufb comes with right angle 20 pin connectors.
Hey man, can I just use the EZ mod without the brooks board? I have a converter to use ps4 sticks on Xbox one anyways so if I can avoid the extra money that would be dope!
Man i've been waiting on this my TES+ is my favorite stick to use!

You can't. You need to adapt the FFC to something else, so it would require some sort of PCB.
hmmm okay i see, do you find that FFC connection kind of a hinderance?

BobbyHillisKewl - no, that’s not how the EZ MOD works. The brook board is the brain of it, without it it doesn’t do anything.
Will the EZ MOD be back in stock?
Already on sale, I already ordered a set, and you?
Will this work with the brook wireless board instead of the UFB?
If you change a couple of headers and drill a hole to mount the antenna, it should.
Would I have to resolder the connectors like you show here to make it fit? Is there like an adapter or something that would work for that instead?
@@jordonp - Desolder / Resolder or get very creative with cutting some plastic in the case to make it fit.
Thanks!
Will the brooks UFB work on Nintendo switch?
kmart014 yes it does!
Jasen Hicks will the brooks ufb support led buttons?
kmart014 it itself doesn’t do anything for leds but common led controllers work with it.
