I'm no pro gamer. Hell, I'm hardly a gamer at all lately. This would be the perfect option for me if I were ever to decide to build my own arcade stick for SFV, SamSho, DBFZ, or whatever. Good vid, Alan! Thanks!
I Wonder why the official product website doesn’t mention the possibility to connect a power bank. Only the use of ps3/ps4 battery packs are mentioned to connect internal.
I know this is an older video but hope you see the comments. I am looking to build a new arcade stick and want wireless as the #1 priority. Using an external battery as you did here seems like a great idea as I have many of those for my photography equipment, but when you connect it to a console directly will the console power it? If so I think I'd just use the external battery and never have to worry about power, or battery life. But if the console does not power it, then it would make it impossible to do the initial paring as needed for many systems. The official docs for it say nothing about external battery use, but it does say "battery needed for wireless" so that indicates that it works fine wired without the battery. The other thing I want to do is make "the ultimate multi console build" as the secondary priority, I am thinking of putting both the brook ufb and the brook wireless in the same arcade stick. In this setup, I wonder if I directly use the wire harness to say the UFB and then take the wire terminal strip and wire that to the second board, I think that should create the most seamless wiring, then make sure common power and ground are connected. Have you tried anything like this?
Rather late question, but are the screw holes actually in the same place as the Brook UFB? Trying to figure out if this works with the UFB EZ Mods, and it's hard to find info on this.
Mr. Sujano is it true that if i want to use a battery lithium polymer 2000 mah from adafruit that i must remove the cables from the plastic harness and inverse the red and the black cable (power and ground) and put the back in the harness, whilst a ps3 dont need to be reversed?
Thanks for watching! Out of the box I didn't run any update. Brook is known for creating updates to fix any issue that may be caused by a console system update. Sometimes they add new compatibility to the board as well.
I want to install this in my hori rap N but i dont want to lose the touchpad click ability. i am not interested in the swipe motions only the click. Is there a way i can connect the click of the touchpad to another button?
good stuff man. Im looking to get one of these to put in my hitbox i scored on offerup for 50 bucks. i do have some questions though. I dont wanna use the headphone jack/connector that is provided, i heard from the ps4 brooks those break pretty easy. So i have an idea for one with a usb type c connetor. i dont mind losing the headphone capabilities since i use my rig with my atros or my razer headphones. i just wanna make sure I can plug in through the usb b side to connect the brooks to the usb b like the original brooks.
A serious players uses a monitor and sits pretty close to it, so this doesn't really make sense to have it wireless...apart from the lag. maybe its interesting for casual players but it probably will be too expensive... nice review tho'

Sorry for any jitter in the video. I recorded it in 4k and my computer couldn't handle it.
Remember to update your firmware! Brook just released new firmware for the board, adding in PC Xinput wired support...and a brand new tournament mode

Thanks for the informative video. One question- do you run into issues with not having a button for the touchpad in many games?
Thanks for watching! I don't normally use the touchpad, so it's not an issue for me.
So what kind of wires did you uses, and what size were they?
Can this pcb also be used like a hitbox with four movement buttons?
Was it okay leaving the breakout board without being screwed in? Or did it fall out a lot?
If using an internal ps4 battery does a rocker switch need to be installed on the battery wire to yurn the board off?
Can I use a brooks wingman converter and use this PCB with Xbox and ps5 using a cable ?
What is the diameter of the button you removed to place the USB card with Audio ? 24mm or 30mm ?
2:45 - The epic troll. 😂

Nice review !!!
Quick question do you need to run any software update for this?
Thanks for watching!

will this work wirelessly on a PC?
I want to install this in my hori rap N but i dont want to lose the touchpad click ability. i am not interested in the swipe motions only the click. Is there a way i can connect the click of the touchpad to another button?
A bit late but yes! There is a "TP" (touchpad) port to connect a button for touchpad clicking
Can this be modded to use on ps5?
Does it plays on Xbox One ?

One of the bonuses is that it also works wired. For pricing, it sits right in between the PS4+ and UFB
@@MrSujano that is a nice feature.
People aren’t only using these boards and fight sticks for fighting games. Very popular setup for shmups
Does anyone know where to get the slider switch for the LS/DP/RS connections?
