    Instead of buying a fight stick i want to make my fight stick.
    This video cleared up and informed me on a lot!

    Thank you so much!

    I've built both my fightsticks using the Brooks PCB. Very nice choice! I did use the usb neutrik port for mine so cables are tugged. Definitely recommend it. Either way, great video! I love building/modding fightsticks.

      Undead Kaiju to be honest, I should have picked up a port. I thought I had one already sitting around somewhere, but I was wrong. Ah well! I might add one on to my next order from FA. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    You could've just drilled a 24mm hole and used a Neutrik USB passthrough for the cord. You'll get a detachable cable and prevent possible damage to the board.

    @5:00 was pretty funny. You're only supporting the board whenever the box is upside down, which it should never be. ^_^ ^_^

    I wouldn't suggest daisy chaining all of the buttons together like that. There's a reason why these boards come with 4+ ground connections, so you could daisy chain different groups of buttons. Daisy chaining too much can create button priority issues preventing simple inputs like 3P or 3K.

  • @mackstertube
    @mackstertube 5 лет назад

    You could use a screw and cable tie to attach the cable to some stand off's and kind if loop it to give some slack as well so if pulled it had that give. Plus also use the selectively tape.
    You could use like a black grommet where the cable comes out of the box. Split it then glue together once around the cord if you can't first slide it on. That gives a really neat professional appearance.

  • @falconxblast

    Just recently I upgraded my stick to use the Brook universal fighting board. The biggest difference on mine, I didn't buy a USB A to USB B cable to plug into it, I re-used the existing pre-molded cable and just slipped it onto J6-1 - Black, Green, White, Red - super easy and that cable is already designed to be secure and stay in place (the Brook website has way more detail about the board than the little sheet of paper it ships with).

  • @jdom2006to2012

    I myself use expandable cord and make my own ends with quick disconnects. Or you can simply get wire loom and use that to kinda have a clean wiring setup. For that USB I typically make a knot on the inside so if its gets jerked it won't come put as they knot prevents it. I also would have tried a piece if wood or plexi with pcb stand offs that way u can have clearance room and a solid base to tack it down on.

      It really depends if input latency is important to you. If it isn't an Ultimarc IPAC4 will do all 4 players on one board.
      There are much better boards out now that are way cheaper than Brooks, like a Pico Fighting Board or GP-2040-CE.
      With these low latency boards I would only bother using 2 boards for player 1 and 2. For players 3 and 4 I would use a one board solution.
