Has anyone ever had the Xbox One mode (default mode on PC) randomly stop working? I was playing on my PC yesterday when all of a sudden the game stuttered, and my stick stopped working. I updated the firmware and reinstalled the device, but no luck. What's weird is that the stick still works on my PC if I force 360 mode by holding Fierce when I plug it in. My regular Xbox One controllers still work fine on my PC. This leads me to believe the Xbox One function of the PCB malfunctioned and left everything else intact, but I don't understand how that's possible.

The TE PCB is clearly labeled - just cut and splice the wires from the harnesses.

If you dont use a daisy chain for the ground, then do you just stick all the wires in that one screw hole?
+tofulo theoretically that will work but im notsure if you can jam all those cables in at the same time unless you use a higher gauge (thinner) wire..

I have a Qanba Q4. In order to use this, I have gut the PCB's out of there and use JUST THIS PCB? I'm assuming the answer is yes but just wanted to be sure. If so, what "mode" do I have to put my Qanba in for it to auto-recognize the system it's being plugged in to? The Qanba has a slider switch for 360/PS3 mode.
Yes. The mode switch won't work anymore since you swapped PCBs. You can remap the switch however it's not needed. There will be a software command to switch between dp, ls, and rs in the next firmware update.

My joystick doesn't have the 5 pin connection, it's standard quick connects just like the buttons. Will this board be useful?
beazydallas yeah just wire up direction inputs to the board and then just bridge all the grounds together on the stick and plug that into the ground.

David Yu yep it's a lot more responsive than stock pcbs especially in PS4 mode. How did the install go ?

I just got my fightboard in the mail and your installation video helped out a great deal. Thank you my friend. Quick question: When I hook it up to my PC, it's registered as an Xbox One controller, but from what I heard is that this causes some input lag on the controller. Did they eventually patch that out, because its kinda annoying to constantly manually set it to Xbox 360 mode.
when you plug it in just hold down 3P (fierce) to force it into 360 mode. Everytime i plug into PC i prefer the 360 mode as well.

NinjaRed5000 yeah it defaults to xboxone one on windows 10. It's due to the plug and play logic on the firmware. Keep in mind if you leave your stick plugged in it will remain in that mode.
It just boggles my mind that it causes input lag in Xbox One mode.
NinjaRed5000 that's not necessarily true. It really all depends on your motherboard / USB chipset. For instance on my diy desktop there's no lag difference between the 2 modes. However on my Asus ROG laptop there is lag. I just used to playing it safe and do the forced 360 mode. Test it out on your setup.
Can't find the dimensions of this board anywhere, any chance you could measure. Trying to figure out if it would fit in a Madcatz Brawlstick case. Thanks in advance.
It will definitely fit. Just installed one into a Madcatz SE case which later became the brawl stick. I used one of the posts where the original PCB went to screw it down and some hot glue to anchor it down.
I heard that forcing the PCB into 360 mode works best for PC functionality. I get that you press 3P for 360 mode, but I was wondering if you have to do this every time I want to use my fight stick, or just for when I plug it in? Thanks
It stays in 360 mode until unplugged. So if you leave your computer and stick plugged in your good.

Does this auto-detect PS4 through a cronusmax? I need to put in deadzones and sensitivity settings for analog control. Also, can L2/R2 be put in as digital or analog?
Does anyone know if you hold the Share and Option buttons together you'll get the PS MENU button. Just like the PS360+ PCB.

Yeah that should work. Just wire all the directions and ground.

No Xinput means Xbox - no need to install
Im planing in building my own joystick, and if works a MAme cabinet too, no experience whatsoever, outside of videos like yours, which will work fine,,, I hope. Anyways I want to go for a Crown CWL, with some silent Hayabusa buttons in a Tek-Case S1-B, went everywhere looking for a PCB for ps4/pc withoutimeout till I found this,,, hHHHallelujah!

i tried installing this with an Mc cthulhu with the nuetrik and impv2 and so far everything works except the xbox one, any suggestion on how to fix that
I'm using this board for a hitbox mod. So I'm wondering if it's possible to screw the quick disconnects of the directional buttons into the board like the regular buttons. Would this work?

Ps360+ requires a lot more work to get it to work on Xbox one and ps4 support only works for 8 minutes before having to unplug and plug the arcade stock back in this works for everything usb related out of the box

i have a question about the usb you use to hook it up to any of the consoles. dows the same usb work for multiple consiles? or do i need a special one for each pc, ps4 and xbox 360?
all the consoles i used in this video take the standard USB A connector. i used the same cable.
Could you feel the latency improvements?
UFB is the faster and most consistent board that I’ve personally tested. I’ve tried the other “faster” boards but in my real world tests, the UFB has always been better. Check out my recent video showcasing the GamesCare PCB and you’ll see what I mean.
@@jonyfraze I picked one up, and I picked up the upgrade for the PS five. Even with the extra chipset installed, it’s still extremely more fast than my Brook board that came with my Omni
what is the j9 part of the board for and how does it work with the rest of the pcb

Hold down 3P to force into 360 mode while connecting . Either way both are xinput.
I have a stick that also includes several additional elements, such as a LS/DP switch, a turbo button and even a macro button (which I intend to turn into L3/R3 buttons anyway). What do I need to solder those to the board?
Just need to find the contact points and groundf or those button inputs and solder to the board..

+Carlos Andrés Solís I guess you would need a multimeter to check for connectivity between the buttons and the current PCB points. Other than that just do a good job soldering..

Yeah I do it all the time when friends come over. The UFB shows up as xinput controllers.
Hi! I was wondering how you selected the different game console modes? do you use a combination of buttons to switch between Xbox 360, Xbox one, ps3 ps4, and pc? And how do you know what mode youre currently using?
It auto detects but if you look at the documentation you can force console modes by holding down a button while connecting
I don't have the UFB in hand at the moment but its currently in the mail headed my direction.
I have another question. The diagram for the UFB has a J2 connector, is it for the joystick? If it's for the joystick, can I plug the 5 pin connector directly into J2 connector instead of the J3?

Is it a hassle to install this in a Round 1 TE? How do I wire up the HOME button and the usb cable? Do I have to solder them to the pcb?
It's basically plug and play. You do have to solder into the main control panel to access home.
What wire did you use between the PCB and the Neutrik pass-through. Making my own stick and it's the last thing I need.
TheTankTN standard USB "A to B" cable aka a printer cable. Monoprice sells em cheap. Get a short one for the internal wire. The longer the cable, the less reliable it is.

are you talking about the new sound board? this video is about the UFB. Look at the date i was one of the original testers.

You can hold left + start for 5 seconds to change the joystick to Left Analog. Real question: Why would you play battlefield on a stick though?

KRIS B you can bridge the PCBs. Just make sure ground and power are connected. You can switch USB cables or use a DPDT switch to toggle between PCBs. Good luck

I started having the 8minute timeout on my Brook PCB barely today on 04/06/16. The first couple of days it was fine till today. Does anyone know how to update firmware on the new Brook pcb, I tried going to the Brook site and downloading but I was having issues. Help is greatly appreciated!
Update will be out tomorrow on brook's website. Be patient. The Sony update is less than 24 hours old. Give them time to patch and test it. - Edit: update is posted on brook's website
If I buy a new stick, lets say the Qanba Crystal that's coming out in December, is this PCB the only thing I need to buy for all system compatibility?
Sean Livingston yup if your comfortable soldering to get all the functionality and unless you want to swap the parts for better quality ones. The buttons and stick are Qanba branded (sub par) and not Sanwa.
Jon Bonilla Ahh, so this board was specifically made to work with Samba Parts? So if I bought the TE2 Tournament edition, I would not need to solder?
Sean Livingston it doesn't matter what parts you connect to the pcb. But just letting you know that the new Qanba stick doesn't use the standard parts that most "pro" level sticks use. They are considered "B" grade compared to Sanwa, Seimitsu, or the newer Horizon Kuro parts.

Sean Livingston yeah I wouldn't recommend it if you've not familiar with modding. Or possibly have someone that is help you out. Check out brook's super converters though. For instance if you need xboxone compatibility you can just buy the PS3/PS4 - XBOXONE converter.
Ive gotten this pcb but i havent been able to get it running on my ps4, on pc it detects it but not my ps4. You made it look so simple but yet i followed what you did still can't make it work.
It really is that easy. Did you do all the firmware updates? Are you hitting home when you connect it? If not the above and everything is connected properly something is wrong with your board.
I have two pcb's so atleast one should work. I would say maybe i wired them wrong but my pc is picking up the inputs correctly, but when i try to update it for the ps4 it doesnt recognize the buttons.
Sadly I don't think I'm getting an Xbox One, and my laptop is not powerful enough for Killer Instinct, so I'm gonna have to pass on this. Since I'm planning on getting either a Wii U, or, if its true, a Nintendo NX, I might save up for one of their converters instead of a brand new PCB. Still, I salute Brook for providing all of these cools gadgets.
You just need more RAM to run your Killer Instinct. Or do you own a very old laptop which has certain limitations of the tech?
Actually, at this point I just got a new gaming laptop with 12 gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 970m graphics card and Intel i7. So now I do have KI, but since it's via the Xbox app, I can't use my fightstick, instead using third party software to use it
