19:12 I actually have the historical reasoning that I’ve read about before Essentially white was seen as a rich person color and that wearing it outside of the Labor Day season meant you had the money to keep your white clothes pristine and clean and it also was a sign of not having to work hard
When Molly is licking James' toes, you can see how uncomfortable the poor woman holding her is. She's just got that 'I so don't want to be here right now' face.
I remember seeing the name for this and was trying to remember why it sounded familiar and i realized it was because i had a whole time researching girl bands in the 90s, including L7, for a story idea i had last year lmao
The way I understood the white after Labor Day was an English tradition, that when common people started to be able to afford white clothes, the elites made an agreement to not do it. To show what class someone was if they wore white after Labor Day. But who knows. lol
Unlikely, since Labor Day is a US holiday originating in the 19th century, and has never been a thing in the UK. I'm British and never even heard of the tradition until I watched Serial Mom (I was very confused by the whole courtroom scene as a result). As far as I know it's very much an American thing.
22:50 You know, I always think about how the To The Numbers bits play context less in the yearly montage and this one seems like it's going to be a weird one.
I know Cathleen Turner as the title character from the BBC's radio adaptation of the VI Warshawski novels. It's so weird seeing her play so differently, quite opposite the hard-nosed, smoking, Chicago city slicker, unmarried, private investigator.
18:36 Not the first bit of on stage antics by Donita of L7. One of her and the band’s most famous antics is throwing a used tampon into the crowd at the 1992 Reading Festival.
Great video as always, Dead Meat crew. Also, yes, Sex World IS a real movie. Its a hardcore parody of West World, where the resort matches people with robots to best help "solve their individual problems." Its surprisingly good.

19:12 I actually have the historical reasoning that I’ve read about before
Essentially white was seen as a rich person color and that wearing it outside of the Labor Day season meant you had the money to keep your white clothes pristine and clean and it also was a sign of not having to work hard
21:25 this really does sound like something Miss puff would say
We just need a cop fish to go “Tell it to the judge”
11:58 That part was really funny. I love Waters's line delivery.
5:44
You know that you gonna have a bad day when Shaggy is mocking you
This is one of my favorite movies of all time and I’m SO happy it finally got a Kill Count! Thank you James 🙌🏻
I didn’t know a Mother could be a serial killer 😂
Lowkey missed out on covering Psycho but hopefully the franchise can get covered one day
Her concerned face watching the dog lick his toes at 23:02 is killing me
Poor Chelsea and Molly.
And my sanity!
@@marymartin2154 That's not Chelsea lol
The fact that I just heard James saying “gooning at the wheel” is mind blowing to me.
Considering he just passed away, now might be a good time to do an extended series of Kill Counts on Roger Corman's Poe Cycle
They don't consider comment recommendations, email them if you want to be heard
When Molly is licking James' toes, you can see how uncomfortable the poor woman holding her is. She's just got that 'I so don't want to be here right now' face.
Lol the I don't get paid enough for this expression
"Sigh, being an intern suuuuucks..."
I remember seeing the name for this and was trying to remember why it sounded familiar and i realized it was because i had a whole time researching girl bands in the 90s, including L7, for a story idea i had last year lmao
James A. Janisse picked the right horror movie to cover for Mother's Day today.
This was the first DVD I ever owned… at the ripe old age of 7! My mother nearly turned into “Serial Mom” when she found it…
JAMES PLZ NEVER STOP THIS CHANNEL AND PLZ KEEP MAKING THESE VIDEOS!!!!!
Poor Molly 23:06
Wait, Did You Make A Sleepwalking Camp: Unhappy Campers Reference?
I never expected to hear a Suit Life of Zach and Cody reference in a kill count but I love!
I never knew this day would come
The way I understood the white after Labor Day was an English tradition, that when common people started to be able to afford white clothes, the elites made an agreement to not do it. To show what class someone was if they wore white after Labor Day. But who knows. lol
I mean it does kind of make sense that a seemingly arbitrary fashion rule was dictated by a bunch of rich assholes.
I’ve heard it my entire life 😂 I think it’s just a joke at this point
Unlikely, since Labor Day is a US holiday originating in the 19th century, and has never been a thing in the UK.
I'm British and never even heard of the tradition until I watched Serial Mom (I was very confused by the whole courtroom scene as a result). As far as I know it's very much an American thing.
@@aziraphaleangel Ok, fair enough. These things always have more than one origin story.
3:22 SHAGGY AND WILLIAM and MRS. PUFF!!
Literally one of my favorite films! Happy Mother’s Day to every type of mom 💕
5:27 Get Out has just forever changed how people say suberb and I couldn't be happier about it
Man james, you've just been KILLING it, i am so proud of you guys for just not only improving but also staying strong through everything. Good job.
6:40 Absolutely loved the phone call scene and subplot with Kathleen and Mink, I keep going back to watch just because it’s my favorite scene.
I love the idea of someone advertising products to victims at knifepoint. It's like the first draft of a Black Mirror episode idea.
The sandwich Mrs Jenson is having is a lamb and mint jelly sandwich they are often that green and mint goes well with lamb.
18:36 Not the first bit of on stage antics by Donita of L7. One of her and the band’s most famous antics is throwing a used tampon into the crowd at the 1992 Reading Festival.
Those were the days. LMAO The L7 scene was my fave especially the close up shot of their pants had me laughing so hard at the theatre😂😂😂😂
Great video as always, Dead Meat crew. Also, yes, Sex World IS a real movie. Its a hardcore parody of West World, where the resort matches people with robots to best help "solve their individual problems." Its surprisingly good.
Nice! Beat me to it by an hour. I got SW on laserdisc.
Um shut up
I am so happy this episode came out when it did bc it put Serial Mom on my radar. I just watched it with my friends and we loved it so much!
“I recommend waiting tables over being kidnapped by terrorists” is an ICONIC line
“Honey they missed autumn big time” 😂😂😂 that’s one of my favorite jokes from Zack and Cody!
Molly looked so confused at the end there. Perfect unintentional comedy.
Underrated horror comedy.
Your channel has been a favorite of mine and I believe will remain in my heart for years to come! Thanks for the coverage, and fun!!!
So excited to see you cover this. It has always been one of mine and my moms favorite movie. We have a tradition where we watch it everytime we make our go-to pasta. It's so underrated.
I couldn't get past the Suit Life of Zach and Cody reference in the sponsored segment, lmaoooo, I'm still cry-laughing. 😭🤣🤣🤣
I never thought I’d hear James say goon
11:09 scream sounds familiar
Sergeant Newdeputy Anderson: He's Dead! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
R.I.P. Roger Corman. (Age 98) 😢😔😞🫡.
Bro is no one gonna talk about the meme guy literally being the paparazzi guy “NEVA GONNA GIVE YOU UP”
