Well I bought mine and they look really nice but the plates that screw i to the louvers are cheap and too short, they don't poke put others whole so I can put the nut on and they seller told me they don't make those parts so they can't send me longer one. It sucks

Didn't really affect much at all. Kind of like opening up blinds on a window and looking out.

Opened with no issues of touching the roof.
