Tomonaga wasn't as smart aa everyone thought he was... if I was approaching Midway and noticed all the planes in the air, radio silence or no radio silence, I'd be screaming "IT'S A TRAP!". What else could it be?

It was unseasonably cold, even for this time of year.
I don't believe for one minute that Ring did this on his own. I believe this was Mitchers idea and hugh blunder.

The title was true--until the Hellcat showed up, then the P-38, then the P-51. Those American fighters made the Zero look like a zero in the air, an un-armored gas tank easily blown up.
"The China Conflict"? Does the author mean the Japanese attack on China? lol, as they say, Sheesh!

Exactly how bad must you suck . To let the (poorly trained unskilled American pilots) put 4 of your aircraft carrier on the bottom in 1 day. To me this book and many others give Japanese pilot WAY to much credit. They were masters of the sucker punch for sure. Japan found out to late Torture may weed out the best pilots not produce them.
The American pilots in the Midway battle were very experienced compared the those pilots who fought in later battles.
