Bar far the best Rock Creek review I have seen. And I've seen most. I've been a Nissan guy since Datsun. With 9 cars from local dealership.....they like us. I just bought mine today. Same color and all. Cheers and thanks.
Thank you for the informative video showcasing the vehicle's capabilities as well as some of its shortfalls. For a family in need of a 3-row SUV, this OEM package may very well be the king of the cross-overs at this time.
Ive got the 2024 rock creek and im very very happy with it so far. Its way more capable then I actually thought it would be! Im a happy camper. Just sold my 21 ford ranger for this thing. :)
campe? yes that rock creek will do.... it cannot just do it in serious off road due to poor ground clearance. can't change the tire anymore to a bigger cause of poor distance from tire to mud guard, they should make more distance. or immitate the ground clearance of prado
... TY for this ... the tires really give this vehicle more range off road and I imagine one has to be smart about not push'n it too far ... good job Nissan ...
it would still be below 10 inches at just 9.7, and that's only if you're not airing down. It would get chewed apart on rocky roads with ledge drops and whatnot. I think it would still be very good for other conditions like snow but if you're lower than 10 inches of clearance even after a lift you are absolutely not an 'elite off-road rig'. All around off road rigs should be able to rock crawl to some degree, and as was mentioned this is just not built for it at all.
This is the review I was looking for. Well done. With Jeep and Ford capitalizing so well with the true off-roading crowd, and Toyota, Chevy, and Dodge having some capable rigs, it is sad that Nissan hasn't developed a next gen Xterra. I guess the Pathfinder is at least not the ridiculous, disappointing travesty that Chevy's Blazer turned out to be!
Nissan Pathfinder interior design and exterior design.Way much better than a cheaply built Toyota Highlander. Now it got 9-speed automatic transmission so I am going to order one for my family for holiday adventures.
I just did the same thing test drove, Highlander, Rav 4, Honda Pilot, and Kia Telluride… buy far the Pathfinder was the best choice faster, better looking, and $10k cheaper! Spend about $1500 on aftermarket accessories and we are having a blast
I wonder why Nissan doesn’t just bump the suspension an extra inch to 8.7. A Subaru standard clearance. I understand fuel economy, highway wind noise, and handling are impacted but for a rock creek edition this is a must. This awd system is so impressive for a mainstream crossover compared to a highlander or a pilot. Such a shame…
Don't get me wrong I think everybody knows this isn't a hard-core off roader but I think Nissan's Awd / 4wd system in the Pathfinder and the Murano is underrated. I know 1st hand after getting caught in Gatlinburg, TN in a out of nowhere snowstorm the Murano Awd is like a mountain goat. We were going past full size trucks and Jeeps that were stuck on the highway and we never even slipped. Wouldn't have believed it for nothing if I hadn't been driving. 😎💪💪👍👍🤙
I just traded in my Rogue with 4 AWD and never got stuck after 275K mi. Hit something hard and bent the frame, had to let her go. But I pick up the exact color and model as in the vid so I'm excited. Cheers.
Not surprising. There is a significant difference between offroad/rock crawling and moderate speed snow travel, with AWD vehicles with advanced traction control doing much better in the snow, but fairing poorly in slow speed rock crawling/loose gravel due to it’s inability to figure out what to do and apply appropriate power.
i would be amaze if they can immitate the ground clearance of prado, 10inches if im not mistaken.... prado has only 18 inches tire but with 10inches ground clearance, Im so amazed how they did it

Very nice vehicle in details, I have the 2023 and I am going through a series of mechanical problems that the dealers have not been able to repair, they have towed me almost twice a month and the Nissan warranty does not respond to me at all, if there is someone who can help me with a recommendation on how to return this vehicle please let me know, very bad vehicle I do not recommend it
Hi Ben. Really liking your channel. Your reviews are great. Was wondering if you think this Rock Creek would be able to do the 100 mile White Rim Road in Canyonlands. Especially with a 2" lift and slightly bigger tires. I know Suburus have done it. Just wasn't sure if your trail is similar that trail. Thanks.
All This New Nissan pathfinders actually doesn't makes sense lol because they're not meant for off roads & they went from 4x4 pathfinder to shopping mall pathfinder 🤢🤮
yes true. for mt trails with even surface rough roads will do. they should immitated the ground clearance of other cars that even having 18 wheels, still has good ground clearance, like that of prado
2:26 “Damage is just superficial.” 😂😂😂 You say that without seeing behind the plastic at all. It could have cracked or torn something behind the plastic. There might be serious damage. You don’t know because there is plastic in the way. lol.
You will need to air down on the beach which will bring that 7.7 inch ground clearance even lower. That’s not good especially in ruts. Once the axles get in the sand, you’re done for and will need to be pulled out. It won’t matter if you have the best 4x4 system. Simply put, it needs a higher ground clearance for driving in soft sand.
Have you tested the Subaru Outback Wilderness up that hill? Wondering how the Outback Wilderness compares to the Pathfinder Rock Creek. The only thing I don't like about the Subaru is the CVT.
@@elmatadormartinezify Nope. The Outback Wilderness has 9.5 inches and it has a front skid plate. It will most likely be much more capable than the Nissan off road.
@@johnperciballi4649incorrect. The Subaru's really really struggle going up these sandy steep cliffs. CVT gives out.....seen it happen to multiple Subaru's while offroading. Pathfinder does it like the steep hills are flat
I want somebody with a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk to try that sandy hill in rock mode and 4-Low. If it still can't make it up, that would be sad. As for Nissan, everyone is asking them for more ground clearance, but they won't do it.
I’m looking to buy this or the sl does the rock creek make more noise and drive and ride rougher on the main road ? Great video i really enjoyed it. Subscribe
Just bought mine (Rock Creek) today. The noise is nothing I wouldn't expect from a new/different vehicle. And adapted within 2 hours. You are adapting to a lot with a new vehicle. It drives great with 7 different modes. Mostly Sport for me. I have a lot of pot holes in the city so this will help. Cheers.
Good looking crossover thats capable for fake-light off roading, it's Nissan trying to make up for not making an Xterra anymore (when they still make the truck it is based on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Neat offering for moms who want something like an AT4 Acadia (meaning fake capability but a great look). Not saying it's a bad product, it's a great product in the market. I think the "king of the 3 row crossovers" as he said, still no substitute for a real off roader.
Too much AWD crap in vehicles these days. They need 4WD. Maybe a rear locker or at least an LSD and ability to full disengage any kind of traction control.
If you knew how to drive a little better you would have seen that if you would have just kept going your front left wheel would have came up on to the next hump and that would have given you a lot more ground clearance by the time you're back tire hit you would have been home free!
The new package is definitely not for off-roading; it's more for aesthetics and is equipped to push through any weather thrown at ya. Folks, DO NOT attempt this challenge or risk kissing your viewing of other test drives goodbye.
This was a terrible video. It's not for major offroad but it would be great for camping or fishing trips etc... This guy makes it look like it can't do anything and he isn't very experienced in offroad

The muranos awd is trash and will overheat in 2.3 seconds if you push it on the slightest uphill test

Someone has finally figured a way to get a 2 inch lift. Couple that with a taller tire and it would be gold
nissan need to offer the Pathfinder with a 3" lift " Pathfinder Trail Maker"
I want to see you do that stuff with the bronco sport badlands, and Ford explorer timberline edition.
Yesss
Nissan Off-Raoder Life

I’d take this over a Subaru
I wanna see the ford explorer timberline do this cors
Did you get any transmission overheating during this entire test drive?
No, he didn't
yes its capable no question but ground clearance doesnt permit it. this car is only for camping,

Why is everyone referring to this as a crossover?
