Great video and explanation in depth perfect! I just have one question, I don't have a time limit but i am trying to claim a free domain from another provider. Obviously i was going to do an unlock and transfer with the code, but on my new platform i can only claim a free ( newly created ) domain. I am trying to avoid the transfer fee. If i end my subscription from the old platform i am moving from, is there a way to cancel the domain and is it ever going to get released so i can grab it as if it is a new one on the new platform is my question ?
Which registrar is the most helpful? I don't want GoDaddy or Namecheap. I want registrar's that will actually help with DNS set up and with security so that the DNS cannot be changed
I don't think I've ever heard an instructor who was more thorough in their explanations! As a side gig he should be a political commentator for national news.
If I bought a domain from cloudflare or somewhere else that offers free privacy, does that free privacy transfer to the new registrar or do I lose it and have to add privacy at the new registrar?
What about when your selling your domain name to someone how does the transfer of ownership and so on work. Please make a video on it using namecheap platform
I transferred a domain, but the old website is still showing up, even though I published the new site to the domain. Does it usually take a while to update it?
I got a domain name through in motion hosting earlier this month and when I tried to transfer it, I was told I had to wait the 60 days… how do I opt out?
I just got my domain name but nothing else on namecheap and i dont even know what to do next should i host it somewhere else or not . Plz help me out it for my drop shipping store.
Hi, I'm going to transfer my domain to the agency in other country. I know them personally, but still I need to make sure nobody will steal my domain. Please advise. Thank you, Leticia Nunez
Incredibly new/ green to this. I am currently with site ground. I want to bring things such as my website (I am creating a new one). I don’t want to create a new email and want to bring the email in house with the same name. I’m not sure if this is the video to do so, I have asked chat gtp but with minimal assistance/ understanding. Is this something I am able to do?
In short, yes, this is all possible. This video teaches you how to migrate your domain name itself to Namecheap, but you would also need to migrate your web hosting and email hosting. I don’t have a tutorial specifically on migrating either of those to Namecheap, but you can use the “All In One WP” plugin I show in this video with Namecheap: ruclips.net/video/r3xFGGSr01w/видео.html Email is a bit trickier. It depends on what your inbox setup at siteground looks like and which Namecheap product you migrate to. If you want to send more details, happy to take a look in my Discord server or via email.
If you already bought the domain, why do you still need to pay an annual fee? How is a domain actually stored or owned then? Can you do a video about it if you haven't alreadt?
Wix would not help me transfer the domain bc my old email was deleted and they told me the ONLY way to do it would be to update and wait 60 days. For this reason I am just letting it go and have a new one. My question is now tho....either way I am held hostage bc I wanted to buy with google domains for $12/month then use a different host...lol
Hey craylor whats the difference between hostinger wordpress hosting and web hosting can I use the cheaper one web hosting and still get free wordpress I've been watching some of your previous videos good job man keep it up
I used to use a teleprompter, but I recently stopped using it to be more engaging! I just have bullet points I reference and have an awesome producer who helps me get good takes.
I'm transferring my domain from Wordpress to Squarespace. They told me that the transfer would be completed December 19th, which is today. So I told people that my new Squarespace website would go live today. However the transfer still hasn't happened yet which is pissing me off. I have been waiting for days now. Is there anything I can do to speed this up?
Yes, that's great. But do you have to wait 60 days after purchasing your domain name to (point your new domain to your hosting service). I am talking about pointing not transferring.
Yes! As long as your domain doesn’t expire while transferring (which could only happen if you had less than 7 days time left on your domain when initiating the transfer).
@@Craylor Unless you did what I did. I changed the namesevers to the new hosting site BEFORE initiating the transfer away from Godaddy. I didn't know about the very long delay of at least 5 to 7 days. It's my work domain too - so I've probably lost my work email for at least 5 to 7 days. =(
DNS records like sub domains? Sub domains will always be deleted upon any transfer. Only thing to do is to copy, paste into a spreadsheet and re add on the new Domain dash
I’ve read that I need to connect my domain name to Wix before transferring my domain name. I have done what I have to in order to connect it but it says it takes 48 hours to connect. Do I wait the 48 hours for it to connect or can I transfer my domain name now since I’ve gone through the steps to connect it already?
You should be good to transfer it now. The new registrar will get the nameserver records from the old registrar even if the public view hasn’t updated yet.
Wish I had watched this before I started.... I looked into my information and it was set up 15 years ago, info was outdated so... I updated. Now I'm locked out for 60 days!!!!! Thought I was doing the right thing turned out to be VERY wrong.... I am not getting any help getting the site to work at my current provider.... My business is cooked.... So please be informed before you start this...
Oh wooow so GoDaddy would you give 5 days to tell them "nope!! Not me trying to transfer the domain!! Stranger danger!!" But only give you two hours to tell them "NOPE!!" If the ownership of domain was changed.
Hi! Thank you :) I was looking for a way to transfer my domain from Hostinger to cargo. Unfortunately, cargo is not supporting a transfer of domain. Any suggestions to how I should go about this? Perhaps delete my domain on Hostinger and then wait until it becomes available so I can use it on cargo?
I don't know where your able to opt out of the 60 day waiting period. I just today was told there was no way, even though Network Solutions forgot to move it from NS-managed SnapNames/Enom464, inc for 37 days!! (Of course they blamed it on ICANN) Bought at auction 4/30 at snapnames. They showed site held by eNom465/Network Solutions on that date. NS sends an email on 6/6 saying they've created a new account for my domain. ! 37 freakin' days! So I have to wait until 8/6 for my 60 days to expire. EDIT: YAY! I now see you list Dynadot! My man. Now I'll have to check Cloudflare out, see if I can use there CDN w/o too much trouble. It sounds complicated, especially for an established site; but I need to 'obfuscate' my DNS since all my domains will soon be on one reseller hosting account. Hard to build a PBN if their all on the same main dns! Nice and smooth instructions for noobs. Thanks Craylor.
Christian thank you for not speaking too fast. You were excellent at explaining everything.
best video I have found regarding this. Love that it is so updated!
Well Explained Thanks, I wanted to Transfer my Domain with one day left for Renewal expiration 😂🤣😂🤣
This video have helped me a lot🙏🏾
I swear I'm now in the same situation you were in. My domain will expire tomorrow 😂
Very educational, with context on the process I've found nowhere else. Thank you!
Thank you so much Christian! Safety, peace, love always. Thanks again.

I created my domain on GoDaddy less than 60 days ago. If I connect it to squarespace, can I later transfer it there after the 60 days?
I should have watched this before I used your video to make a new domain. Fun stuff!!
I don't think I've ever heard an instructor who was more thorough in their explanations! As a side gig he should be a political commentator for national news.
This video was very helpful!
If I bought a domain from cloudflare or somewhere else that offers free privacy, does that free privacy transfer to the new registrar or do I lose it and have to add privacy at the new registrar?
Helpful tutorial. But should I also uninstall WordPress, delete files in File Manager, etc.? What about the emails I have at current registrar?
Do I have to wait for the transfer to be complete before I can close the shop it was linked to?
What about when your selling your domain name to someone how does the transfer of ownership and so on work. Please make a video on it using namecheap platform
I transferred a domain, but the old website is still showing up, even though I published the new site to the domain. Does it usually take a while to update it?
Does the public info status of domain name at old registrar stay open (for anyone to see your phone number etc) last for the days during limbo?
I got a domain name through in motion hosting earlier this month and when I tried to transfer it, I was told I had to wait the 60 days… how do I opt out?

Exactly what I needed! Thank you
Good Video Man!
Hi, I just bought my domain a day ago that means I have to wait 60 days? I haven’t done anything besides paying the domain
what if your site is already built. woth wordpress, and so forth?
Cloudflare is offering domain registration at no-markup pricing. Can you make a video on this transferring process?
That's a great idea! I'm going to feature more content about Cloudflare's domain registrar in upcoming videos.
What if GoDaddy says I'm parked and can't transfer can't sell or anything. Thanks
if I buy a domain from GoDaddy can I transfer it to someone who has Godaddy account or I have to wait 60 days to transfer it?
Just say a $1 offer on my first year on one domain registrar and $20 after can i go for it and transfer to another registrar offering less per year

Hello! do you know how to transfer a domain from one web hosting server to another in the same godaddy account?

4:40 That's my case I think. 💀 Don't do business with wordpress... Do I have to wait more days after the waiting period?
THANNNK YOUUUUU i hate this nonsense but you made it easy for me!
is itt include transering hosting entirely ? not just domain name!
Yes, that's great. But do you have to wait 60 days after purchasing your domain name to (point your new domain to your hosting service). I am talking about pointing not transferring.
@Lisa R Kippen No Lisa. (prolly figured this out by now! lol!) Anyway, reggie lock has no effect on pointing DNS to your host of choice.
Hi, mate. Can i transfer a ccTLD to AWS ? Please advise. Thank you . Cheers
Do domains remain live while transferring??
Yes! As long as your domain doesn’t expire while transferring (which could only happen if you had less than 7 days time left on your domain when initiating the transfer).

Why transfer?
Hi you know how i Transferring Your Domain weebly to Weebly
If you have 10 months left and you transfer, would you then have 1yr abd 10months ?
yes. the time you have remaining will be added on to whatever time period you purchase. (usually 1 year). So 1 yr plus 10mos in your case.
Does anyone know how to migrate everything from Dreamhost to Webflow? Please I really need help
I changed from go daddy to goggle domains and my email will not work anymore - got a video to fix this?
Thank you bud 🙌🏻
So cold I keep transferring every year just to keep the costs down?
Yes, you sure can. You can transfer your domain every 60 days.
If I transfer my domain to Porkbun, will they automatically populate the DNS records?
DNS records like sub domains? Sub domains will always be deleted upon any transfer. Only thing to do is to copy, paste into a spreadsheet and re add on the new Domain dash

namecheap is charging 13.98 dollars per year for my old domains ... is there another domain seller more cheaper??
There sure is! Check out Porkbun. I’m also covering the cheapest domain registrar in the world (Cloudflare) in a video tomorrow.
i have .bm domain.. where to transfer as it is top level domain.. no body accept it.
love the content!
Godaddy is making me wait 60 days until I can transfer a expired domain I purchased. They say its standard practice 🙄
Hey can I transfer a domain that is in a grace period to namesilo?
Or should I just wait for it to expire to buy in on namesilo?
I dont know how GoDaddy gets away with what it does
Thank you 🙏👑🙌

Great wisdom thank you, I guess I am in 60 days of jail to move to Kajabi. Well at least I got good food, and no bunk mates, lol

suggestion is to contact Hostinger support and request instructions to transfer the domain
great video. great hair.
Getting off of godaddy who wanted to charge $22 per year for my domain name!!
GoDaddy must have done you wrong
that's so funny.....daddy done u wrong. Might be a good theme and punch line for a godaddy competitor ad. yes?
My advice to anyone watching…do not use crazy domains.
They are scammers.. just realised this today
