@@burntjello5667 Extremely weak is a bit of an overstatement it is still consistently one of my top damaging abilities even on smaller trash packs with EoGS. It's just not worth using on single target.
More so than M+ content, I'd like to see a kind of quick overview/impressions video of what you think about ele shammy in DF. Doesn't have to be super prepared or indepth, just 5-10 min of some overall thoughts from a veteran player. Personally as someone with a kind of hate/love relationship with ele (I love the "frostquake" and/or weaving playstyle we could play in e.g. Antorus using talents like MoTE, Icefury, Stormkeeper, EotGS etc, but dislike all elemental pet and ascendance-based builds), I'd be interested to know what kind of builds look likely to be meta as well.
My only gripe with ele right now is how weak lava burst and our elementals are. There's a lot of cool fire builds possible they just won't work if lava burst doesn't do enough damage. Also I feel like our elementals should do a lot more damage considering how long their CDs are. In m+ I am actually fairly happy that they shifted some power from earthquake to chain lightning. I feel like it gives ele more of a chance to shine on smaller pulls. In SL especially season 3 it could feel pretty weak outside of really big pulls (3-4 target range) compared to a lot of other classes.

New shaman feels alot less clunky to play. Havent had the time to test my talent build yet unfortunately but Ive been enjoying making my own for once instead of just defaulting to the same 3 choices with the other talent picker.
Hi Naesam, thanks a lot for your video, i really like the build and especially on ST (with Elemental up) it really comes together - but it mostly shows the weakness of the current Elemental Shaman: you pull like 37k DPS overall while other specs do 50-65k in this dungeon.
From a more casual perspective and not intending to go real high on keys, is elemental shaman a fun classe to play? im looking for a range spec/class, looking for fun perspective only ! Any suggestions that you may have sir? Thanks for your video
I love shooting 6-8 Lightning bolts at once, feels so powerful :D What i dont understand is, if I use the Primal Elementalist talent why cant i use both at the same time but if i dont use the talent i can use both at the same time (storm and Earth Elemental) . Is it because you have direct control over them? Sorry for the bad english
7:07 I don't fully understand what you are saying here with the echoes and lightning rod. What do you mean with overwriting? Aren't you just always overwriting your Shock and Blast rods with an echo? Or do you mean because EQ does a random target and you are accidentally choosing that one and re applying?
Hey nice video, its good to see something about ele shaman thats upto date. In this video did you have a tier set bonus or like jedi gear? Also around 15min in, you could have stunned all those birds/bugs etc with that caps totem to save the day hehe!
I'm curious how you are casting elemental blast when at 17:09 your talents don't show it taken. Was this a former build where that was possible? Following this talent setup now I am unable to cast elemental blast at all. Seems like a massive lack of damage due to that as well.
That wasn't the build I was running, its a bug on beta that it shows other saved builds when you open the talent pane. The build I was running is shown at the start

is it not worth overcap on maelstorm on aoe and pump chain lightning into the Lightnin rod? or maybe keep up the rod with EQ and ignore everything else? I was just wondering...

Too much button bloat from the looks of it. I’d play ele if I could reduce the button bloat, just makes it less fun to play. I think I’d try the lightning enh build instead.
@@liangdar9675 yea however now its that on aoe, maintaining the icefury buff, swapping the eleblast eq, flameshock juggle, and master of elements while trying to do normal rotation. Idk that many buffs to juggle just reduces the fun for me. Not saying it should be easy or smthing but this a bit over the top

This build (talents wise) is just for keys right? There is a more efficient Raid spec Id assume ?

Ele was my favorite spec for all of Shadowlands, and I think it's even more fun in DF. Would definitely recommend trying it from a fun perspective

Yes, because you can only have a single controllable pet at a time, and as such non-primal elementals are considered guardians instead of pets.
I take one look at the thumbnail. And see spriest below the tank. And just instantly become depressed 😔
If it makes you feel any better, I lost to the tank too when I played some other builds

My biggest problem with the current ele in m+ is there's alot of buffs and stuff to juggle, making it feel really clunky imo

Obviously not, go from, for example, 1k dps to 3k to 5k etc it doesny need millions of damage to feel good
