Everytime I watch Angel, I love Lorne more and more. Just something so unusual in fiction about a character who gets pulled between dimensions and doesn't want to go back, makes a new life and everything. Then where we first meet him in Angel, he's very much representing the ethos of the show, the shades of grey, some demons being able to just live among humans and such. His karaoke bar is such a great little setting to get storylines started as well since pretty much anyone and everyone has a reason to go there. I feel like they missed a trick with Buffy by not utilising Willy and his bar a little more, he appears fairly often but then they drop him.
Loved the Pylea Mini Arc with comedy overload, and a great character interaction. It was great to see this show take this strange turn in the other world. Lorne of course doesn't want to back to Pylea and the way Cordy The Cow is being treated it's no wonder, and we get out first proper look at Fred. Gavin turns up in pure lawyer mode about the hotel, but there is no way the guys are leaving. Again we have a kind of homage to Back To The Future where Marty had to drive his car through a portal to reach the past, similar here to get to Pylea. Gunn of course would never leave them to go alone, and of course they leave the book! Great comedy when Wesley says ' I think we are winning, and the next shot is all of them captured and bound together. After the guys are in prison we then get to see the twist with Cordelia as the Queen, a part that was made for her. This sets up a great finish to the Season.
This was Amy Acker's first TV role, which is awesome, she does seem to favor genre TV. We do appreciate everything you do Dakara, you're a definite part of my week & you always brighten it up if it needs that. Get well soon. I really love this, I mean we've seen Angel pulled into a Hell dimension before. Of course, the dimension he was pulled into wasn't anything as tame, if the dimensions are rungs on a ladder, which I'm sure they're not, but if you think about them like that then Angel didn't go to a rung, he went to where the ladder leads, hit the end & stepped down. As it was a Hell dimension for Demonic gods, not for demons, from what I recall. Didn't think we'd ever step into another dimension so I was & still am thrilled by this. It's fascinating, a whole medieval society with it's own rules & peoples. Love the humor, I love Gunn's struggle & the team's response, you're right it was very mature & grown-up. And trust Cordy to end up in a hell & become Queen. Can't wait to see what happens next. Merry Christmas Dakara, I truly hope you & your family have the very best holidays filled with lots of love & laughter and great food, definitely great food!
Strong disagree on the "you do not deserve" your community. You got back what you put in, and as I've said before and likely will again it's a genuine privilege to enjoy the ride. Your authenticity is what keeps me coming back time and again. I have a friend who streams for a living, so I've heard how tough it is (he couldn't attend a big gathering of our social group bc even a long weekend off can hit his income and he worries he wouldn't be able to keep his audience even with a small break) As much as it IS a privilege to be able to do this sort of thing "professionally" VERY few will break through. For most people it's an endless crush of trying to build and retain an audience. It takes a great deal of character, passion and commitment to do it, so you absolutely have my admiration! I genuinely think that all the best people underrate their own value, and over estimate the value of others (to get political for a hot minute, recently saw an interview with Angela Rayner and she observed how this REALLY effected her early career as a union rep and in politics. Assuming all the posh university graduates were always competent, clever and well prepared... then learning that they're mostly just idiots who got lucky, to paraphrase substantially :P) This arch is definitely a wild ride. The Angel writers obviously wanted to try something completely different, and as odd as it is... I've always enjoyed it. And Amy Acker absolutely nails this performance.... I will admit to being a complete sucker for a southern belle though. Anna Paquin in True Blood has the same effect on me, I swear >
Is it just me or are you sick a lot? Maybe it’s just because I’ve binged your Buffy season 5 and Angel season 2 videos over the last 24 hours and maybe you recorded all these videos months ago in quick succession but I’m just being a little concerned lol. I am now a big fan of your channel and would hate to hear of anything happening to you
Cordy is a queen. You don't make her a queen, you just acknowledge it.

I agree so much with this lol

There truly is no place like Plrtz Glrb.
I think we're winning.

"Italian food" Dakara all about it.
"Thai food" Dakara all about it.
Noticing a theme here. Lol
Food is life haha

So glad u finally got introduced to Fred now Dakara.
Nice reference to Back to the Future
7:01 Ah, so you have seen Lost. Did you recognize Holland Manners as Bernard, Rose's husband?

All hail Demon Empress Cordelia
amy ackers character is very quirky in Angel. if you like that, you should watch Person of Interest, where she plays the hacker Root
cordy of corse she a queen lol
would you consider reacting to season 1 of True Detective? it's only 8 episodes.
I am concerned about the watch order here. I wonder if anybody else is.
This is a very silly arc, but it leads Amy Acker into the show and that can only be a good thing.

Are you ever reacting to house of the dragon? Thought you loved game of thrones
